Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Barack Obama dismissed as "gamesmanship" on Monday his rival Hillary Clinton's suggestion that he become her running mate on a Democratic White House ticket headed by her. "I'm not running for vice president. I'm running for president of the United States of America" and commander-in-chief, Obama told a rally in Mississippi.

More nonsense from the HillBillies..

"Why would Obama reject a ticket for a joint, everyone knows he is a drugadict!" -- The Clintons who did not inhale.

Obama just made her look foolish with his denial:

www.drudge.com

Let's see if I get this straight.

There's a race going on. I'm trailing, in second place. I call out to the person ahead of me, the leader of the pack, "Hey, I'll take over first place if you'd like to swap and take my position in second place."

Uh huh.

Why would Hillary who states Obama has no experience want him as her right hand man?

Amidst talk about a joint Clinton-Obama ticket, all of which is coming from the Clinton campaign, at least a few bloggers and journalists have asked the question: if Clinton says Obama is unprepared to be commander in chief, how could she responsibly make him second in line for the job?

Today, on a conference call (still in progress), Howard Wolfson was asked that question and answered: "Senator Clinton would not choose any candidate who at the time of choosing has not passed the national security threshold." But, he added, there is a lot of time between now and Denver.

When asked in a follow-up question if there was something Obama could do to prepare himself to pass that threshold before the end of the summer, Wolfson answered, "No, uh ... it's not something that I'm prepared to rule out at this time."

This would be funny if Wolfson wasn't such a pathetic tool.

Hellary an embarrasment to Feminists everywhere.

Larry Mohr

Well, when her supporters are saying Obama is only still alive on the campaign trail because he is black, I wouldn't want to run with her either:

I used to respect Geraldine, but after this I am dissapointed. This ranks with, if it isn't worse, than the "monster" statement.

Of course he would. He will beat Billary!

How much longer will the Democrats put up with this horseshit? Say what you will about W, he would win a third term if he was in this race against Hillary...

Why would Obama do this? I mean he's one of us!

We were all presidents of the Harvard Law Review, weren't we?

How much longer will the Democrats put up with this horseshit? Say what you will about W, he would win a third term if he was in this race against Hillary...

Oh, now that's funny.

Upon reflection

Maybe you're right Wis. I'm sure Rove would come out of exile. And if Cheney's heart holds up....

"Say what you will about W, he would win a third term if he was in this race against Hillary...

Bwahahahahaha! Yeah, Bush and his 19% approval rating. You are a fucking comedian, Wissy.

Seriously doubt it...Hillary will lose to McCain, but W is done, even if he could pull an FDR.

Hate the GOP but President McCain is looking more and more likely.

Maybe not such a bad thing as an untried untested unproven Senator such as Obama is more likely to embolden some US Enemies.

Do I believe McCain would respond hard the answer is Yes and everyone knows is, Obama the answer is I don't know and neither does anybody.

Hence more likely if Obama were to become Pres he would feel he needed to act even tougher to prove himself which is a recipe for disaster.

I oppose the Iraq war but withdrawing without a plan gives the message that we just have to wait out the Yankee Dogs.

Yeah, Bush and his 19% approval rating.

Monte, you are thinking about Congress...Bush is "killing" them with an approval rate in the low 30's.

Yeah, Bush and his 19% approval rating.

Hey, it's 2008 nutsack. 36% in the last fair poll. And he'd have until November. You think it wouldn't be close against Hillary? (not Obamma....Hillary?)

Hey, it's 2008 nutsack.

Exactly, it's 2008. The year of $5 gas.

So much for going to war with Iraq for oil, right Ted?

"You think it wouldn't be close against Hillary? (not Obamma....Hillary?)

No.

"So much for going to war with Iraq for oil, right Ted?

Posted by wisgod at 2008-03-10 08:11 PM"

Don't be silly, Wissy. The benefit was for the oil companies and companies that serve oil companies. Those companies have made a killing.

Obama: Why should the number two candidate be offering the Veep spot to number one?

Hillary: It's too early to bring this up

Jack Cafferty? WTF? You brought it up Helldawg!

Spud is paraphrase an exchange seen earlier today during Blitzer's (The Hill Shill) "Situation Room" there.

Obama dismissed joint ticket idea?

No Shit!

Spud also dismisses the ticket as being unrealistic.

That sed, Spud could sure use a joint about now!

* DB *

^_^

Be Well.

You think it wouldn't be close against Hillary?

I think it would be closer then Monte does, but in the end I think everyone is so tired of Bush that she would win, even if that meant having 4-8 more years of Bubba's bullshit.

Tell me Monte, how did the Bush Administration pull this off with OPEC? Or did I miss something, and Georgie and Dickie were elected to the Board of Directors.

ROC, Bush is more of a moderate these days that McCain. Fucker...

I just realized, Wis, you're one of those that thought ExxonMobil was gonna share with the likes of you.

Ha!

I didn't even imply Bush had something to do with it. But I don't imagine voters are gonna be that thrilled in November if they have to stop and buy gas on their way to the polls.

Don't be a moron, Wissy. War in an oil-producing nation has the effect of reducing supplies. Less supply + same demand = higher prices.

War in an oil-producing nation leads to destruction of oil-producing equipment, which leads to repair and replacement of that equipment, which leads to profit for companies that do this kind of work.

You're really not this dense, are you?

Wis-

It has nothing to do with how conservative W is at this point, and everything to do with the fact that 67% of the people don't want him to be President anymore.

You get the last word, Wissy. I'm outta here.

You're really not this dense, are you?

Posted by mOntecOre

I'm sure as hell not going to take your word for it. Now, if you'd like to post some proof as to how much of a dent the Iraq war has put in OPEC the last 8 months, I'm all ears.

Night Monte...always a pleasure. :)

obama will lose to mccain.. an eliot spitzer type of revelation will happen to obamas camp before summers out.

I was a fan of eliot to, but getting your pencil wet with someone else while married is a no no.

you guys keep playing obama's skin flute and when you lose in the fall come to the drudge to hem and haw about how amerika is a bunch of racist and we were robbed and the elction is rigged and repubicans suck and and ..you suck andd.. whimper..scurry.. hide.

"obama will lose to mccain.. an eliot spitzer type of revelation will happen to obamas camp before summers out."

Do you do psychic predictions here every Monday night?

Given that "maverick" McBush, getting absolutely no questions about his flip-flops and Rumsfedian comments about the overwhelming success in Iraq still trails Clinton by 6 and Obama by 12, I think its fair to say that Bush couldn't get elected village idiot in Crawford.

As it is, the Association of Village Idiots has demoted Bush to Trailer Park Pultroon, Third Class.

yeah a pultroon that gets paid 400K/ year for life with full bene's .. crap

This is so funny cause in the scenario I envision the Democratic Convention gets deadlocked so they compromise on Al Gore for Prez and Obama giggles when Hillary kicks Bubba in the nuts for screwing up her chance for a 3rd term.

FF for gimme!

More disingenuous conniving from, yeah, HillBilly. Just imagine the stuff she'll think up if she gets in - shudder.

The coolset thing is, and maybe it's still too early in the US for you all to have seenm this, HillBilly is now saying it's too early to speculate!

First she was for the war, then she against it, then she was for "Change", then she was against it, then she was happy to discuss Obama as a VP, and now she's against it...

Who is John Galt? Who is Hillary Clinton? Nobody really knows. Not even Corky.

You guys are dreamin. IF you think McCain can beat Obama, I'll take a pound of the stuff you're smoking.

McCain is bush's third term. forgetaboutit!!!

Let me go out on a limb here and state catagorically that if the Dems can't win this election they have no claim on the "liberal" moniker.

McCain wins this election. Regardless of who wins the Democratic nomination, neither one of the two remaining candidates will be a solid choice for protecting our national security. Face it, a Democrat in the White House will embolden our enemies around the globe. That's why the terrorists are rooting for Obama and/or Hillary to win in November. Therefore, the only sane choice is McCain.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: We can't trust the Democrats with our national security. During his term, Bill Clinton's inactions in response to the attacks on our national interests is evidence enough.

You are such an idiot. Because a man smokes pot a couple times in college is by no means reason to call him a drug addict nor is it any reason to dismiss this brilliant man who is the first man to come along since John F Kennedy and Martin L King with the ability to inspire a nation and get them working for this country. You must be a Clinton supporter putting some negative comment out here trying to dismiss this mans brillance. He does not need Hillary and the day she losses the nomination to him she will expolode and an alien monster will come out. She is the worst candidate I have seen in my 57 years of life and has no respect for the democratic process. She is on a personal vendetta and has no morals.

If you believe Bill Clinton did not inhale you will believe "he did NOT have sex with that woman!!! I was in college with him and he did inhale......................

If Obama goes into the convention ahead of Hillary in states won, popular vote, delagate count(us John Q Public choice) and Hillary comes out with the nomination I will be totally disenchanted with the DNC and will vote for John McCain in November and so will Obama.

"Let me go out on a limb here and state catagorically that if the Dems can't win this election they have no claim on the "liberal" moniker."

That's the problem, Fresno. They aren't "liberals." They are friggin' far left socialists. The real liberals in the party have been disenfranchised by these extremists. The only liberal in the race at this point is John McCain. There are no conservatives running.

McCain is many things. A liberal.....Not even close!!!!

"I've said it before and I'll say it again: We can't trust the Democrats with our national security. During his term, Bill Clinton's inactions in response to the attacks on our national interests is evidence enough."

Disgustingly dishonest bull shit to try to minimize the blame that President Bush rightly bares for the 9-11 attack. Nine months into a presidency it is ridiculous to try to blame the predecessor for not protecting the nation, read the fucking PDBs Bush!
GEt a clue Condoleeza Rice. Listen to the warnings given by the outgoing Clinton administration.
Stop telling lies REPUBLICAN4EVER.

"McCain is many things. A liberal.....Not even close!!!!"

Well, what in hell would YOU call him? Certainly not a conservative. Those idiots you're promoting aren't liberals either. John Kennedy was a liberal. So was Mendel Rivers, Scoop Jackson, John Stennis...Sam Nunn (who SHOULD be the democrat candidate this election)
2008central.net

Compare ANY of these guys to the recent democrat candidates and you'll see none of your idols compare to these liberals.

DO you think he will offer the VP slot to Hillary or Condaleza?

If Hillary continues to make insinuations about Barack playing second fiddle Obama should do the same and do it often. You will see Hillary come unglued in short order. She spoke here in Pa yesterday and those who heard her said the fire just isn't there. I witnessed her motorcade come down here in Old Forge and all 30 of her supporters were out. Pa is a state that Obama can win judging from the comments I have been hearing.

The truth hurts, doesn't it Danni. First of all, I never mentioned 9/11, but since you did, let's bring it up. Funny how you casually dismiss the fact that Bill Clinton was offered OBL by the Sudanese government, but refused to take him. We'll never know, but 9/11 may have been prevented if Clinton was on top of national security instead of top of Monica.

As I said before, the Democrats cannot be trusted with our National Security ever again!!!

Rezn-

Obama making a counter-offer would be good political theatre, but won't happen, because Obama knows that having HillBilly on his ticket would reduce his chances of winning, given the HillBilly backlash.

I think he is doing the right thing, by acting like the frontrunner and dismissing the idea out of hand.

"As I said before, the Democrats cannot be trusted with our National Security ever again!!!"

No...we must have the Party that dropped the ball on 9-11, who brought us the Iraq disaster, and now the mother of all economic crises......if it weren't such a massive failure on so many fronts by the Republicans...I might laugh....but right now I'm a little too worried about the future thanks to their (and yours) mistakes during the past 7 years.
It'll be funny in about 100 years. For the good of America we should NEVER FORGET the disasters of the Bush administration and the rubber stamp Republican Congress. Hell, we'll be paying for them for decades.

Danni,

You're coming unglued...

Breathe deeply, and repeat after me...

AlGore is Great!

AlGore is Great!

Watch this shot. Asshole!

"We'll never know, but 9/11 may have been prevented if Clinton was on top of national security instead of top of Monica."

Actually, 9/11 might have been prevented if Clinton was on top of security instead of having to defend himself from a ridiculous attempt at impeachment.

Obama is not sharing his JOINT with no bitch ho..
