You know Chris this thread and your song brings back a wonderful memory for me (or actually two). First when I visited the Caribbean on a cruise with my parents we went on a taxi tour around (I think Greneda) around lunch time we were all a little peckish so the taxi driver pulled over, disappeared into the rain forest and came back with a bunch of bananas. Lunch was served. Second, I was visiting St. Kitts, (while my divorce was being made final in the UK), I went on a horseback tour round the rain forest and while there me and the tour guide gathered avocados and bananas, when we got back to the hotel the guide threw the bunch of bananas on the bar and said "daquaris all round". Man what a trip that was. I have loved avacados ever since but have never been able to relive that flavour of one that has literally just fallen off a tree. And a fresh banana daquari? Heaven.

As for the missionaries, I am sorry for their families however, Columbia is the kidnapping capital of the world is it not? They knew the risks.
