Former President George H.W. Bush endorsed John McCain on Monday, another sign that the Republican Party is coalescing around the Arizona senator's presumptive nomination. "Few men walking among us have sacrificed so much for the cause of human freedom," Bush said.

Read my lips, we will be fighting in Iraq for 100 years.

Question for McCain....did you read Bush 1's autobiography and the part that advises against invading and occupying Iraq???? Now, if you have, then please tell what he said that didn't come true.

What about the Martian and Lunar Alien vote? Who will they go for? I hear they like McCain amnesty program.

McCain never said any such thing... its a lie.

I can hear McCain now:

"Noooooooooooo George! I want to win this fucker!

"McCain never said any such thing... its a lie."

Gee, when your guy's words are taken out of context it really upsets you, too bad you weren't so concerned with the correct context for other politicians. It sucks when we use the same type tactics that the Republicans always have doesn't it.....

BTW, shouldn't it be up to the Iraqi people whether or not we have bases in their country for 100 years????

Gee, when your guy's words are taken out of context it really upsets you

Well for starters its not out of context its an out right lie. McCain never said he wanted a presence in Iraq if we were fighting for 100 years...

He said he wouldn't mind us having a presence in Iraq if it were similar to Germany or Japan, where we have been for decades, but no soldiers are being hurt, wounded, or killed.

And also, no it doesn't upset me, actually I get very happy when I see it happen now... because I get to slam it back in the posters face and show them to either be ignorant or a liar.

Which one were you again?

"He said he wouldn't mind us having a presence in Iraq if it were similar to Germany or Japan, where we have been for decades, but no soldiers are being hurt, wounded, or killed."

If it were to be like Germany or Japan then the population would have to approve of their presence there, I don't think the Iraqi people would approve of our troops being there for 100 years, I also don't think we could keep troops there without casualties....so the entire analogy of Iraq to Germany or Japan is ridiculous. More like keeping troops in Saudi Arabia....and that didn't work out too well.

To say that the situation in Iraq could end up being like Germany or Japan, may or may not be ridiculous... the fight isn't over so neither of us know.

But the fact, is that when McCain said he would support a continued presence there, he specifically said ONLY if no troops are being hurt or killed.

So for anyone to say differently is not taking his words "out of context" they are either lying, or they've listened to what someone else has said who was lying and just repeated it without looking into it.

Just another reason why I won't vote for McCain.

"But the fact, is that when McCain said he would support a continued presence there, he specifically said ONLY if no troops are being hurt or killed."

Let me know when that happens Rob. Let's say when a month goes by and we lose zero troops. You watch and let me know, OK????
I think you will be waiting quite a while.

I want to understand something about McCain, he is not endorsed by Bush I but not yet by Bush II???
That's it right. Gee, I wonder why McCain isn't asking Dumbya for his endorsement???
Maybe he doesn't want it???

Who will you vote for then?

he specifically said ONLY if no troops are being hurt or killed.

So he'd cut and run if a soldier got a boo-boo?
What a pussy. Reaganesque.

"Who will you vote for then?" -Rob

Third party. I'm not sure which yet, but it will probably be the libertarian party.

If Obama is running, I will vote McCain--first time ever voting Republican. I trust Dubya more than I do No-Bama...

George H.W. "New World Order" Bush loves McCain and gives his endorsement.

Two globalist peas in a pod.

Kind of gives even more validation to my userthread the other day about a 2004 sweetheart deal made with the Bushes where they will back McCain in '08 for President as long as he picks Bush brother Jeb to be McCain's VP, doesn't it.

Third party. I'm not sure which yet, but it will probably be the libertarian party.

Hey, you know that is a good idea; they won't win, of course, but I dont have to support Barry or John!

Bush endorses McCain! Now McCain has a snowball's chance in Hell!

he specifically said ONLY if no troops are being hurt or killed.

So I guess you are saying that W. doesn't have that "no one gets killed" agreement in his occupation.

How in the fuck can Mcflopper guarantee that no gets killed in "his" idea of occupation of Iraq?
