Who will file a lawsuit first: HillBilly or Hope?

It's akin to an unsanctioned football game that one team wants to have count towards getting them in the playoffs. And when that doesn't happen, they want a new playover game at the end of the season.

Hillary, you should have been paying attention to your campaign staff. You know, showing off your 'Executive Experience'.

Instead, you blew through $120,000,000 and went broke without even knowing it until you were. Then, your political genius, Mark Penn, and the rest of your upper staff never planned for a Post Super Tuesday campaign. Much like George and Dick and Don didn't plan for trouble after invading Iraq.
Face it, Hillary Clinton didn't show any 'Executive Powers' better than those of George W Bush if you honestly compare her campaign to Obama's.

Serves that skank bitch right. What a shmuck She is.

Larry Mohr

If I were a betting man and if I had money to burn I would bet that now there won't be a redo in Michigan either. Even before this development in Florida it looked unlikely. In order to fa June 3rd primary to happen, the Legislature would have had to pass some news laws. They are now on Easter break for two weeks. Also, there will be school elections on May 6 and according to the county clerks, who adminster electeions under the direction of the Secretaty of State, they would need to months after that to prepare for another election.

The solution to all this will be either a 50-50 spilt in delegates, or a convention floor fight.

Stay tuned, it will get interesting.

What does a 50-50 split do? All that does is validate the position of the states: you don't want to have our votes count, simply because we're tired of having New Hampshire and Iowa hog the early primary schedule.

I don't see how anyone would go for the 50-50. Except Obama, of course. But Clinton wouldn't; the states shouldn't; the DNC won't.

"What does a 50-50 split do? "

It allows those Florida pols to be seated at the convention and get their 15 seconds of fame. And that's all they deserve for fucking up as badly as they did.

What specific "Executive Powers" leadership has B.O shown? I mean really? What are his leadership accomplishments?

Oh Florida, ...so much to answer for!

Here's a cute story about voter apathy in Florida...

www.shortnews.com

On topic?

50/50 split on the delegates or Hillary and Michelle fight it out in a foxy boxing scenario at the convention.

Hillary is a dirty fighter but Michelle should handily clean her clock.

Check Hill's gloves for chloroform before the bell rings!

Be Well.

Why should we even consider a group of people that can't even hold an election? They could not even get it right when they tried to choose between Al Gore and Buchanan.

Dud, I have thought you were messed up but, to even put HRC in a "foxy" scenario is further confirmation you should not be able to vote in this country.

He tried to get some Chicago steel workers janitorial and fast food jobs. Are you saying that doesn't count? He would have tried to help some Chicago coal miners find jobs to but the city buses didn't have free rides for seniors then.

That a way Dems. Piss away the state of Fla. McCain loves ya.

McCain loves ya

McCains an unrepenant horndawg who would fuck a rock if it had a crack in it to start with.

Him and Bubba both got special "Buy in Bulk" discount cards over at the Emporers Club.

Over and above their senior citizen discounts.

Be Well.

"Florida will not redo Democratic primary"

As accurately predicted 58 (+/-) hours ago:

Mitch talked about the chances of the so-called do-over election here in Florida ...
Hans

Ah, mah far Leftie fiends, er uh, friends, discover the Reichwing joy of Hillery bashing that they had been denied all these years!

It is a fine spectacle, indeed.

The Repubs interfered in the process here in Florida and, with the extreme short-sightedness of Howard Dean, another Obamite, have managed to disenfranchise my vote.

The only candidate that cheated on his promise not to campaign in Florida was B Obama, and his penalty should be that we count the certified vote we had here as it stands, with the delegates we already elected.

Dems HAD a great chance of carrying Florida this time because the GOP has disenfranchised voters here the last 8 years, pissing off all kinds of people.

Now the GOP have managed to move up the Primaries, both GOP and Dem, but the GOP merely cut the number of available delegates in half, held a campaign, and selected delegates, knowing, it appears, that Howard Dean would not be able to count that high.

Florida screwed up your vote Corky, accept the responsibility of that fact.

Many people, especially in Michigan, feel the same way. Check it out........

"What TPM does not realize is that the removal (of Barack's name from the Michigan ballot) was an attempted power play by Obama because he knew he could not run well in Michigan and thought that the pressure of Iowa (protect the whole first thing) would allow him to shut down the possibility of a Michigan beauty contest being deemed meaningful. And indeed Obama's hardball ploy worked. Michigan was not covered."

"The bottom line is this:

Obama deserves, and will get, no sympathy for what happened in Michigan. No candidate campaigned there (although Obama's supporters in Michigan made a strong pitch to vote for 'Uncommitted' to try to hurt Clinton), and the playing field was level, as it was in Florida (well, at least until Barrack ran his TV ad, anyways)."

Been at the head of one of the most brilliant, successful, and uniquely cohesive campaigns in American history.

Compare his with Hillary's. She was unaware she was out of money after blowing through $120,000,000 (just from her Pres. run, another $50 million from an uncontested reelection campaign for all intents and purposes), let her staff go at each other's throats, was unaware there was no Post SuperTuesday plan, for starters.

Senators have no executive experience. Governors have no foreign policiy experience.

Obama's campaign IS a huge entity. One that he's managed with incredible competence, far exceeding anything anyone thought possible a year ago.

Obama has no judgment.

He will not succeed.

Sorry..

Murphy

I CAN TELL YOU THIS MUCH.....it does not matter what party you area part of...if they decided to not count my vote.....i would switch parties to teach them a lesson on who is in charge

Republican or Democrat.....these parties have been ignoring the people far too often...they have become a power without the people

ONE DAY WE WILL WAKE UP AND WANT TO CHANGE....BUT THEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE...THEIR POWER WILL BE TOO STRONG TO CHANGE

Oh, Corky posts from the Shillary Clinton Site MYDD.

That puts your cut and paste job in the same category as posting anti-Dem material from Rush Limbaugh's. Zero credibility.

Sorry Corky. You're not going to get to vote again, and since the GOP will probably win Florida anyway, your protest vote for Lyndon LaRouche. Nader. or whoever you throw away your vote on in protest over Obama's fairly and squarely winning the nomination won't win either.

-You should be angriest at Hillary herself for poor management and a lack of oversight. She wasn't even aware her campaign had blown through $120,000,000 buying snowshovels when it wasn't going to snow, lavish hotels, etc.

-You should be angry at her for not managing her staff - who fight all the time.

-You should be angry at her for not being aware there was no Post SuperTuesday plan.

-You should be angty at her for her arrogance and incompetence.

Instead you point fingers at others - as though they had anything to do with her loss, when it could have so easily been different if she exersized the 'executive experience' she claims.

But, no. You'll continue your obsession with beating down the opponent who did the exact opposite and is now well in the lead, having won fairly and squarely by running a great '50 state' campaign from the top down.

Shows what kind of person you are. Looking for someone to blame but the one who's to blame the most. Her '35 years of experience' seem to be on a par with George W Bush's. Meaningless, and exactly the bad kind of experience evidently. Looks like her campaign against an unknown candidate when Rudy Giuliani dropped out wasn't won by her great skills, nor her almost uncontested reelection where they blew through $50,000,000 when $500,000 would have been plenty. She didn't know THAT money was gone, but STILL kept Solis on as her campaign manager - and THEN kept her on to run the Presidential nomination campaign. Something W would do. Keep incompetents because they're 'loyal', regardless of the fact they're subpar.

Boo Hoo Hoo

"Why should we even consider a group of people that can't even hold an election?"

A stupid comment when you consider the Republicans punished their side too for violating their rules about primaries. The only difference is that the REpublican slate of candidates was so poor that McCain won because the others smelled too bad to even consider. McCain now is the nominee of a party that hopes the Dems will be disunited because the Republicans KNOW they are disunited.

Now the GOP have managed to move up the Primaries

Actually, Corky, the GOP didn't manage to do that alone. The moving of the primary was part of an overall elections reform bill that the Democrats overwhelmingly supported. The Dems refuse to take blame for their lack of foresight:

- It was clear as early as March 2006 that Florida's presidential primary was destined to move early, but Democratic leaders in Florida and Washington were oblivious to the coming train wreck.

- When state Democratic leaders finally understood the potential repercussions, hubris prevailed. They believed Florida was too crucial to the national party to suffer any consequences for breaking the rules.

- DNC leaders were clueless about political realities in Florida. They failed to grasp how powerless the minority Democrats are in Tallahassee; the importance of a property tax plan added to the Jan. 29 ballot; and the outrage it would cause to tell rank-and-file Democrats, their memories seared by butterfly ballots and purged voter rolls, that their votes won't count.

Not only did Florida Democrats wrongly assume the national party was bluffing, they didn't see that the strongest hand belonged to those favored by the status quo - the party bosses in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina.

Steve Geller, the Democratic leader of the state Senate, is still scratching his head. "I don't think any of us thought that the DNC would be stupid enough to punish the biggest swing state in the country to make South Carolina happy."

www.sptimes.com

I owudl tell you that AU is an idiot, but thenm you already know that.

-the party bosses in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina.

The Dean/Kerry group which runs this circus are Obaminated. They figured he would do well in Nevada and SC, so gave them them early Primary.

"I don't think any of us thought that the DNC would be stupid enough to punish the biggest swing state in the country to make South Carolina happy."

That was the general opinion of most of us. We underestimated their stupidity when it was enhanced by greed to favor a particular candidate.

"would" tell you, but "then", (it's early, lol)

Danni,

YOu think you have good candidates? Hahahah!

"The Dems refuse to take blame for their lack of foresight..."

Oops:

Gov. Charlie Crist said Tuesday that he would veto any bill attempting to change Florida's presidential primary to a later date.

Both major political parties have threatened penalties against Florida and other states that hold primaries before Feb. 5. The Florida Legislature this year passed a law moving the state's primary to Jan. 29, and Crist signed it.

Jon Ausman, a Democratic National Committee member from Florida, has urged Democratic state lawmakers to stall budget-cutting measures during a special session this month unless the primary date also is pushed back.

"It doesn't have a chance," said Crist, a Republican.

.....

His idea, though, is doomed because of Republican opposition, said Senate Democratic Leader Steve Geller of Cooper City. Republicans have a 76-42 majority in the House with two more GOP seats vacant pending special elections and a 26-14 edge in the Senate.

.....

Democratic National Committee members have complained that Florida's Democratic lawmakers didn't try hard enough to delay the primary date when the Legislature passed the law earlier this year. An amendment to change it to Feb. 5 failed with Democrats conceding they didn't have the votes to pass it.

"I tried once," Geller said. "I didn't have the votes then. I don't have the votes now."

The bill then easily passed with unanimous Democratic support because the measure included a provision requiring voting machines to leave a "paper trail." That was a top priority for Democrats.

Floridians need to recognize that Crist and the Republicans in the Legislature not only caused Dems to be disenfranchised, the Republicans cut the delegates in half for their own side as punishment.
Democrats need to remind the Republican voters of how little Crist thinks voters' rights matter.
BTW, as time goes on Floridians are awakening to the horrible truth, Crist is just about as bad as Jeb. Hope you Florida Republicans love those high insurance rates and just so you know, Crist's Property TAx cuts are in court and could quite possibly, rightly be overturned because they set up two classes of people for taxation purposes which is unconstitutional.

"Floridians need to recognize that Crist and the Republicans in the Legislature not only caused Dems to be disenfranchised, the Republicans cut the delegates in half for their own side as punishment."

Thank you for pointing that out, Danni.

Yes, thanks for pointing out that Republicans only disenfranchise voters half as much as the Democrats.

Yeah! It's all Crist's fault! He is to blame for both Michigan and Florida being disenfranchised! No, Dean is not blame here and neither are Iowa and New Hampshire!

If McCain had any brains, he would come out right now and say that he wants fhe full Michigan and Florida delegation seated. That would put a lot of pressure on the Dems.

ok so let me get this straight. The Dem party tells Florida and Michigan that since they moved there primary up, they would be punished by be excluded from the PRIMARY not the Presidential election. WHy is everyone bellyaching??? The Dem party told them not to do it, they did it anyway and now what The Dem party to got back on its word?

When i think about, they prolly will go back on their word as the Dem party.

How far the dnc has fallen from "count all the votes" in 2000 and now its, "fuck florida and their millions of voters" in 2008...

Anyone who thought they were sincere in 2000 is a freaking moron...

Time to call Algore, if he's not to busy heating the planet in his CO2 spewing Gulf Stream. He knows how to challenge an election in Florida.

"If McCain had any brains, he would come out right now and say that he wants fhe full Michigan and Florida delegation seated. That would put a lot of pressure on the Dems."

shhhhh, he might hear you.

Gov. Charlie Crist said Tuesday that he would veto any bill attempting to change Florida's presidential primary to a later date.

As I said, the Dems lacked foresight. Polish up on your deflection skills, Hans. What the gov did with the bill was AFTER the dems dropped the ball. Hence the word "foresight"

oops

shhhhh, he might hear you.

That's the point. I hope he does it.

HUH? McCain's interference would give the dems cover - it would put NO pressure on the dems whatsoever - they would tell him to go bomb something and STFU.

This fiasco that the dems set themselves up for is a glorius thing to behold.

"This fiasco that the dems set themselves up for is a glorius thing to behold."

I will admit one thing, it is the best thing the Republicans have going for them because they sure don't have a record to run on, a candidate to be proud of or a plan for much of anything. But Hey, us Dems may just be dumb enough to hand the election over to them anyway. One thing for sure, Hilary Clinton is sure trying.

If McCain had any brains, he would come out right now and say that he wants the full Michigan and Florida delegation seated. That would put a lot of pressure on the Dems

No it would give the Dems a chance to shout at the enfeebled old war monger...

Get off our LAWN! ya old coot!

No pressure wotsoever, as Midiman suggested.

McCain's brains are located in his pants according to rumour.

Remember the first rule of nature.

Spud, have you seen this?

Hey, Sputz...now that your idol is headed into the tank, are you picking up Hillary's cause or just gonna turn your attention to attacking McCain? In either case, I think it's good for you to remain active. I was concerned that you might descend into such a fit of depression that you would do harm to yourself, but that was probably foolish of me. I should have known that anyone as superficial as yourself would just shrug and MoveOn. It's good that you recognize there's nothing you can do anyway, seeing that you're totally IMPOTENT in the matter.

"The Repubs interfered in the process here in Florida.."

Corky, I'm not sure how the GOP forced the Florida Dems to violate the DNC guidelines. Do you have a link to the details?

Floridians lost the election for the Dems in 2000. they deserve to be disenfranchised. If you were stupid enough to have voted for Bush in 2000 you deserve waterboarding.

Danni do not be a hypocrit, I can never remember you not having something to say about ANY situation involving a R. And whats even funnier, your party is nasty, racist and at best as bad as you say R's are. And the very best thing is that they/you have brought it on yourselves.

But Hey, us Dems may just be dumb enough to hand the election over to them anyway. One thing for sure, Hilary Clinton is sure trying.
