Why would a city give back $10 million tax dollars from Congress earmarked for traffic needs? This mystery stretches all the way from the Alaskan tundra to the warm beaches of South Florida.

There was a "reception" in his honor at the Coconut Point Hyatt where guests had to pay to get in. Young netted more than $40,000. Among the contributors: A friend and developer.

This developer owns 4,000 acres of prime property where the Coconut Road interchange would be

That pretty much tells me everything I need to know right there.

Yep

How long does it take the FBI to investigate this guy? Mr. Bridge and now Road to nowhere.

Another fiscally responsible Republican.

If we're going to have an investigation, let's start at the top.

Sen. Robert Byrd of West Virginia was the first senator to rack up a total of $1 billion in earmarks for his home state. That was in 1999. Today he's past the $3 billion mark.

"Yeah man, you're lookin' at Big Daddy. Big Daddy!" Byrd's exact quote about him bringing home the bacon. (Way to go Byrd KKK supporters)

Mother FUCK pork!!!

Are you looking for an argument about whether or not Byrd should also be investigated? Or is this merely a deflection from the wrong-doing of the guy in Alaska? Is it somehow okay for the R from Alaska to pay his buddies under the table just because Byrd had 3B in earmarks?

The Righty mantra! If a Dem did it, it's okay for a Rebuplican! Two wrongs DO make a right!

Rebuplican=Republican

All supported by the GOPper majority in Congress!

And, for those as geographically as challenged as dedman or writeoff, Florida isn't a part of Alaska.

Or is this merely a deflection....

What you call a deflection, I call pointing out the hypocrisy of liberals.

"What you call a deflection, I call pointing out the hypocrisy of liberals."

There are those of us who disagree with both. Do you have anything of substance to say to us?

See the problem with your statement is that you need some evidence that said "liberals" are happy with Byrd "bringing home the bacon" while being angry about this.

That would be hypocrisy.

Since this thread wasn't about Byrd, there would be no need for the liberals to bring him up, all they would need to do is wait for one of the dozens of so-called conservatives on this site to show up and denounce Byrd while not mentioning a thing about this guy.

That, also, is hypocrisy.

Not to be picky, but we could have built the $398 million "Bridge to Nowhere" with the amount of money spent in a day an a half in Iraq.

We could have built 1,225 such bridges with the amount of money spent so far on the war.
