If my take is correct then I should imagine that the party as a whole will begin to allign with Obama and the pressure for Hillary (sorry TBK) to quit will be increasing daily.

I am wondering if in exchange for her quiting her presidential ambitions Hillary will want the VP spot. A fee months ago I wouldn't think Hillary would want to be VP, but who knows, things change.

It would be a huge mistake if she was on the ticket and in that case, it would be better is she not quit and Obama beats her in the long run without having to make deals.

Hillary stands in opposition to his entire campaign narrative. I've expressed my support for Jim Webb many times. He's got the military bonafides and his son has served in Iraq. He's a perfect counter to John McCain, and he articulates the difference of opinion that an infantryman like Webb has versus a flyboy like McCain.

It really would be fantastic if Obama could pick a woman though. But Hillary isn't the one.

I can't believe it either, because none of the candidates other than Nader want *any* reduction in defense spending.

Dean and Pelosi have the responsibility to settle this.

I know there won't be a significant reduction in Defense spending. I just wish there would be the courage to consider such a course. There is more waste there than in all other government expenditure put together and then some.

What I would like is a true post-Cold War relationship among our fellow human beings in the world. I like to think the world has learned something from the horrors of the 20th Century. Hard I know, but "progress" does happen.

Obama demonstrates a willingness to even think of that as a concept. No other candidate comes close.
