it happens, many people do not know shiite from shinola - aren't they all muslims?

i'm reminded of a story...

JOHN MCCAIN: "There are numerous threats to security in Iraq and the future of Iraq. Do you still view al-Qaeda on Neptune as a major threat?"

GEN. DAVID PETRAEUS: "It is a major threat. Though it is certainly as not as major a threat as it was say, 15 months ago."

MCCAIN: "Certainly not an obscure sect of the Shinolas overall?

PETRAEUS: "No, sir."

MCCAIN: "Or Silver Surfers or anybody else then?

Senior moments are not what we want in a president

BWAH!

McCain is so old he can't tell the difference between shit and shinola, between his ass and a hole in the ground, between Post War Germany and Iraq.

He's
Brokeback Bush's third term waiting to happen.

He's not the Maverick he used to be.

Do. Not. Want.

Be Well.

so either he is a confused old man or doesnt know the basic theology of Al Queda

either are a condemnation, which is it?

"Senior moments are not what we want in a president"

Absolutely! We used to think it was sort of endearing with Reagan ... until we found out later how horrified we probably should have been.

McCain is older than Reagan was, and showing a lot more signs of "senior moments" than Reagan did at the same point.

Anybody who isn't at least moderately concerned is only kidding themselves.

Reagan didn't have McCain's temper either.

The new book coming out has too many episodes to dismiss McCain's temper as OK. He even went to blows with Renzi, his fellow Arizona compatriot.

...and apparently called Cindy the "C" word in public.

so either he is a confused old man or doesn't know the basic theology of Al Queda

either are a condemnation, which is it?

Ummm, that would be BOTH!

Thanx fer askin'. ^_^

Be Well.

here, the sunni, shia, and sufi are in agreement.

Nanc: they also agree that Bush fucked up Iraq, according to te Pentagon.

Bush the Uniter!

Nanc, do you even read the links before you post them? Your own link contradicts your statement:

It is a concept widely familiar to the Sunnis, Shias and Sufis, each group having a different interpretation on it. This concept has been around for centuries, and was in debate, long before its modern western contemporary counterparts surfaced in scientific and science fiction movies and circles.

Different interpretations and debate do not amount to agreement.

Go back to advocating the violation of our civil liberties.

the sunnis use semtek on their bomb vest and the shites just strap on dynamite in an across the chest configuration.

WASHINGTON -- Iran is supporting both Sunni and Shiite terrorists in the Iraqi civil war, according to secret Iranian documents captured by Americans in Iraq.

The news that American forces had captured Iranians in Iraq was widely reported last month, but less well known is that the Iranians were carrying documents that offered Americans insight into Iranian activities in Iraq.

An American intelligence official said the new material, which has been authenticated within the intelligence community, confirms "that Iran is working closely with both the Shiite militias and Sunni Jihadist groups." The source was careful to stress that the Iranian plans do not extend to cooperation with Baathist groups fighting the government in Baghdad, and said the documents rather show how the Quds Force -- the arm of Iran's revolutionary guard that supports Shiite Hezbollah, Sunni Hamas, and Shiite death squads -- is working with individuals affiliated with Al Qaeda in Iraq and Ansar al-Sunna.

It doesn't matter. They are all just small, brown, conquered people--fit only for target practice.

Anyway, they don't even appreciate the freedom and democracy we have brought them.

McCain once again gaffes huge(what is this, 5 times now? You know you're out there when warhawk lieberman is correcting you twice) and the MSM continues to be his base, and lick his sack.

People complain that Obama gets a free ride, but it's not nearly as bad as the "man love" McCain gets. What gives?

And what is McCain really made of?

Bush and Quayle and Iraq Epoch fail.(sung to the tune of "what are little girls/boys made of) That's what.

WASHINGTON -- Iran is supporting both Sunni and Shiite terrorists in the Iraqi civil war,....

well given that we are given money and arms directly to the sunni militia and our arms and money are going through the iraqi govt to the mahdi and badr brigades....

so are we.

It doesn't matter. They are all just small, brown, conquered people--fit only for target practice.

do you even recognize why your second statement rings true when preceded by your first?

Here's the "progress" in Iraq McCain is hanging his dumbshit presidency on:

Some of Menendez's figures are downright infuriating. This is what $25 billion has gotten us:

* 43% of population lives in absolute poverty
* prior to war 19% of children suffered malnutrition; today 28%
* last year 75% elementary-aged kids went to school; now 30%
* prior to war 50% lacked access to clean water; now 70%
* only 50 of 142 primary health care centers are open to public

Another one of those urban legends.

I read the opening scene of the upcoming flop, "Bush", by Oliver Stone, where Bush is arguing with his staff about the "Axis of Evil" line in the SOTU. He argues that Iran needs to go in, along with Iraq and North Korea, because it'll go a long way toward energizing Khatami and the revolutionaries.

Which suggests that we're to believe he knows the names and ambitions of revolutionary leaders known to probably less than 1% of the American public, but that he doesn't know the difference between Shi'a and Sunni?

You libs are hysterical. Bush is a mindless, alcoholic college boy who is too dumb to be president. Then he's a diabolical mastermind who plants evidence, lies to get us and our key allies into a war, and orchestrates the 9/11 attacks.

Don't ever change. You're better than TV.

The speech was probably already written when and IF Bush argued about including Iran and No. Korea.

In the 2000 Presidential debates he didn't know if our biggest allies in Europe had Presidents or Prime Ministers, nor the names of the current officeholders.

I've always known the names of leaders of practically any country that had been in the news for whatever reason in the last couple of years. In fact, I can remember the names of those who held them over the last 20 years

So?

Are you going to vote for Obama, who admits he doesn't know much of that stuff either?

Big deal. I'm less impressed that the president can click off the Belgian Undersecretary for Bike Path Safety, than that he's committed to the idea that America should never, ever have one. My point, though, was that it's counterintuitive to suggest that Bush knows the intimate details of Iranian independence movements, but doesn't know that there are Sunni and Shi'a sects of Islam. It's preposterous.

So yer saying that Oliver Stone's new film might not be completely 100% accurate then?

Quelle Shock! Quelle Suprise!!

Hold the fuggin' presses!!!

Actually, the account that Bush didn't know the difference between Shias and Sunnis was first raised by JK Galbraith's kid in 2004 in a book he wrote.

It may be apocryphal or it may be accurate there is no definitive proof one way or another.

Former Ambassador to Croatia Peter Galbraith is claiming President George W. Bush was unaware that there were two major sects of Islam just two months before the President ordered troops to invade Iraq, RAW STORY has learned. In his new book, The End of Iraq: How American Incompetence Created A War Without End, Galbraith, the son of the late economist John Kenneth Galbraith, claims that American leadership knew very little about the nature of Iraqi society and the problems it would face after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.

A year after his "Axis of Evil" speech before the U.S. Congress, President Bush met with three Iraqi Americans, one of whom became postwar Iraq's first representative to the United States. The three described what they thought would be the political situation after the fall of Saddam Hussein. During their conversation with the President, Galbraith claims, it became apparent to them that Bush was unfamiliar with the distinction between Sunnis and Shiites. Galbraith reports that the three of them spent some time explaining to Bush that there are two different sects in Islamto which the President allegedly responded, "I thought the Iraqis were Muslims!"

McCain's temper on display once again.

Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain's intemperateness. In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, "You're getting a little thin up there." McCain's face reddened, and he responded, "At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt." McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days.

......that's the Bush magic........

......take a look around.....the same elites rule us as rule Iraq.......and the same scenario is coming to America though with far more stealth......

You have obviously (and conveniently) forgotten that back when he was running for President, Bush had difficulty on multiple occasions identifying world leaders. Including one particularly amusing time when he couldn't remember who the President of Pakistan was and then gamely came up with General General.

In fact, I can remember the names of those who held them over the last 20 years

Nothin'. But it's only in Europe and Canada that people assume that, since it's a good idea to have bike paths and to have them as safe as possible, we need to devote an entire government bureaucracy to it.

And, as usual, you made my point for me. Thanx much.

sorry times up....

you libs are so freakin smart that I just assume that even though you werent on the site that you would know that I asked you a question.
and anyway.....gee it called a sunni a shia or whatever.
NOW if he were in texas and called a longhorn an aggie...well then we would have trouble.

and have they ever thought of having shia wear one color dirty robe and the sunni wear another color dirty robe?
ah but the main point is. just because someone mispeaks about shia this or sunni that, that doesnt mean he isnt qualified to be pres.
someone please HONESTLY tell me what obama or hillary has EVER done to be qualified.....
