Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Nearly 45 years after the man's tragic death, the liberal establishment remains enthralled to the cargo cult that is the John F. Kennedy myth. And it is a myth... Kennedy ran to Nixon's right on foreign policy in 1960. Mere hours before he died, Kennedy was boasting to the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce that he had increased defense spending on a massive scale, including a 600 percent increase on counterinsurgency special forces in South Vietnam. The previous March, Kennedy had asked Congress to spend 50 cents of every federal dollar on defense.

And it is a myth. Start with the "Camelot" label. It's worth remembering that nobody used that word to describe JFK's presidency when he was alive.

So "Camelot" was just a post-mortem construct of the Left, how utterly unsurprising.

Like bowa, Jonah Goldberg is an idiot.

And what's more, nobody gives a shit.

And what's more, nobody gives a shit.

Except you of course. thanks for responding.

LOL

I have always found it strange that Liberals would embrace JFK when he was so obviously not a "liberal" by today's standards. But nobody ever got poor by underestimating the delusions of the American Left.

Lee Oswald was a "dedicated Marxist"? Well, maybe. But the better description of him was mentally disordered, and that explains why he ran around shooting people more elegantly.

This very day, person who purport to be of your own Party would like to describe John McCain as a Marxist, if they weren't already labeling him as mentally disordered, or maybe the Anti-Christ.

But, at least, no one seems concerned about his illegitimate Black baby any more. You people are just weird.

"Except you of course. thanks for responding."

Just because I enjoy pointing out your laughable idiocy, doesn't mean I give a flying rat's ass about your moronic posts...but if it makes you feel better....

Jonah is nothing but a Third-Tier pundit.

And barely that, as well.

Hans

Caroline Kennedy Harbors a Daughter's Hope by Connie Schultz

Pretty much puts to rest the bullsh*t peddled by Jonah, the Third-Tier pundit.

LOL

If Goldberg is a 3rd tier pundit, then "Connie Schultz" whoever the hell that is... is a tenth tier pundit. Oh that's right, she's married to a democratic senator -- guess we know which side her "bullsh*t" is buttered on.

Take more time off.

Wow, Hans -- posting that some 99th tier pundit nobody (i'm being generous) "Justin Raimondo" of irrelevant anti-war.com calls Goldberg a "bottom feeder"....seems like a lame deflection even lamer then usual.

Kennedy's biggest crimes?:>)

Who Killed JFK?

May 28, 2003 - 19:02

Shortly before President John F. Kennedy was murdered in Dallas, Texas, he made certain statements, any one of which would align powerful antagonistic forces against him:
1) He would eliminate the CIA,

2) He would issue Treasury greenbacks (which don't pay interest) in lieu of financing government deficits through the Federal Reserve, and

3) He spoke against empowering the state of Israel with nuclear capability.

Hans, there is something disturbingly narcissistic about linking to the comments of others on your own blog to make your lame deflections.

To call you a passive aggressive personality is an understatement.

From your photo, you actually seem like a nice personable guy...but then again you can't tell a book by it's cover

You're right: HTTP 404 Not Found

Hans

"linking to the comments of others on your own blog"

Actually, those are threads, not "comments of others." You know, like when someone posts a thread here on the Drudge about some
Third-Tier pundit.

There's an efficiency of words doing it that way.

Sort of like when I call someone here, say, a pants-pisser.

No need wasting space and bandwidth here when I've already completely defined it elsewhere and can easily link to it.

That gives others the choice whether to read it or not.

The Necessary Embrace of Conspiracy

"I think we're confronted with two conspiracies here: one to commit the crime, the other to ignore it even when the facts are known. ( Two sides of the same coin.) The man who accused me of slipping into the neurotic, aliens-are-among-us land of conspiracy nuts was unable to hear the evidence, perhaps because he was so utterly convinced by our government and media that conspiracies don't exist, people who espouse them are dangerous fruitcakes, and if you begin to think like that, your whole house of cards wobbles then topples. Who wants that? Better a standing tower of marked cards, than having to admit the game is rigged and the ground is shaking.
America is steeped in conspiracy, and even more steeped in propaganda that discredits those who try to expose the conspiracies. Whether we're talking about MLK, Jr., JFK, RFK, Iran-Contra, 9/11, or, most importantly, the status quo, anyone who works to uncover the truth is branded a "conspiracy nut" and discredited before any evidence has a fair hearing. The government/corporate/media version is THE VERSION. Anything else is illusory."

Also Golda Meir was no Golda Meir...except to her fellow Zionists that is!

The Conservative Right is always trying to define people. They have made out there opponents to be demons, Since Nixon the Right have used this to win elections an to some extent they have been successful.

Both Nixon, and Reagan wouldn't know this form of Conservatism, even Concervatives today are starting to see the damage the Neo-Cons that represent Bush and his storm troopers have done to there Party.

The Kennedys, the old ones and those that serve today are for the most part honerable people who served for the public good, for the poor and the dis-enfranchised, so take your criticism an go fuck yourself. Ronald Reagan was a useless old fool!!!!!!

Concervatives today are starting to see the damage the Neo-Cons that represent Bush and his storm troopers have done to there Party.

I agree.

The Kennedys, the old ones and those that serve today are for the most part honerable people who served for the public good, for the poor and the dis-enfranchised,

you are high.

Oh, and when you use it in a posessive form, it is spelled "their".

Jaqueline & John provided a way for this country to be loved (in the context of the cold war). Almost every other country and leader loved us, including Kruschev, who considered him a force for peace, even as they came closer to nuclear inhilation than any other pair in history. Kruschev thought this because Kennedy was tough, consistent while always leaving his enemy a choice.

Bush on the other hand ignored offers from the Taliban to surrender binLaden and Hussein to leave Iraq because he came into office with plans to invade Iraq and also wanted to steal Argentina's Afghan pipeline.

KENNEDY-man of the world

BUSH-boy emperor of the shrub

Getting assassinated in public gets you an automatic gold-plated legacy. Kind of like getting an A if your college roommate commits suicide.

Are you listening, Karl and Dick? Don't tell me you haven't considered it.

This reeks of "right wing" tit for tat i.e. Reagan was no Reagan.

When it appears right after each other the latter has no credibility.

"And it is a myth. Start with the "Camelot" label. It's worth remembering that nobody used that word to describe JFK's presidency when he was alive."

YEAH!

Brought to you by the "Bush is like Abraham Lincoln" gang!

The Irony of the WingDings continue!

Kennedy believed in cutting taxes and a strong military. He also believed in taking good looking women to bed, not ugly ones that didn't want to.

I guess that makes him the ideal of the libs. Go figure.

Isn't Jonah-poo a little old for "I know you are but what am I?" But after Kinsley put St. Ronnie's legacy so succinctly into perspective, Karl's winged monkey brigade had to come up with something lest their beloved memories of the dotty old fud be besmirched.

I suggest Rush take Lucianne's little rug rat along on his next naughty jaunt to the Dominican Republic and show him how a couple bottles of purloined Viagra can really complement some deliciously forbidden bombershay.

"I guess that makes him the ideal of the libs. Go figure."

I guess that makes them the ideal of the cons. Go figure.

Your turn.

;-)

http://100777.com, anyone ow believes this crap needs help.

Today Kennedy would be a republican.

I think the press has latched on to the Camelot hype because of Obama's ability to talk with up lifting hope and inspiration like JFK.... a fair comparison. Nothing wrong with that.

Article"Sorensen himself admitted in a 1983 Newsweek interview that JFK "never identified himself as a liberal; it was only after his death that they began to claim him as one of theirs." He went on to say that "on fiscal matters (JFK) was more conservative than any president we've had since." "

RET...retired and lovin it?...is right...JFK would not be able to identify with the dems of today.

RET...retired and lovin it?...is right...JFK would not be able to identify with the dems of today. kerrin57

And Reagan would not be able to identify with the Repugs of today, so what, parties change.

Bowa and his new favorite author, Jonah, son of ultra-bitch and crooked cheat Lucienne. (see Wikopedia if you disagree)

It is of little importance what JFK was actually like, or what he actually accomplished.

JFK is a symbol of Hope, which people desperately seek, and they see it in Obama. Understandably, because he MEANS IT.

Hillary is this weekend all over the place trying to lift his ideas all over again. She doesn't MEAN IT.
