I haven't watched too much TV debate since Kennedy vs Nixon; Although the Lojack on Bush's back was pretty funny.

HRC needs to be careful not to fall into the Nixon "bad guy" role. Maybe the makeup people can somehow hide the 5-o'clock shadow and the scowl.

Lets the lies begin. Here is a round by round take on the events as they unfold.

Round one: Hillary comes out with a whopper! Obama is stunned but then jabs back with 3 small white ones.

Round Two: Obama begins to attack with both falsehoods and exaggerations. Hillary appears stunned and moves to a neutral corner. Late in the round her memory fades and she misremembers several events.

Round three: With Reverend Wright working Obamas corner he comes out firing and landing power shots. First he hits below the belt and to our surprise she actually buckles(must be a set of balls down there somewhere). Then he puts her on the canvas for the first time with a double dousy mischaracterization of her record. She gets up on the count of 8 or to hear he handlers tell it she was only taking a slight rest before the next round.

Round four: Hillary is steamed and comes out with a Tony Rezko haymaker. Obama is stunned and so are his blind supporters in the audience. Then she hits Obama with a barrage of body shots based on his record in the Illinois senate. Hope fades among everyone but the most ardent of Obama supporters. The round ends with Obama breathing heavy.

Round Five: Both candidates advance to the center of the ring cautiously. Obamas legs appear to still be wobbly. He appears pale almost white for the first time in this race. After a couple of weak innuendos by Obama Hillary rears back and throws a bolo lie that has Ted Kennedy spewing his brandy. Blood Splatters on Keith Olbermann sitting in the front row and several pollsters with signs reading "Barrack on the Attack". Then Obama goes down like Rcade at a gay pride festival. Just as the count is about to hit ten Jesse Jackson rings the bell ending the round. Al Sharpton and Reverend Wright drag Obama to his stool.

Round Six: The start of the round is delayed because the tape on Obama's glove is torn. I Wonder how that happened. After the fight resumes but Hillary is acting drunk. Bill Clinton enters the ring and argues with the ref that she was slipped a roofie or just had one too many shots last night in a PA bar. After the ring is cleared the fight resumes. At this point the referee(Tim Russert) seeing Obama looks beatin decides to insert himself and asks Hillary a question. "When was the last time you went hunting"? When she has no immediate lie available Russert stops the fight by disqualifying Hillary and keeps Mr. emtpy suits reputation intact.

We already have sensible gun laws. It's the criminals who are the ones who don't bother obeying them.

As for why the NRA and gun owners are so against any form of gun registration is that if in the future our government ever got into the wrong hands (and we all know how easily that can happen) the authorities would then know exactly who among all our citizens owned guns, how many guns they owned, and where they lived should any Administration ever decide to confiscate them.

Our Second Amendment is exactly why our country has never been taken over by any enemy -- either from within or without.

Hitler wanted to enforce stricter gunlaws in pre-WW II Germany as he was rising in power and later when in complete control he convinced the German citizens it would be in their own best interest to no longer even own a gun. The German citizens willingly complied and gave up their guns to the German government. Need I say more as to what happened to them and their country afterwards?

What a terrible debate. Most of the debate involved questions regarding each others credibility based on stupid overinflated news stories. While that sort of stuff is important to touch upon, it shouldn't be the basis for the whole debate. I'll give Obama the win on this one, just because he kept on trying to change the topic to actual real issues. He's shown himself to be the most intelligent of the 3 choices and the most sincere politician. I still have plenty of disagreements with him, and will probably vote 3rd party, but I won't be too disappointed if Obama is elected.

Not directed to me, but I'll give my opinion anyways. Yes, it should be addressed, but only for a few questions. They shouldn't be the focus of the debate. Most of these issues are things that have been overinflated by the media. It's considered entertaining for news sources to find little bits of gossip here and little out of context sound bits there. The news takes it and runs with it because it makes people watch the news, because it's a bit more like Jerry Springer that way. This entertainment factor raises ratings and makes them money.

Since these are overinflated by the media themselves, they are not all that important. The real important points of these debates should be the real issues. Yet most people don't even know the difference between Obama and Clinton's stances because the focus all along in the news has been about attacking each others credibility. And last nights debate just made that point perfectly clear.

I agree, but then maybe it's time for the 2 candidates to start the process. They and their staffs have engaged in this mudslinging. What else is there to focus on? Hillary seems to think it's more important to bullshit about a Bosnia trip that doesn't mean shit. Barrack shoots his mouth off about some poor folks turing to God and guns during tough times. If they can't start talking about real issues, the MSM isn't going to either.

Oh and BTW, blaming Bush for this doesn't count as addressing a problem. Neither does trying to predict what McCain is going to do.

I'm taking into account his zombie followers who feel that they have to explain to all the common folk what he says that is alway's taken out of context by the MSM. I just hope that if elected, his promise of not raising taxes on those making less than $200k wasn't taken out of context.

I only saw about 30 seconds. After Obama mentioned lowering gas prices it was time to switch the channel.I believe he also has ads running skewing folks about lowering gas prices. Sounds like he is relying on the lies of Nov 2006 and the anything goes attitiude to gain power.

I'm sorry,no matter how hard I try to like Obama, I cannot. I think he is a complete phony. I want to like him, but I don't. I think John McCain with a veto proof Congress would not be so bad. So if Clinton does not get the nomination, as much as it pains me, I have to go with McCain -- I foresee some bad stuff down the road for Obama when his shield falls away
