Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Thursday, February 21, 2008

Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton criticized rival Barack Obama as a big dreamer with little substance on Wednesday as she sought to slow his momentum from 10 straight victories in the race for the party's U.S. presidential nomination. "We need to dream big, but you know, dreams alone won't make anything," Clinton said while courting Hispanics at a noisy rally in this south Texas town on the Mexican border. "We've got to have solutions to the problems that face us."

That, and a big diaper,so that when everything turns to crap, you have a small chance to keep it in one spot...

"Dreams"...is this some sort of swipe at MLK?

She must have missed his 45 minute speech on Tuesday night.

Right now...after the past 7 plus years...dreams and hope don't sound all that bad.

If you vote for me, all your wildest dreams will come true.

- Pedro

This biatch is started to really get on my nerves. I couldn't stand her before she ran, then I went to real disqust and now I am moving into an active phase of mild simmering hate for her and her megalamaniac husband.

What a couple of douche-bags. she would spit in MLK eye if it was politically expedient to her.

McCain, with all his legislation done in a bi-partisan way with the likes of Kennedy, Feingold, and Lieberman, and Clinton with her work on health care with none other than Nutty Newty and her work for veterans with Lindsey "Impeach Now!" Graham, have more experience working successfully across the aisle on the national stage to accomplish non-partisan goals than Obama the Magic Bullet ever has, even in the oh so irrelevant state legislature of Illinois.

Corky even though you may dislike Obama I hope you will still vote for him. I have aLready said I will back Clinton. I think either one will benefit America.

"I have a dream to marry an obscure Southern governor and ride his tail into the White House."

"I have a dream to be the best lawyer Wal-Mart ever hired."

"I have a dream, to nationalize American health care!"

"I have a dream, to vote for a war when I think it favors me, and blame someone else when it does not."

"I have a dream, to rename a few post offices and declare it part of my 35 years' experience!"

"I have a dream to be president, and I will crush anybody who dares challenge me."

.......she should just start carrying his water now.......

Clinton/Obama '08!

16 Years is Better Than 8!(TM)

Actually, I can think of no unselfish dispute to the fact that a Clinton/Obama Dream Team ticket would not only be the most likely to win in the fall AND give the Dems the distinct possibility of 16 years in the Presidency, time enough to accomplish real change.

Vernon when you think of the Philippines what do you dream of??

"I have a dream that someday I will actually learn how to use my calculator!"

- Vern

Clinton/Obama '08!

You may see the flipped version, especially if the Superdelegates keep on jumping ship. I think Obama gained 18 and Clinton has lost 4 recently.

Heck Corky, he'd stand a much better chance with Biden as VP. That ticket needs to sell foreign policy experience. Unless you think she has more than Biden...

Barack Obama won the Democrats Abroad global primary in results announced Thursday, giving him 11 straight victories in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

The Illinois senator won the primary in which Democrats living in other countries voted by Internet, mail and in person.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has not won a nominating contest since Super Tuesday, more than two weeks ago.

More than 20,000 U.S. citizens living abroad voted in the primary, which ran from Feb. 5 to Feb. 12. Obama won about 65 percent of the vote, according to results released by the Democrats Abroad, an organization sanctioned by the national party.

Obama could stand to get 4-8 years more experience on the national stage, maybe increase his own military/defense/foreign policy credentials so that he wouldn't have to run with an ex-military person when he does run again.

Non-tax paying Americans for Obama!

Obama could stand to get 4-8 years more experience on the national stage

The voters of late do not think that is necessary. As a matter of fact the voters of late have shown they want someone with fresh ideas when it comes to foreign policy.

Anyway, what kind of debate is everyone expecting tonight? I think it is going to be another one of those mundane policy heavy debates where both the candidates are cordial to each other. Hillary will harp on the commander in chief role, and Obama will harp on the Iraq vote.

As a matter of fact the voters of late have shown they want someone with fresh ideas when it comes to foreign policy.

Exactly, specifically, to what, "fresh ideas when it comes to foreign policy", do you refer?

Other than turning the WH into a Travelodge for dictators, that is?

"Non-tax paying Americans..."

Are you trying to demonstrate that you can be wrong about absolutely everything?

No, I'll never catch up top you in that category. You win by a mile.

"No, I'll never catch up top you in that category. You win by a mile."

Oooh. Snap!

BTW - US citizens abroad do pay taxes.

Other than turning the WH into a Travelodge for dictators, that is

That is a misstatement unless of course you can provide a link to such language.

And Corky, the US taxes citizens on their worldwide income.

I would agree with Clinton i that respect, but if you want to beat Obama, you will have to office something better that is tangibly better...A position on something-medicare, economy, illegal immigration ruining our schools, prison and court system and job losses with failed international treaties

Corky even though you may dislike Obama I hope you will still vote for him. I have aLready said I will back Clinton. I think either one will benefit America.

Why? Why will either of these leaders of the democrat crime family benefit this country? Certainly, it won't be any better or worse than the republican crime family, but what do you think will be better? You had better quickly learn that the 2 oligarchical parties are the same fucking beast. I won't vote for either, but Obama is clearly better that Hillary, who is a Neocon.

-US citizens abroad do pay taxes.

Many do not. Ask Walt.

-Hillary, who is a Neocon.

Laughable. Paranoid, but laughable.

Vernon when you think of the Philippines what do you dream of??

Posted by messiah at 2008-02-21 09:50 AM | Reply

1. My extended family.
2. Blue skies, living next to the ocean, palm trees
3. A local fisherman at my door at 6 am with fresh tuna
4. Fresh mangoes and watermelon, year-round
5. A rooster outside my window, waking me up
6. the oppressive heat of midday

Why? And what does that have to do with this thread? Unless you are now a stalker.

Laughable. Paranoid, but laughable.

Actually, your support for her is laughable.. She is going to lose, so it is time for your dumb ass to pick a different loser...

OK, I'll vote for you if you wish.

GW is a Neocon. So is Dick Cheney et al and the PNAC'ers.

Maybe you are. But HRC? That's an opinion that reminds me of what opinions are like, and how everyone has one.

At least you know what PNAC is.. The fact that you think Hillary will undo this mess is cute at best...

'"We need to dream big, but you know, dreams alone won't make anything," Clinton said '

She insists a good candidate must build a solid foundation out of bullshit as well. She's got "35 years" experience at that.

I even know who Leo Strauss is, you?

I also know that HRC would end Cowboy Diplomacy, bring the troops home, and support and sign public financing for Pres elections.

and the PNAC'ers.

Like Dan Quayle?

that's right people... Dan Quayle is actually an evil mastermind who is controlling the government through PNAC... It was brilliant playing a retard for so many years... no one suspected a thing.

"Laughable. Paranoid, but laughable."

Libertarians think everyone is either a neo-con or a socialist or both in their cartoonish view of the world.

I also know that HRC would end Cowboy Diplomacy, bring the troops home, and support and sign public financing for Pres elections.

That is hilarious that you think she will bring the troops home. Not a chance.. She has already been quoted as saying 2013 for the target date. In other words, somebody else is going to have to do it.

Please enlighten the class as to where Hillary's and Guiliani's stances vastly differed. Major stuff only...

Libertarians think everyone is either a neo-con or a socialist or both in their cartoonish view of the world.

Shills like you see the world in red state or blue state. At least our world has more colors.

"At least our world has more colors."

Yeah, right. Clinton is a socialist! McCain is a socialist! Bush is a socialist! Romney is a socialist! Obama is a socialist!......

Everybody is Socialist. I sense a trend.

Yeah, right. Clinton is a socialist! McCain is a socialist! Bush is a socialist! Romney is a socialist! Obama is a socialist!......

Or maybe you are just a weirdo?

"Libertarians think everyone is either a neo-con or a socialist or both in their cartoonish view of the world."

Any private citizen who pledges loyalty to one political party has a cartoonish world view.

-That is hilarious that you think she will bring the troops home. Not a chance.. She has already been quoted as saying 2013 for the target date.

What color is the sky on the world where you and Dr Paul live?

Any private citizen who pledges loyalty to one political party has a cartoonish world view.

Couldn't agree more! Unfortunately, this is why we only have 2 parties and have an oligarchical government...

"Or maybe you are just a weirdo?"

A libertarian calling someone else a weirdo!?! That's like a neanderthal calling a modern human hairy.

What color is the sky on the world where you and Dr Paul live?

Judas, you really are retarded.. I just assumed so from the name..

www.cnn.com

And the sky is very complex and has many colors. Certainly more than just blue and red. Sometimes there is yellow, pink, orange and others.. Try opening your eyes and you might see it too..

Obama could stand to get 4-8 years more experience on the national stage -Corky

You have got it so wrong. Hillary has been, according to her, on "The National Stage" for either 35 or more acurately 16 years, and she is losing her credibility, thin as it was, day after day.

Obama is demonstrating that people are sick to death of the status quo.

The only thing Hillary is ready for on "Day One" is that she knows her way around the White House.

She talks about Obama's dreams - what she needs is a new "Dream" - something other than seeing herself in the Oval Office.

A libertarian calling someone else a weirdo!?! That's like a neanderthal calling a modern human hairy.

I can hear your mom calling.. My bad, she was calling for me..

Childish? sure, but I couldn't resist..

"Any private citizen who pledges loyalty to one political party has a cartoonish world view."

Any private citizen who pledges loyalty to any tribal entity, be it state, religion or race, has a cartoonish world view.

JS falls for the loaded question asked by the MSM of all the candidates. How.... thoroughly unsurprising..

One supposes the sky was green when Ron Paul got all of 11 percent of the vote in Texas. The "retard" vote, eh?

-sick to death of the status quo

And willing to roll the dice on someone who wouldn't know an actually new and innovative policy proposal if it bit him in the ass.

Any private citizen who pledges loyalty to any tribal entity, be it state, religion or race, has a cartoonish world view.

You are just a troll aren't you? At least it seems that way from your posts that contribute nothing and/or make no sense like this last one..

"The "retard" vote, eh?"

I like to call it the "straightjacket" vote.
fitsnews.files.wordpress.com

"You are just a troll aren't you? At least it seems that way from your posts that contribute nothing and/or make no sense like this last one.."

That makes no sense? You're not just a moron, you're a libertarian. But I repeat myself.

Obama is demonstrating that people are sick to death of the status quo.

Well, apparently not all people.. Corky and the other troll seem to really like things the way they are.. I wish we lived in a world where the sky could be 2 colors at the same time. One for them, and one for other people.

You're not just a moron, you're a libertarian. But I repeat myself.

Whatever makes you feel good. If you need to put people into little boxes of classification because you are a party shill, then hurray for you. You don't know me, you don't know my politics, and you don't know who I will vote for. Other than the fact that I hate Clinton. I certainly know a lot more about your political leanings than you do about mine..

what a waste of time all this is. John is going to win the WH. Then we will have to listen to four more years of "Neocon - Crook - Chimp" You know the useual crap we get from the pot smoking leftists.

"because you are a party shill"

I said nothing to indicate any party allegiance, dummy.

Let me guess. You're a white male with a 6 figure income who has read Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead numerous times. Right?

"Let me guess. You're a white male with a 6 figure income who has read Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead numerous times. Right?"

No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

"Any private citizen who pledges loyalty to any tribal entity, be it state, religion or race, has a cartoonish world view."

I'm not religous or racist and I try to limit my cultural prejudices as much as I can but to some extent every human being has an instinct to belong to some sort of "tribe". We are animals who evolved with pathetic physical gifts and who therefore must rely on the mutual cooperation and the loyalty of a group in order to survive. The need to connect with those around you for the purpose of mutual protection is a survival instinct.

Let me guess. You're a white male with a 6 figure income who has read Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead numerous times. Right?

Don't quit your day job because you suck at the guessing game.. Wrong on all accounts except the white male part - dipshit.

Should I guess that you are a Mexican making 4 figures who has read the Communist Manifesto? That would be stupid to make those assumptions.

The only assumptions I will make about you are what you have implied by defending a defender of Hillary Clinton over Obama. You are truly an idiot.

No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

FF for santonio..

"No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night."

FF for Satan's Rogue.

-Other than the fact that I hate Clinton.

Misogyny strikes deep,
Into your life it will creep.
It starts when you never get laid.
Step outta your shorts,
the woman laughs hysterically and takes you away.....

Yes Obama would definitely bring the troops home, um, except for the 22+ votes he has cast to keep them in Iraq....but the Obama Kool Aide will wash away that memory...

"Wrong on all accounts except the white male part - dipshit."

Seems I recall you mentioning your higher income bracket before. And I'll bet you have read those dreadful, hysterical, totalitarian novels Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead at least once.

"Dreams"...is this some sort of swipe at MLK?

Posted by taxman"

Yes, Clinton is a racist because she is running against a Halfrican-American. Why is everyone branded a racist so quickly - she is clearly talking about all talk, no substance Obama but yet you attempt to paint her as a racist. Good going.

"defending a defender of Hillary Clinton over Obama."

Defending a specific statement by a Hillary supporter is not the same as defending Hillary herself, dumbass.

I actually prefer Obama over Hillary. So much for your analytical abilities.

Isn't just freakin' hilarious how easy it is to push some poster's buttons?

Methinks he dost protest too much. To be believed that is.

Looks like Billy O' Null Set can't go five minutes without crying about the Ayn Rand bogeyman. Don't worry Null Set, hide under your bed and everything will be okay.

Seems I recall you mentioning your higher income bracket before. And I'll bet you have read those dreadful, hysterical, totalitarian novels Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead at least once.

Uh no.. You don't recall anything about me.. I have never seen your handle before and I have never read anything by Ayn Rand, although I do respect some of her premises. I certainly don't make 6 figures (although I am trying to). Your assumptions are just plain wrong. I think my assumption that you are an idiot is closer to the truth.

Jacque it has nothing to do with race - remember Hillary said it took LBJ to get the civil rights act passed. I am just wondering if she is rehashing that point because it didn't play out too well the first time. But way to automatically assume that everything is about race.

"Step outta your shorts,
the woman laughs hysterically and takes you away....."

Corky, my suggestion is you omit the word "hysterically". That works better. FF. Funny stuff.

regards,
The Artist formerly known as Bill O'Reilly

Looks like Billy O' Null Set can't go five minutes without crying about the Ayn Rand bogeyman.

Damn.. Those posts had the familiar smell of old man Reilly.. I should have known it was the bitter troll..

"Looks like Billy O' Null Set can't go five minutes without crying about the Ayn Rand bogeyman."

And here comes another losertarian. Wonder why losertarians only exist on the Internet? They don't exist in the real world. Maybe they're just software bots.

"Isn't just freakin' hilarious how easy it is to push some poster's buttons?"

No kidding. Like puppets on a string.

I actually prefer Obama over Hillary. So much for your analytical abilities.

Well yours suck even worse as my whole point was that Obama is better than Hillary which you agree with. So other than just being a complete dick, what was your point?

And here comes another losertarian.

Blah Blah Tele-blah.. Nobody cares troll...

"losertarian"

How long did it take you to come up with that one, Null Set? That's about on par with "Dumb-ocrat" or "Retardican." Maybe your grandson took over the computer, eh Null Set?

Why did the old cog change his name? Too late for a fresh start for that guy..

Ann Rand is mostly read by ignoranuses who use her words to justify their own greedy ways. When I spot one of her books o nsomeones bookshelf prominently displayed alarm bells go off in the back of me wee starchy head.

On Topic?

It's funny for me to see Bill Clinton who largely got elected bacause of a message of Hope and change decry Obama. Anybody remember the little film he played at his first convention entitled "A Town called Hope"? Clinton was roughly the same age then as Obama is now. Seeing him call Senator Obama too inexperienced is kinda funny when viewed in that light. Methinks that somewhere in the back of Bill's psyche there is a part of him that does not want Hillary to win the nom. Call it a hunch but it's undeniable that his veiled racist attacks on Obama have done real damage to Hills hopes and only worked to energise the Obama camp.

Spud to Camp Hillary:

Yer out of money.
Out of steam.
Out of momentum.
Out of touch.

Get out of the race before you embarrass yourselves any further.

Actually, wait until BHO takes yer "firewall" states and then exit gracefully.

Thanx bunches.

A lot of folks think Obama supporters think he's a god or sommat. They are worng as usual. That sed, you gotta admit he's run a
SUPER campaign.

08ama '08.

Be Well.

"my whole point was that Obama is better than Hillary which you agree with"

No. Your statement was that Hillary is a neo-con. She is a moderate liberal Democrat, not a neo-con. It's not my fault that you paint with an idiotically broad brush.

It takes a blue dress to move a nation of millions.

"Why did the old cog change his name? Too late for a fresh start for that guy.."

I reverted to my original handle, dumbbell. I posted that fact last night.

-Seeing him call Senator Obama too inexperienced is kinda funny when viewed in that light.

Perhaps if you viewed in in the light of Bubba being the longest serving Governor of a state when he was elected, 12 years I think, it wouldn't tickle you so.

Of course, it's not two terms in the Ill. Senate, one of many, but still.

-She is a moderate liberal Democrat, not a neo-con.

First Socialist Neocon, according to JS.

Whut a maroon!

www.nullifidian.net

But don't give up those Peabodys!

Some people are just so cynical. "No matter who gets elected, shit will happen, the country's doomed, nothing will get better, ever, the apocalypse is coming!"

How are we to change if we keep fooling ourselves that change is impossible? Negative Nancies.

I reverted to my original handle, dumbbell. I posted that fact last night.

Well shit Bill.. I don't spend everyday here.

Not to mention that I joined 2 years ago and have never seen that handle. Can't wait until I am your age and can get away with being a dick for no reason.

"Can't wait until I am your age and can get away with being a dick for no reason."

Sorry you think challenging your statements, such as "Hillary is a neo-con," is the same as "being a dick."

They call this the Retort for a reason.

SERIOUS QUESTION:

Why do so many here see a problem with Obama saying that he would talk to our foes?

If you don't talk, no progress can be made.

Reagan had frequent visits with Gorbachev. I know many here like to think he had something to do with the collapse of the SU, I disagree, but for arguments sake, lets say you're right. Couldn't his talking with our foes be considered a piece in the puzzle that ended the cold war?

Also, Nixon visited China and today they have favored Nation status.

So again, what is wrong with at least sitting down with our foes?

I would love a serious answer to my question w/o all the 'he said/she said' bs.

Thanks.

The NIE says there is nothing to go to war about.

BUT, why bother reading it.

So I will vote according not just with my conscience, but after having consulted my experts and staff.

I will spill the blood of the men and women of America because I didn't read the NIE and it is just a damn shame if you don't like it.

That's the CiC of tomorrow?

Sorry you think challenging your statements, such as "Hillary is a neo-con," is the same as "being a dick."

There were a lot of false assumptions along the way. That is what makes you a dick and the content of your posts makes you a troll...

And I do think that Hillary's positions are very similar to the Neo-cons. Don't care if you disagree.

Not to mention that I joined 2 years ago and have never seen that handle. Can't wait until I am your age and can get away with being a dick for no reason.

You need a reason to be a dick?

Not to mention that I joined 2 years ago and have never seen that handle. Can't wait until I am your age and can get away with being a dick for no reason.
Posted by jsprague

What is your reason now then?

Hmmm, let's see...

Dreams + shitty campaign strategy = 10 straight losses.

By god, hillary's right. Dreams alone won't make anything.

The question still remains if the Clintons have enough sleaze up their sleeves to pull this off.

I guess only Wet Dreams have the ability to make something....and Billy would know.

I wonder what JFK, or Dr. King would make of this very "telling" comment.

" I say to you today, my friends, we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I used to have a dream, but then I realized that dreams won't make anything. Even a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I had a dream that one day this nation would rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."

I had a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners would have been able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I had a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, would have been transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I had a dream that my four little children would one day have lived in a nation where they would not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I had a dream yesterday.

I had a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls would be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

I had a dream today.

So I will vote according not just with my conscience, but after having consulted my experts and staff...."

I read today she blew $13 million since Super Tuesday on consultants putting her campaign in over $7,000,000 in debt currently - NOT counting the $5 million loan she made to the campaign.
