Yes, but it was not a mathematical fact in March that Bill could not win the nomination within the existing rules. And his continued pursuit of the nomination was not damaging the party's chance in the general. Critical distinctions.

If this were any other candidate(s), one without the huge clout and reputation as of having the willingness and ability to crush their detractors careers, then maybe the party leaders would have the cajones to force and end to her campaign which has become a campaign against democratic victory.

In June, when neither candidate has reached the 2024 delegates needed to win by delegates alone, and Obama still has a minimal delegate lead, Hillary Clinton, having passed him in the popular vote, will have a strong argument to be the nominee.

Clearly you haven't been watching the Democratic debates or any of the policy speeches Obama has made over the past year. He's a substantive candidate who has articulated his plans for all of those areas and many others. He holds his own in debates against Hillary, who is as knowledgeable and well-versed on policy issues as any presidential candidate in decades.

Although Obama could use more signature proposals like Biden's plan for Iraq, he's not an empty suit who runs around making nice speeches and offering nothing concrete. That's a strawman concocted by right-wing spinmeisters and some Hillary supporters.

Sorry, Rob but I am a naturalized American that started voting in 1977 and have voted the straight republican ticket in every national, state and local election until 2006 when I voted for a Democrat senator for my state because I couldn't stomach the "new" republicans and the dope in the white house that was leading them. Would someone give me one Policy or idea Obama has come up with on his own, other then sitting down and talking to dictators. He said this at a debate and Hillary corrected him and said you could not sit down with dictators before preliminary talks. the next debate Obama says he would have Preliminary talks. The guy does not think things through. He has never been a leader of anything of importance. He has no ideas of his own. And Pelosi and Reid want him because they will be able to control him and do all of there far left spending they want. This guy is an empty suit. It would be like having the Mailroom clerk running the company.

When a party has betrayed most of its principles, has compromised those few principles that it hasn't betrayed with disastrous policies and still marches in unthinking lockstep with the useless idiot and dangerous ideologue that it chose as leaders, then the time has come for that party to be punished. In our system we vote with our feet when that time arrives.

Unless, in a worst case scenario, the opposition party looks like it will be even worse than and as useless as the incumbents. The system has told Hillary that she has lost and the only way that she can change that is by perverting the system to make that worst case scenario a reality. In the extremely unlikely even that she could do that, her "victory" would quickly turn into defeat for her and her party and both would deserve it.

Limbaugh, a clever man, a skilled propagandist and a despicable POS, has figured this out. It's about time that Hillary and the Dems did too.

Re-invest in American infrastructure like roads, bridges and schools. Basically, stop letting American lobbyists write policies that benefit their corporate masters at the expense not just of America's long term prosperity but her very survival. Quit playing the disaster capitalism game that is making America a pariah on the world stage more so than Iraq.

Basically, all three candidates are corporate biatches. If they weren't they wouldn't have made it this far.

Two important unstated points. All things related to the US Government change slowly. It is a huge bureaucracy with many inputs and paths. The President is but one cog in that machinery, albeit the highest profile, domestically and internationally.

Do you really think subsidizing people is less prudent than subsidizing Corporations? Our Corporations are transferring wealth overseas or haven't you noticed? Shall we continue to let them prosper and dodge taxes while squeezing the last drop of blood from the middle class?

Nothing is more popular at home or unpopular abroad than bullying our neighbors. Clinton's popularity jumped ten points when he bombed Afghanistan, but hatred of our power only grew.

McCain wants to continue Bush's failed policies. We have gained nothing from our military adventures. General Franks quit when Kissinger's Bremer moved in and implemented totally insane policies. Bremer pushed every Baathist underground and Franks entourage out of the Iraq. Sanchez took over and it soon became clear he was unfit. Iraq is in the midst of a PR campaign about our next election. The surge has acconplished NOTHING.

By mere association with Bush Policy, McCain proves he is insane. On his recent trip to Iraq he demonstrated his complete ignorance of the conflict and was corrected by the Jewish Warmonger Leiberman.
