Every attempt by the Terriorist to do damage since 9/11 has been stopped by POLICE action. Clearly Mr. Kerry was right during the election of 2004 when he said exactly that. No Army no matter what size could have done what the Spanish, or the English have done in the past couple of years to stop terror.

This Administration will have to answer to History for there failed attempt to stop Terror by going to War with a Country that nothing to do with 9/11. Even though this administration did everything to blame Iraq for 9/11. I for one am against the death penality but I would make an exception for Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney I would like to see both of them end up just like Saddam, hang by the neck till they are DEAD!!!!!!

They do not want to acknowledge this unpopular idea of a war nntil someone they know is killed in a mall bombing, etc., - then they will demand that something be done and at the same time question: How can this be???.

Bombing Spain is about recapturing what they consider to be theirs - "Al Andalus" or Moslem Spain.

The fact that Spain appeased them and withdrew from Iraq only makes the Islamists believe Spain is weak. Israel withdrew from Gaza to appease the international community and the results are 6700 rockets flying into the Israeli cities of Sderot and Ashkelon ever since. The Muslims convinced themselves they had succeeded in driving the Jews out and the results is there for all to see.

According to Islam, all lands governed by Muslims must always be governed by Muslims. Since Israel was once governed by the Turks, Islamists consider it theirs regardless of the facts that the Jews predate them by thousands of years.

No problem as the Islamists simply change history and the Left wanting so badly to endear themselves to this scum, happily goes along defending and explaining anything their new found friends claim.

The Muslims also believe Spain is theirs as is other parts of Europe. Just go back and take a look at what made up the Ottomadn Empire and you will see what the Islamists have their eyes on.

The Democrat Party's problem is their far left not only doesn't believe there's a threat but some believe 9/11 was Israel doing and so the Dems will try and duck the issue while clearly the Republicans will run on it as you see McCain doing. If the Dems are smart they will tell the JeffinDenmark types to get lost, but my guess is they won't and the GOP will win the White House as a result. Most Americans know where the threat is from.

As for Iraq, no doubt Bush wanting to fix his father's legacy decided to use 9/11 as the excuse to take out Saddam which was a huge mistake since Iraq had nothing to do with the attacks, however once the coalition was there, we had no choice but to stay and deal with all the "foreign fighters" ie Jihadis, who came in specifically to kill Infidels and drive us out so they could use it as yet more recruiting material. We had no choice but to stay and fight them no matter what anyone thinks.

I've followed the Israel Arab story for 30 years and after awhile you get to understand the mindset. Withdrawing is perceived as weakness and that merely encourages them to come at you more. Truth be told you need to obliterate them as they would you in a heartbeat.
To do less and try to drive them to compromise or negotiate just prolongs any conflict. IMHO of course.
