Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Sunday, March 02, 2008

The Dallas Morning News published an editorial Sunday supporting former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, despite saying he has no chance of winning the Republican presidential nomination. Though Sen. John McCain of Arizona is the presumptive nominee and "it is mathematically impossible" for Huckabee to pull ahead in delegates, Huckabee "remains our choice for the GOP nomination," the newspaper's editorial board wrote, just two days before the state's primary.

Wouldn't it be great if the Texan Republicans rushed in to rescue America from
the globalists and gave the primary win to Huckabee instead of McCain!

Is Romney coming back in? McCain is another McBush.

This is not the first time the paper has endorsed Huckabee. Last month, it called him a "a progressive conservative with a pastor's heart."

Lemme get this straight.

The anti gay, anti science, anti reproductive rights guy is a progressive according to this Dallas rag?

"Dallas Paper Sticks With Huckabee"?

Hmmm since the blog-god is always "fixing" folks headlines around these here parts Spud reckons it's time to return the favour.

"Dallas Paper Stinks With Huckabee"

There... Fixed That For Ya!

Be Well.

It's a ruse to keep all the assholes out that keep flooding down there and fucking the place up. It's not working, though.

I guess perception is everything. As an outsider it looks like Texas is 100% successful looking like zenophobic, gun obsessed Jesus freaks.

OK. Answer you own questions next time.

Yes it would.

WALT

Meant to thank you for the kind words you wrote to me last week on the userblog I put up about the military dogs and the soldiers who are their handlers and the close bonds they form. Very much appreciated. You're right, I was never in the military but come from a long time USMC tradition in my family and even spent a few years living on base in Camp Pendleton and El Toro when I was a young kid. Our family even lived a few weeks in a quonset hut until housing became available. You can hate this war yet love and respect the military guys who fight it. That's where the situation with this war so often gets blurred as many people do not seem (or want) to distinguish the difference.

Chris,

That was a great piece. Thanks for putting that one up there. No need to thank me, we need more people like you. The sad thing, in my eyes, is that too many people might think they are like you, but in fact they are anything but.

"OK. Answer you own questions next time."

Gee Goatman you are the self-described comedic genius. I tought you would have been able to spot a rhetorical question. Apologies for confusing you.

**** The anti gay, anti science, anti reproductive rights guy is a progressive according to this Dallas rag? ****

.......hey its Texas after all.......

........they're not as liberal as Kansas or South Carolina......

I like Huckabee, even though I'm not a religious man, largely because of his support for the FairTax.

However, this is all about next time. Assuming McCain lives long enough to win the election, the question is can Huckabee score a VP, or is he banking that McCain will lose and Huckabee can run on his own with a fair amount of clout with the Reps next time. I'm not sure. Something's up, though.

Then again, he could just be planning to stay in the race long enough for McCain to die of old age.

How is Romney any different from McCain?

Both think Bush is doing a swell job and both want more war.

Same shit, different suit.

Like the captain going down with the Titanic. He could just realize everyone else is ditching the sinking vessle. Oh well.
