Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Sunday, April 20, 2008

In a Florida county with one of the nation's highest foreclosure rates, business is buzzing for B. Keith Councell, a fourth generation beekeeper and licensed bee remover. Bees colonize abandoned homes in numbers as great as 60,000, which he evicts without protective netting. "If I take care of them they're going to take care of me eventually," he said.

So THAT'S where they all went.

This is a wonderful, touching story about a man who loves bees. Worth a read on a Sunday morning.

bees are big business!

good on this guy.

Presumably, the bees would keep the meth-heads from stealing the pipes and wires.

We have two abandoned houses on our block that we and our neighbors try to keep up (mow the yard, plant flowers...). For some reason, the banks aren't even trying to sell them. They have "Notice of Abandonment" stickers on their doors but other than that, it's like they've just been forgotten.

We're terrified they're going to be torched or addicts are going to squat in them. It's a massive problem all through our neighborhood and city.

Obviously it's the Cast of "Bee Movie" hiding out from very dissapointed children and revenge-seeking parents. I mean 9 bucks is 9 bucks. Ya feel me?

I would have thought this would be good news to all the lefites that worship St. ALGORE, isn' that good for the environment and helps to bring back the "bee" populations.

HOME FORCLOSURES - ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY...who'd a thunk it?
