A Dallas police officer died Friday when his motorcycle struck a pillar on the Houston Street viaduct as he was escorting Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton to a rally in Oak Cliff. At her next stop, a rally in Fort Worth, Clinton named the officer and expressed condolences to his family. She apologized to the crowd of about 1,000 people and said she could not conduct a rally.

YEAH!

Coincidentally, when an officer was killed escorting the Bush Motorcade, Bush expressed his condolences with a statement of "Now Watch this Drive"!

Hmmmmm......suspicious.

There's another one for the "Clinton Chronicles."

She apologized to the crowd of about 1,000 people and said she could not conduct a rally.

Got nothing but respect for her actions here.

No joke.

RIP to the officer killed.

Thoughts and prayers for family and friends.

Be Well.

Why does this keep happening?
(AP) A police officer in President Bush's motorcade crashed his motorcycle and died Monday (August 27, 2007), less than a year after a crash in Hawaii killed another motorcycle officer accompanying the president.

RIP Officer.

Why do we keep using motorcycle cops for these things? It's hardly protection!

Cars/SUV's would be be much better suited for escorting the president or anyone under ss protection. First, accidents like this would most likely not be fatal and if there were an attempt made on the lives of those in the motorcade, a car can do some damage where a motorcycle cop is going to become hamburg.

RIP... My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Jomama, You're not addressing the subject --- maybe blindsided by Hillary.

...Houston Street viaduct...

Had it been nearby Elm street, things might have been much worse . . .

. . . or much better for the party. The democrats could have gotten a new martyr. That's always a plus during an election

very sad.

That's a pretty fucking despicable thing to say Goatman, all things from recent past considered.

"could have gotten a new martyr. That's always a plus during an election"

YEAH!

And Ten out of Ten other Terrorists Agree with your way of thinking goat!

Now the question really is ---- why do you side with the Terrorists!

That's a pretty fucking despicable thing to say Goatman

It was a joke, just as was the first retort on this thread. Where's the admonition for that one? Or does he get a pass since he's a democrat and his joke was aimed at Bush?

I get it. I keep forgetting which blog I'm on.

Now the question really is ---- why do you side with the Terrorists!

???

One day I'll see a post from redneckville that makes sense.

on second thought, probably not since very few people live past 100

"It was a joke"
--GOATMAN

Quick, someone start up a thread entitled, "A Few Questions for Goatman."

CIA sniping has really gone downhill since 1963...

"It was a joke, just as was the first retort on this thread. Where's the admonition for that one?"

Because that is just the kind of stuff that usually comes out of Redneckville and we don't expect anything more.

Jokes generally need to have some element of humor. Sorry Goat, but that didn't and wasn't really appropriate under the circumstances.

"CIA sniping..."

What is wrong with you people?

I didn't see the one from Redneckville, equally despicable.

"Or does he get a pass since he's a democrat"

YEAH!

Except I have never, ever said im a "Democrat" fool!

And what I wrote wasn't a Joke! It was an accurate description of Bushs behavior --- minus the dumb teenager smirk of course!

Except I have never, ever said im a "Democrat" fool!

Posted by Redneckville at 2008-02-22 01:54 PM |

Since you never miss a chance to bash a republican and thier views and you praise and support all leftist causes addressed on this blog, I assumed you were a democrat. My bad.

"Jokes generally need to have some element of humor."

You would never know it from reading this site. For example, take RideOn...please!

I didn't see the one from Redneckville, equally despicable.

How about the one from takeitez at 1:19? I thought that one was funny.

Quick, someone start up a thread entitled, "A Few Questions for Goatman."

YEAH!

Cause im wanna ask if any Bush Cult Wingding "joke" is ever funny and not just mimicking what their Terrorists friends find funny!

Except I have never, ever said im a "Democrat" fool!

Posted by Redneckville at 2008-02-22 01:54 PM

I'm sorry, but no one has asked it yet, so I have to:

What kind of fool are you, then?

Punctuation is everything. (hint: comma)

Strangely odd posts from someone who was (rightfully) upset and indignant about have a deceased loved one thrown in his face, now making light of someone who is now someone else's deceased loved one.

"Punctuation is everything. (hint: comma)

Posted by goatman at 2008-02-22 02:08 PM"

Comma? Do you mean "apostrophe"?

Comma? Do you mean "apostrophe"?

No, I assumed the message he wanted to send had a comma after "Democrat".

But I could be wrong. He probably meant it in the original, uncommaed (I love it when I get to make up words) context.

Except I have never, ever said im a "Democrat" fool!

"apostrophe"

The crux of the biscuit.

Except I have never, ever said im a "Democrat" fool!

You've never admitted to being a cronic conspiracy theorists either but you are.

who gives a shit what you have said?

Strangely odd posts from someone who was (rightfully) upset and indignant about have a deceased loved one thrown in his face, now making light of someone who is now someone else's deceased loved one.

1) It was a joke about martyrs helping a cause
2) Yes, Hillary's name was invoked to promote the joke, but she's alive.
3) I was not making light of the dead officer. How did you possibly construe this? Maybe me being from Dallas and you not, you missed it. Kennedy was killed on Elm street. If the motorcade had been on Elm street, it might have been her. The retort/joke was not aimed at the officer at all. Geez

...Goat, it's real simple....fuck em' if they can't take a joke.

Until very, very recently, maybe after last night, there has been no penalty at all for those trashing a Clinton, any Clinton, at any time for any reason, with every vile remark imaginable.

Goat is just getting caught up in the backwash.

stop the f*cking whining....oh sorry, it's the WhineCork(tm)....can't be helped.

"Since you never miss a chance to bash a republican and their views"

YEAH!

Except I never, ever attacked real Republicans and their views ---- just you fake ass posers "republicans"!

I love Real Republicans, Just as I Love Real Democrats! It's just that since you Bush Cult Sons of Bitchs have infiltrated the Republican Party with you're out of control government growth and spending, you're advocating of Big Government intrusion into the private lives of Americans under the pretense of "safety" I feel it necessary to expose and root you people out and restore some balance to our system!

We are all now painfully aware of what happens when you let an extreme have to much power, (well everyone else but you Thousand Year Rule boobs that is) and its time to reject your ideas as they aren't inclusive to all Americans but exclusive to those only who agree with you!

In essence you intentionally seek to destroy what is democracy by creating a single party, my way or the highway system (i.e. fascism)!

If you had been born a bit more intelligent, you would see that when I attack Fake Plastic "conservatives" it's always encapsulated. Its encapsulated because im not attacking REAL Conservatives or Republicans (as I am one) just Fake Plastic opportunists like you, who in their vigor to defend every and all garbage from a party that has lost its way, shit all over real Conservative/Liberal Republican/Democrat and AMERICAN Principles!

And, I only attack Dumb Views --- regardless who delivers them where as you seem to Defend Dumb Views just to save face and in hopes of a legacy already lost!

"Maybe me being from Dallas and you not, you missed it."

I lived in Dallas from 1984 - 2005. I'm well aware of the details and locations related to the Kennedy assassination.

I lived in Dallas from 1984 - 2005. I'm well aware of the details and locations related to the Kennedy assassination.

Then I have to ask again how you construed that I was making light of the dead officer, when clearly (to someone who knows downtown dallas roads) it was a joke aimed at Hillary and the democrats -- especially since I actually said "democrat"? I obviously wasn't talking about the officer since his party affiliation is unknown.

"Jomama, You're not addressing the subject --- maybe blindsided by Hillary."

What subject? That cops on motorcycles routinely die in motorcades?

p.s. - blinded by Hillary? You're really not paying attention. But then, that's to be expected.

... to save face and in hopes of a legacy already lost!

You have to own something before you can lose it. I would never buy a Japanese car.

Or have the wherewithall do to same.

Another one who missed the joke *sigh*

A tragic accident...four kids left without a Dad. Mrs.Clinton did a classy thing going to the hospital and canceling the rally.
How this thread could turn political ?...well...how could it.

"maybe blindsided by Hillary."

Self retorting retort maybe?

"But then, that's to be expected."

"You're no saint. You got a free cab, you got a free room--and someone'll listen to your boring stories! Didn't you notice on the plane when you started talking, eventually I started reading the vomit bag? Didn't that give you some sort of clue, like maybe this guy is not enjoying it? Y'know, not everything is an anecdote, you have to discriminate! You choose things are funny or mildly amusing! You're a miracle! Your stories have none of that! They're not even amusing accidentally! "Honey, I'd like you to meet Del Griffith, he's got some amusing anecdotes for ya! And, oh, here's a gun so you can blow your brains out, you'll thank me for it!
I could tolerate any insurance seminar. For days, I could sit there, and listen to them go on and on with a big smile on my face! And they'd say, how can you stand it? And I'd say, because I've been with Del Griffith, I can take anything! Y'know what they'd say, they'd say, "I know what you mean, shower curtain ring guy...whoa!"
It's like going on a date with a Chatty-Kathy doll. I expect you to have a string on your chest that you pull out and have to snap back. Except I wouldn't pull it out and snap it back, you would! [imitating] Dyah dyah dyah dyah! And, you know, when you're telling these little stories, here's a good idea: have a point. It makes it makes it so much more interesting for the listener!"

I love PTA!

"Mrs.Clinton did a classy thing going to the hospital and canceling the rally."

It was very selfless, unexpected from a poltician, especially one in a tough contest for a presidential nomination.

It was very selfless, unexpected from a poltician, especially one in a tough contest for a presidential nomination.

It would seem to be on the surface, but at the risk of sounding cynical I have to wonder if it wasn't a calculated move? No politician makes a decision without calculating whether it is to his advantage or not. Perhaps the Clinton camp saw they would get more milage from the press a "kinder, gentler" Clinton would generate than to continue with the rally.

Maybe. Still, we could use more politicians coming to the conclusion that doing the right thing can be both right and politically advantageous.

100% on that, brother!

What subject? That cops on motorcycles routinely die in motorcades?

Two escorting Bush 43's motorcades.

Time CNN headlines....

Officer Dies in Clinton Motorcade

My heart goes out to the officer's family and friends and my condolences are with them.

Can't help thinking about the symbolism of this tragic death -- as it came the day after Clinton's entire campaign "died" the night before.

"It would seem to be on the surface, but at the risk of sounding cynical I have to wonder if it wasn't a calculated move?"

It was the only correct and ethical move to make, and it was particularly gracious of Ms. Clinton to make it with the race so tight in Texas. If she were as grasping as she's painted, she might well have said "Oops!" and tried to continue, with some few words expressing cheap, crocodile-teared "sorrow" at the rally. With her campaign's future on the line, she chose not to go ahead with the rally at all out of respect for someone who gave his life while working for her protection. Whatever happens in Texas, I'm proud of her. Doing the right thing happens all too rarely in our society, even with our leaders and other highly placed individuals.

That's nice, Goatjizz.

Nice reaction from a little pussy who was leaving the DR "forever" a couple of months ago.

Pussy.
