Choosing Hutchison would probably push Obama into picking Sebelius or Napolitano, neither of whom bolster his lack of military experience like some other VP options would.

As soon as McCain announced himself as a candidate, I knew that a deal of some kind had been reached between him and the neo-cons. They've never fully trusted McCain so it stands to reason the Bush crime family would want a watch dog style VP, especially one with powers parallel to the presidency, the likes of which have already been bestowed upon Dick Cheney.

While everyone was complaining about Bush being a puppet with Cheney pulling the strings, I was asking myself what the purpose of this arrangement might be.

The answer was pretty obvious. It was for the benefit of a succession of "puppet presidents" of which McCain is only the second in line.

So yes, I'm just as sure as I was two years ago that McCain has agreed to let the neo-cons continue to call the plays from behind the curtain just as they've done for the past eight years.

The neo-cons may not want to risk the election by suggesting JEB as McCain's V.P. right at this time. I think it will depend on how the war in Iraq looks as we get closer to the election. The name of Bush is pretty well synonymous with rattlesnake venom at the moment but that seems to be declining as the violence in Iraq is played down.

Whether as V.P. or some cabinet position, McCain will definitely have JEB keeping watch over the henhouse and pulling the strings attached to the PNAC agenda.

McCain should have Dick Cheney head up his VP search.

Please,PLEASE take Tim Pawlenty off our hands in Minnesota. He's a perfect fit to be part of the RNC/NRA ticket: He vetoed the a state transportation bill for highway improvements just before the Minneapolis bridge collapse. There's no question he's got the right stuff for the GOP "wide-stance" platform. You would be doing us here in Minnesota a big favor. It would be the end of his pathetic little political career and we would all be the better for it.

I don't think McCain would select Jeb Bush for VP because he then would know that his life expectancy is less than four years. When the Bush family can't get elected, can get diebold and the SC to appoint them then really there is only one way into the presidency and they would have no qualms about taking that path, McCain is just a useful annoyance to them but he isn't dumb enough to tempt them I think.

well I thought one of the other posts was the dumbest things I have read here but this is certainly in the running.

first of all, 2000 was the constitution working like the charm of a document it has for all this time and your argument is just sour grapes.(damn those grapes are longlasting, arent they?)
and its little wonder that the dems are the ones who are all about changing it as in the electoral college process...

and this comment that the right will kill obama if elected is just ramblings of someone who has a problem. and if you are worried about that, you should look at the record of the people who have disappeared or died that are linked to the clintons.
I have a long list of detailed cases if you care to see them sometime.

I think mccains choice will be a conservative governor of some state, probably a midwest to east coast state but I really dont think that my senator.....kay bailey....will accept if offered.

with all due respect, its time for your side to get their shit together on the 100 years comment because if you read the entire statement, he didnt say he was planning on the fighting going for 100 years. It was a comparison of our troops STILL IN europe and other places since the early 40's

If McCain picks Colin Powell as his running mate, there is absolutely no chance for the Dems to win. Personally, I hope he picks Mitt Romney who is a true conservative and born leader.

Why are all the libs still thinking that Iraq will doom McCain? American is winning. Heck, even super lib Angelina Jolie says things there are improving greatly.

Maybe McCain should consider a true conservative with traditional family values like Larry Craig, David Vitter, or Mark Foley for VP.

nah....I think its going to go something like this.

hillary will win a lot tomorrow but not enough and then she will unleash the lawyers and do whatever she can to get the delegates from florida and michigan even though she signed off on that deal as much as anyone. and the convention will be close but not so close as to cause any sort of major problem. and then she and bill will ride off into the sunset.....well actually no, not that.
and if she loses, which I believe she will, will she then FINNALLY divorce bill, since her aspirations might be done and finished and its a marriage of convienence for both? or is it really true love?
I think the only real sure thing is that she will lose or at least not win enough and then the lawyers will come out.
and one of the richest ironies in modern times may be in the offing....a clinton will have the SC rule on whether she is the presidential candidate or not?
