Computer software giant Microsoft has given Yahoo a three-week deadline to respond to its offer to buy out the internet company for $44.6bn (22.3bn). Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said his company would take its case directly to Yahoo's shareholders if Yahoo's directors did not respond by 26 April.

My Yahoo music subscription sucks. I'll hold off canceling until I see what Microsoft offers.

Screw em. Don't need either of them.

You can bet Yahoo will suck if MS gets ahold of them.

I have to have a few PC's, but my Macs and Google give me everything I need.

If Microsoft or Yahoo went out of business tomorrow I'd be just fine.

This computer I'm typing on (my laptop) has never crashed or even coughed. Can't say that about the PC's.

My XP and Vista machines never crash either and, unlike other OS's, can actually run an assload of programs natively.

I installed Vista on one of my PC"s Thing was so friggin' buggy I uninstalled it and reinstalled XP

And, ahem, they make native versions of almost every program I need for Mac

Not knocking your experience, but everyone I know who installed Vista did the same thing. Since programs are written for old code I don't know how your computer is working hunky dorey since most of the 3rd party software doesn't work properly with all the patches.

I usually wait a year after a new OS until the bugs are all worked out. Learned my lession again with Vista

Well, unless you're using Microsoft applications only

Glad it's working fine for you

You will be assimilated.

I have several PC's running Windows

And three Macs

PC's couldn't even run my main software until 3 years ago

If you enjoy having to clean up spyware, update your antivirus daily, having to download never ending security fixes, defragging, and having to buy new hardware so Vista will work, repairing your registry when things go awry, fucking with the DRM crap, well then M$ is for you.

After I install Linux on mom's puter, the weekly calls to come fix her computer stopped.

I have no problems with Vista but I have 4 gigs of ram. The people I know who installed a version on an older computer have problems.

Microsoft sucks. Vista is full of bugs and they can't fix them.

wait....so we like...don't have Monopoly laws anymore?

MSFT will be a great stock this week. Watch.
