It's almost as if people can barely stand the thought of President Bush and Congress anymore. Bush reached his lowest approval rating in The Associated Press-Ipsos poll on Friday as only 30 percent said they like the job he is doing, including an all-time low in his support by Republicans. Congress' approval fell to just 22 percent, equaling its poorest grade in the survey. Both marks dropped by 4 percentage points since early January.

Bbbbbbbut they are sending us some of our own money in May or June, why are we the people sooo mean?

This is bullshit. Why, last month his approval rating was 2.4%.

If the 22 percent congress would do something to derail the 30 percent president, it would be a 44 percent congress by next week. herm

Female Crotch Hair is definitely on the outs. Why can't we make him disappear?

The next election for the combined group of Bozo's will find some very surprised former reps. Too bad!

The question is: Are they unpopular because they are corrupt and incompetent? Or are they unpopular because they are not doing enough? I submit it is the latter.

How...I mean...HOW!...can nearly a third of all Americans think Bush has done a "good job"?

It boggles the mind.

Oh, wait, far more than that believe the Earth is just a few thousand years old. There must be a strong correlation between people who will believe abso-fucking-lutely anything they're fed and those who believe in the special magic of Dubya..

That's 30% more than he should have. Some people just don't get it. Those are usually the ones with the biggest mouth. And still they won't impeach.
www.impeachbush.org
If you have not signed the petition, I hope you will at the above site. They are only $7,000 short of 1 million signatures. DO IT NOW. It took about 6 months to go through the process of impeaching NIXON. We need to get on this fast.

These people are pathetic loosers. They wasted last year doing nothing. Over and over they try to stop funding the troops, knowing that they could not really make any change. Look at all the time and money they wasted. They need to be working to fix Social Security, Medicare/aid, Securing the Borders, etc. Pathetic, Pathetic, Pathetic.

HEADLINE: THE PRESIDENT'S APPROVAL RATING IS 36% HIGHER THAN THE NEWLY ELECTED DEMOCRAT CONTROLLED CONGRESS..........go figure.

Plus, better yet we have a DISGUSTED DR Lefty stating that the impeachment petition is ONLY $7000 (seven thousand dollars) short of 1 million signatures. So you DR Lefty's can now tell Vernon it's ok to now take a seat and you may now all rail on DISGUSTED for years to come about the "calculator" he/she uses.

Come November 4, like programmed morons, about half the electorate will vote for more of the same on the expectation this time will be different.

Before you wingnuts cream your tighty whitey's; Congress is evenly devided at 49 R 49 D

Just 61 percent of Republicans gave Bush positive reviews; his previous low was 65 percent last month. Only 28 percent of them expressed strong approval.

About one in 10 Democrats and three in 10 independents gave Bush positive marks

Sic transit gloria surgi.
On the bright side, Bush will be campaigning for McCain, which will provide a big boost.

For Hillary and Obama.

Sorry to break this to you Bri...but that is the Senate. The Congress has more Dems than Repubs. You know the House PLUS the Senate. But, that's an honest mistake.

Whew, glad the dictionary backed up my memory....

Dubya's rating is down? Must be time for:

A) Terrorist attack imminent
B) Ban Gay People
C) Ban Abortion
D) Rip John Kerry's service record
E) Go to Crawford and clean up the brush

" Look at all the time and money they wasted."

YEAH!

Twelve Years Late!

It should be the law that as President if your approval rating drops below 30% you commit sepuku on TV.

CNN today said Bush's approval ratings are 30%.

Why so high?

The reason the Congress is held in such contempt is because they refuse to IMPEACH this Bastard!!! The democratic Congress rating would go through the roof is they would just show the courage to Investigate this Administration from Day one, for Seven years these fuck have run roughshod over the Constitution, The Democrats should either IMPEACH this fuck NOW, or have the courage to repeal the law that seeks Impeachment, if not BUSH who, if not now WHEN!!!

The reason Congress is held in such comtempt is because they are a pathetic bunch of posers, led by the most incompetent and weakest leaders ever - Pelosi and Reid. The funny thing is that the Obama cultists want to stick this country with another weak inexperienced chump to complement the spinless DemoCongress. The unholy troika of Obama, Pelosi, and Reid will assure that this country becomes a second-tier power in the world. But he does make some good speeches occasionally, so I guess that's all we need.

On the train last night, the talk turned to what Bush has done to this country.

It was a lynch mob waiting to happen. The whole west end of the train car. Execs, workers, lawyers, etc., etc. Really upset. Indignant.

This country seems to be really, really done with everything Bush. Sorry 'bout that. But it was earned. We can't have a society that's so frustrated and angry. Not good for the country. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Drop the extreme ideology and naked greed, GOP. Please.

If Bush and company is what you call "experienced" I will take inexperience anyday.

The question is: Are they unpopular because they are corrupt and incompetent? Or are they unpopular because they are not doing enough? I submit it is the latter.

I'm going with the corrupt theory.

For those of you who keep score. I consider one party to rule America when it controls at least two branches of government, so lets go to the score cards.

Fifty years of Democrats ruling America = We become a military and economic superpower the size the world has never seen. We are the envy of the world. We won WWII but made serious mistakes in Veitnam. We went to the moon.

Eight years of Republicans ruling America = We destroy our economy, prestige, and our currency is so devalued that New Yorkans are scrambling to get Euros.

what do we have to do to get Bush's approval rating down to zero?

Move to Canada or France like you promised. No Bush there equals zero rating in your sphere of Whine Country.

Those STILL approving Bush would probably approve Hitler and Charlie Manson. Yes, I'm disappointed in Pelosi and Reid, but they no doubt think they're being "moderate" - you know, the Barack Obama Big Tent mystique. MY tent is not big enough for clowns of the Bush-Murdoch-Coulter-Limbaugh stripe. MY sense is to pluck them out like an offending eyeball. Pelosi and Reid have laid down with dogs and now feel the itch. But they're probably very nice people and we'll see what they do with a Democratic White House and vetoproof congressional majority. herm

If Ermy's scenario comes to pass, God bless all of us who do work and pay taxes, then hold on to your wallet as the 50% of the people in the US who aren't paying them will all be lining up to take a hell of a lot more from those left over who are.

Congress hasn't hit a new low.

It's the Ass kissing Bush Republicans in Congress who keep filibustering and voting down Democrat sponsored Bills aimed at getting us out of Iraq and legislation consistent with the "2006" midterm elections reflecting "The Will of the People" that are driving Congress's numbers to new lows.

Democrats only control 51 seats and it takes 60 votes to pass new Legislation but that will all change this November.

Then all the Republicans who get voted out of office can go live with their beloved George W. Bush in Uruguay and live happily ever after.

herm USATrueandBlue7 I agree with your posts and add that, if you check the polls, every time the Repugs block the will of the majority of the American people the ratings for Congress and Dubya go down.

Thank God for Herm!! And to think, a Bush thread went almost 18 hours without a Hitler reference!

What the hell is the matter with you people? Is everyone on vacation? Good thing Herm slipped in Charlie Manson, to make up for lost time.

* * * *

Maybe it will. But one thing that won't change in November is that you'll still be a bunch of retards. If the Republicans can flex their minority muscles and thrwart Democratic legislation, why can't the Dems do the same? Why can't the Dems refuse to pass Iraq funding bills? Why can't the Dems refuse to fund the Justice Department unless the Patriot Act is repealed? Why can't the Dems insist that Guantanamo Bay close, else the Defense Department doesn't get funded?

I thought those were things your people cared about. In fact, you were played for a bunch of suckers, and you want to keep blaming the righties for it.

It's likely you'll get your president and your veto-proof majority in the Congress in a few months. I wonder what your excuses will be then.

Thank God for Herm!! And to think, a Bush thread went almost 18 hours without a Hitler reference!

And just think, you're here representing one of the 30% protecting and defending the Nazi.

It clearly shows who is on the rational side of the house.

"Defending the Nazi"!!!

Moneywar, right on cue. Godwin's Law still hasn't been repealed, I see.

Let's see.... Gas is at $2.90 a gallon. The housing mortgage meltdown is wreaking havoc throughout middle class America. Bush in short eight years has transmogrified budget surpluses to record budget deficits in the trillions. And well paying factory jobs have been flowing out of this country at an ever increasing rate. On the other hand, the fat cats on Wall Street have made a lot of money. Only a fool, an asshole, or a self centered wealthy person could think well of Bush and his economy.

And just think, you're here representing one of the 30% protecting and defending the Nazi.

It clearly shows who is on the rational side of the house.

C'mon now. Let's be fair. Bush is NOT a Nazi, nor is his grandfather. He just did business with them.

Bush is not a Nazi!?!?!?!? Can we devote a whole thread to that? herm

You have to realize that the 'Nazis' were a political party. I don't remember seeing Bush wearing a swastika on his bicep.

Just like someone here in America who might be a hardcore right-winger may not be a republican, same for the extremely left-leaning people not being a democrat.

Just because someones views align closer to one party than the other, does not mean that the person is a party member.

Vote all the bastards out of office & start over! Please don't impeach W, we would then have Chaney as top asshole for a few months.
It's a shame that all we get to vote for are the ones who have sold out to whatever special interest group that gives the most $$$$$ to their campain. (public financed elections anyone?)
I don't agree with much of what Obama-lama says, but maybe it's time to give someone like him a chance. He can't be much worse & if he is, vote him out in four years.
It's time for all the politicians to listen to average working Americans and do the job we elect them to do or get in the unemployment line with the rest of us.
