FEBRUARY 1--Mississippi legislators this week introduced a bill that would make it illegal for state-licensed restaurants to serve obese patrons. Bill No. 282, a copy of which you'll find below, is the brainchild of three members of the state's House of Representatives, Republicans W. T. Mayhall, Jr. and John Read, and Democrat Bobby Shows.

we must get the underlings prepared for socialized medicine - what better way?

because people cannot be relied upon to do what's right for themselves - they need a nanny. not just any nanny - a staterun nanny!

oh yippy.

next thing you know, the fatties will be paying the skinnies to cop them some grub - it could turn into a scalping business.

fatty: "here's twenty bucks - get me whatever they have that can be supersized!

skinny: "sorry, but you're gonna have to tack on another twenty for that."

That would shut down most of the casino restaurants on the Gulf Coast. People in those places are enormous.

there goes the buffet...

What's next, not serving coffee to Scientologists?

Lets think about this one for as long as needed. Wooops took to long.

This will last about .00005 seconds in court. That is if it makes it that far.

Laws about "personal" decisions? It is to laugh.

Yay for the small government crowd!

Don't fool yourself. The republicans who call themselves conservatives today are not into small government.

They, like every other red blooded, patriotic, flag-waving American want their handout. What can Uncle Sam give me today? is the only question they're interested in the answer to.

My brother, who used to taunt me about being a "liberal" is now to (what used to be called) the far left of me when it comes to fiscal responsibility in our government, yet he still calls himself a conservative.

To be honest, I don't like paying taxes or having them raised...not because I don't think I shouldn't pay my fair share. Instead it's because I know that the politicians will only spend the money on $6000 hammers.

you are as full of shiite as a christmas goose - i know of NO republican who is desirous of big government.

aamof - we'd like to see government at last take a back seat to the people - as it was meant to be!

get a new game.

Really?

No Republican?

Is George W Bush a Republican? What about Dick Cheney and the rest of the administration? All Republicans and all have increased the size of government since being put into office 8 years ago.

And they like it that way.

"We" being the operative word. "They" on the other hand, do not share your views.

You are a fool.

"i know of NO republican who is desirous of big government."

You're joking, right?

Bush increased domestic discretionary spending more than Clinton ever dreamed. The three biggest spenders of all time---in order---are Republicans, Republicans, and Republicans.

i should have said "personally" know.

did any'y'all catch my post on her highnasty's latest regarding health insurance?

lockstep.

think lockstep if this excuse for a human is elected.

you'll be paying one way or another.
