No one is ever going to stop the world's oldest profession.
Better to have prostitution legalized so it can be controlled and regulated. Prostitutes can then work in a safe environment -- much better than being picked up off the street by a total stranger and getting in his car. It's also better from a health vantage for both the prostitute and her customer as the women would get regular medical check-ups to make sure they're passing on no diseases and the ages of the women who work there can be verified so no underage girls can be exploited.

Legalizing prostitution would also free up the local cops to go after real criminals instead.
