Jack knows that when his plumbing license was raised 1,000 dollars last year that he would have to pass that cost along to his consumers, many of whom are on fixed incomes.

Being in business now for better than 30 years Jack has never been sued and has always taken swift action to correct and or address any concerns his customer might have. Jack knows that dignity and respect are derived from hard work and going the extra step everytime.

Jack doesn't believe in get rich quick schemes and also teaches his young son and 2 daughters that if something sounds to good to be true 99.9999 percent of the time it isn't true.

Jack knows that he can't make a living off poor people but over the years he has done his share of pro bono and has also hired and trained those willing to learn and work and helped them rise above by sometimes going below.

Jack has never cheated on his wife in 28 years of marriage, has never been arrested for felony crime and has only had 2 speeding tickets throughout his 52 years of life. Outspoken feminist Germaine Greer has rounded on US presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, branding her as "cold," "bossy" and "manipulative" while questioning her credentials for the top job.

Australian-born Greer, here to promote her new book, launched into the candidate, saying she was unappealing to feminists as her political reputation was largely due to her marriage to former US president Bill Clinton.

"I don't like Hillary because she's so bossy and cold and manipulative and stuff, and I don't think having her in power is going to make any difference, basically, because she will have the same set of advisers," Greer said.

"I can't see that Hillary would appeal to feminists because, why is she there? She is there because she is Bill's wife, and it's a bit useless to pretend, 'Oh, it's because of her wonderful job as a senator,'" she told Australia's Nine Network late Monday.

"I just don't think it's true. When she had a big job in government, she blew it," said the British-based Greer, referring to Hillary Clinton's work on health issues during her husband's administration.

This took way too much time for Hillary to denounce the comments from Ferraro and Obama should say so and keep hammering Hillary on the hypocracy.

" 'In all honesty, do you think that if he were a white male, there would be a reason for the black community to get excited for a historic first?' Ferraro said. 'Am I pointing out something that doesn't exist?' ...

What Ferraro said was unfortunate and very likely untrue. Whatever his race, Obama could be the where he is now, about to win the Democratic nomination.

However, underlying Ferraro's statement is the implicit assumption that some voters are voting based on race. This can hardly be denied. But the real question is how many votes does he get from racist african americans compared to how many votes he fails to get from racist caucasians. I would guess that some exit polls would allow one to begin to address this question, but I am not an exit poll junky.

The point of this post, however, is to suggest that Obama (and his camp) now reach out to Ferraro with understanding. After all, race is (very unfortunately) an issue for some percentage of voters. If Obama were to acknowledge that, and reiterate that it should not be, it would be a very powerful message to all of the voters who are not racist. I think this latter group is much larger than the numbers of voters who would or would not vote for Obama because of race. There are now six long weeks before Pennsylvania and Obama has a real opportunity to move the debate to more interesting topics. The last thing we need is either 6 more weeks of the negativity or 6 more weeks of the same topics. (Oh, and get ready for the final three days ;-)).
