Pretty obvious they would have chosen their top troops for this campaign.

Hell of a Job....

Good opportunity to get rid of dead weight. Nice move Iraq. One more step toward forming a functional government. Boy,...that would really piss some liberals off!

Yeah busyB, success is just around the corner.

Have faith & patience, DANNI....patience!

6 more months !!!

And who will they be fighting against now?

I'm hoping by "fire" they meant shot...

1,300 more soldiers that our troops will have to defend against, what happened to all the weapons that these men have???

Is there anything that this Administration touches that does not turn to CRAP!!!!!

GOOD...time of Iraq to get rid of the dead weight military and police...its not like there is a iraqi draft....they will have new replacements in no time....im sure poeple need a job....this will serve as a reminder to the rest that are not committed...you fight or are fired and go to jail

but as we know the left loves the military to desert their post and run from the fight.....this is truely.... a victory for the Libs

I'm hoping by "fire" they meant shot...

How dare they not fight for our/their country!

Line 'em up against a wall for opposing the comfortable armchair whims of "Rob the A Hole"!

re: "this will serve as a reminder to the rest that are not committed...you fight or are fired and go to jail"

So, we invade their country for their own good, and when they are ungrateful for our benevolent bombs, you get all authoritarian and pissy. Do you viscerally recall the 20th century, or is it all academic to you?

BETLEG....Bombs???....i think we dropped more leaflets than bombs

but any how.... they signed up for military service and that service includes the defending of their own country

military service is military serivce.... no matter what country you live in....American troops will get punished too if they leave their post....or bail on a fight

thier punishment was a just punishment....no country likes to pay for a solider that does not fight

This just in:

Sectarian militia recruiting exceeding targets this quarter.

Maybe these guys could get jobs as New Orleans police officers before the next hurricane rolls through.

"i think we dropped more leaflets than bombs"

How's that whole "greeting us with flowers" thing working out?

JO...YEA having a civilised war can be a bitch....maybe next time will can go after the military and government...instead of just the government.... the ability to destroy the enemy is taking away his will and ability to fight....having mercy for a opponent can cause problems down the road

but hey generals will always disagree on how wars will be fought....it will happen in todays wars and it will happen in tommorrows wars

but i understand the way we fought this war....it was about the iraqi government... instead of the iraqi military.... if it was not then this war would have been a blood bath from the start.... it would have been the kick down the door with no warning... shoot it up.... and before it was all over.... iraq would have sat in a pile of rubble

Yawnnnnnnn more tripe from the Bushites. Quite typical if You ask Me.

..........they are not willing to fight for their country..........

.......but we should ??
..........hhmmmmm...........

.........they won't spend their oil surplus billions to rebuild Iraq.......

......but we are spending borrowed billions to rebuild it for them.??.......

....its true....a sucker is born every minute........

Yeah, what is the deal with these Iraqis anyway? So what if we toppled their government and disbanded their police & military, which led to a complete fracturing of the country along sectarian lines. Big friggin' deal! Why can't these losers get a properly functioning puppet government and loyal, organized military while their country is occupied by 150,000 foreigners. Muslims, I tell ya, you just can't help 'em. Sheeeesh!

Yep Newyawker, same as those Viet Cong.

But maybe this time it won't take the invaders 30 years to get the message.

Only five more years at this rate; right, BusyB?

What an idiot.

Looks like we know where a future Iraqi President will come from. Of course, his military records will have strangely disappeared by then...

Or...he'll blatantly dodge the draft under the pretext that he "loathes the military," then go fuck out on his wife & daughter, and his country.

Hell, that's nothing. Boy blunder fired 350,000 in 2003.

Strangely reminiscent of the idiot son of the asshole.

This incident has squeezed out the complex problems law enforcement is facing in the nation. I welcome it. It exposes the unreliable police presonnels, and Maliki is showing some leadership in willing to purge the unfaithfuls in the police force.

No one should expect a clean start in the Iraqi situation. There will be growing pains and regular day to day problems just because Iraqis are humans just like others.

Exposure of problems like these and dealing with them as they come will over time make the nation a stronger one.
