Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and Barack Obama of Illinois shared the big early Super Tuesday prizes in the Democratic presidential contest, NBC News projected Tuesday night, both winning their delegate-rich home states. Clinton racked up important wins in big Northeastern states, while Obama was doing well in the rest of the country, notably the Deep South.

Wow Tight Race. But given what the numbers looked like two weeks ago Obama had a great night. Obama still has momentum and can win the nomination!

Look at the demographics of these states. These are all good states for Obama, exceopt maybe for Texas. Give Obama more time to work the ground game and his grass root movement to carry the race. Super Tuesday was Hillary's best chance to end this race.

* Delegates After DNC Penalty C Closed Primary

Gotta say the calendar looks mighty friendly to Obama for the next month:

9-Feb-Louisiana primary? (Not a blowout, but probably Obama)

9-Feb-Nebraska caucus? (Obama. Consider KS)

9-Feb-Washington caucus
Hard to say. Caucuses seem to favor Obama. Lots of overeducated Gen Xers does, too.

9-Feb-Virgin Islands primary. No clue

10-Feb-Maine caucus. Independent streak but northeastern. Hard to say.

10-Feb-District of Columbia primary
12-Feb-Maryland primary
12-Feb-Virginia primary

Obama gets DC. The other two? Even splits?

19-Feb-Wisconsin primary

Between Chicago and Madison? Obama by several.

26-Feb-Hawaii primary - Obama by a bunch.

So it will certainly go through Feb.

Beyond Feb? Ohio is Clinton's last "firewall". With the way the "Red States" have gone for Obama, he's going to make a serious effort in Texas, even if he is having trouble among Latino voters. He has the money work it.

Oh, and my caucus tonight? 1822 Obama 385 Clinton. On the first go-round, she was within 30 of being declared 'unviable'. Amazing atmosphere.

Strap on that Jammy Hat!

Well, thank God NASCAR'S Budweiser Shootout is a night race.

Hillary Clinton goes to a primary school in New York to talk about the world. After her talk she offers a question time.

One little boy puts up his hand. The Senator asks him what his name is.

"Kenneth."

"And what is your question, Kenneth?"

"I have three questions: "First - whatever happened to the medical health care plan you were paid to develop during your husband's eight years in the office as President? "Second - why would you run for President after your husband shamed the office? "Third - whatever happened to all those things you took when you left the White House?"

Just then the bell rings for recess. Hillary Clinton informs the kids that they will continue after recess.

When they resume, Hillary says, "Okay, where were we? Oh, that's right, question time.

Who has a question?"

A different little boy puts his hand up. Hillary points him out and asks him what his name is.

"Larry."

"And what is your question, Larry?"

"I have five questions: "First - whatever happened to the medical health care plan you were paid to develop during your husband's eight years in the office as President? "Second - why would you run for President after your husband shamed the office? "Third - whatever happened to all those things you took when you left the White House? "Fourth - why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes early? "Fifth - Where's Kenneth?"

the obama slant is apparent here..The fix is in dumbasses. Billary for the win.

Why is it when the news says Hillary's name they use Hillary Rodham Clinton but when they say Barack's name they don't say Barack Hussein Obama? Are the news people affraid it will offend someone? I think we should call a spade a spade

Rons,

How ignorant can you be, Hillary is the one who requested her name be rodham clinton. Go figure!!

Once again, Obama assures a Dem loss in November. He can not deliver any 'purple' states and only seems to get mass support where there are a lot of black voters (80% vote based on skin color apparently) or large turnout of under 30's. Too bad that this strategy likely won't even deliver the Dem nomination much less a presidency. If Crazy Mac gets the Repub nod, it is over. Crazy will take away traditional blue states and the true red states will NEVER vote for a black man or woman. Thanks for the incompetent candidates again Dems, no one can pick losers quite like you!

But keep on dreamin' that dream guys..you know what they say about the agents of change.. shit in one hand and dream of change with the other and see which one fills up first..

Apparently you haven't paid attention to the demographics that are voting for Obama. The surprise is that he is pulling in a good chunk of white male independents.

It's not a surpise to me, because I am one of those and I voted for him. As a voice of such let me say that I would vote for a bowl of warm spit before I would vote for Billary.

"The surprise is that he is pulling in a good chunk of white male independents."

I am a white male registered independent who typically takes a Repub ballot, but who voted yesterday for Obama, but only as a vote against Clinton. White male independents may have voted for Obama yesterday, but maybe not all for the reasons you think.

"White male independents may have voted for Obama yesterday, but maybe not all for the reasons you think."

If I'm an Obama strategist, I'm happy to take my chances against McCain who'll have half the base staying home unless he gives a guy like Huckabee the VP nod and essentially concedes the blue states (his bread and butter in these primaries).

Thanks for the incompetent candidates again Dems, no one can pick losers quite like you!

That's OK I will take that snide comment and match you with one.

No one can vote for a loser quite like a republican

"No one can vote for a loser quite like a republican"

Well, I am no Republican. Up until this election, I have voted Dem in every presidential election. This year, I refuse to choose between a giant douche and a turd sandwich. Have fun with your 'winner'.....

I'll have the turd sandwich with a giant douche to drink, hold the mayo.

"I'll have the turd sandwich with a giant douche to drink, hold the mayo."

I think that accurately describes the Kerry/Edwards ticket last year (that I had to vote for....). Who was the Dem big-brain who thought that one up? That thought John Kerry would have the personality/charisma to carry the party after that was the chief knock on Gore? And speaking of 2000, who was the dumbass that put Lieberman on the ticket? Was someone trying to sow up the northeast jewish vote? I mean, put someone on the tickets that might actually pull votes that you might not get otherwise. With Obama, you have a guy that wins because he pulls in 80%+ of the black vote - great in a primary but the dems get 90%+ of the black vote in EVERY FRICKEN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION ALREADY. No wonder Rove runs circles around the Dem 'strategists'. Put down the bong, break up the hippie drum circle and find a fricken candidate that I don't have to be ashamed to vote for!

Time for a third party candidate to emerge --

Before it's too late --

LOU DOBBS FOR PRESIDENT 2008!
