"Obama has negative numbers? Somebody tell Chris Matthews, who's fawning over Mr. Obama has reached "get a room" levels.

Obama's negatives are up to 51%, even after the pass he's been given by the press.

Clinton is at 50%, but that's after 15 years of scrutiny and the worst coverage of the primary season.

Edwards, who has been virtually ignored by the press for months, has the lowest negatives of the top three Dems:

McCain Favorable: 53 Unfavorable: 27
Edwards Favorable: 49 Unfavorable: 42
Clinton Favorable: 48 Unfavorable: 50
Obama Favorable: 43 Unfavorable: 51
Thompson Favorable: 42 Favorable: 42
Giuliani Favorable: 40 Unfavorable: 55
Huckabee Favorable: 40 Unfavorable: 47
Romney Favorable: 38 Unfavorable: 51"

Surveys of 800 Likely Voters
December 26-27 & December 28-29, 2007

How many people are in the US?

They surveyed 800 likely voters out of how many likely voters?

Margin of error +/- 99%

Ah, another one who can't quite grasp that there is actual science (shudder) behind polling. But just for you Petrous, well ask them if they could just call EVERYBODY next time.

The statistical margin of error for a sample size of 800 is ~3.5%.

1/sqrt(800)=0.035355339

Now whether or not it was demographically representative is another issue.

Those "pig farmers" don't care about polls Cork.

So much for the inevitable Obama positives, eh?

If his negatives are statistically the same as Clinton's now, what would they be like with 9 mos as fresh new Swiftboating meat?

Corky - I don't dispute the results of the poll you posted, although most other polls don't agree. However I think your premise that only Obama would suffer from GOP swiftboating because we already know Clinton's baggage is completely false.

My point is that as far as electibility goes, the supposed Obama advantage is negligible at best.

CORKY

Why is it that Obama is the candidate the GOP fears the most? Because he's 'unelectable'. I doubt it.

Corky, just give it a rest already.

Who says Obama is the candiates the GOP fears most?

The GOP, lol?

Not all by any means, but at least some of the non-Dems who caucus tonight in the Dem primary will be GOP'ers trying to pick their opponent in the general.

In a little fewer than 4,500 people, Obama will reach 1/2 million individual contributors. At approximately the same time Thompson will finally hit double digits in individual contributors, and Rudy will reach his magic goal number of 911 individual contributors.

-Corky, just give it a rest already

Twoofy hurts, eh?

Corky: I have nothing at all against Hillary Clinton. But the prospect of you wringing your hands in agony and making lame excuses if she comes in third place today gives me some pleasure. Maybe if you were less dogmatic and contentious in your eagerness to defend her it would make it easier for you to accurately analyze the difficulties her campaign is encountering.

The poll margin of error is greatly affected by other conditions that are never taken into consideration.

Therefore, margin of error +/- 99% is quite possible with this poll.

This poll asked who you thought should have a sex-change. I thought the percentages were quite funny.

Psychological projection on blogs is an interesting phenomena, but if you really wish to see someone "wringing their hands in agony and making excuses", I suggest you look around for a mirror next time you give yourself "pleasure".

Maybe if you removed yourself from the fencepost from where you sit, you wouldn't have to wonder so much about how you got there.

fencepost where you sit

one "from" too many

Clinton even exaggerated in the past week by saying she had come a long way considering she started out in single digits in Iowa polls, even though no public surveys ever had her below the teens.

Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them.

Franken should have had a chapter on Clinton.

"Phenomena" is the plural form of "phenomenon." I believe the latter is the correct usage for your above statement.

Interesting poll results. So it is possible we could end up with President John McCain and SleepyVP(TM)Fred Thompson.

It may be the case that some of Obama's high negatives can now be attributed to the Lefty net blogs disappointment in his Tighty antics....

As long as Corky continues to bash Obama we can all rest assured that the Clinton Campaign is scared to death of him.

Be Well.

Ah, my 'lil buddy Tater fries up some ad hominem. How nice. Got ketchup?

So much easier than retorting the substance of the article(s), eh?.

I feel like Dennis Kucinich at an Area 51 Expo..... sadly disappointed.

But here, take a shot at this one. Maybe it will engender another "funny".

Fine, click my name and find out.

Yepsen: Parties, candidates must make sure caucuses are clean

Obama's campaign is telling Iowa college students they can caucus for him even if they aren't from Iowa. His campaign offers that advice in a brochure being distributed on college campuses in the state. A spokesman said 50,000 of the fliers are being distributed. It says: "If you are not from Iowa, you can come back for the Iowa caucus and caucus in your college neighborhood."

"We should elect people who are doing hard werk" Hillary

I heard this today on the radio from her, hard work, she sound just like Bush.

~Das Corkinator (He'll be BACK!)

An un-named spokesman?

In the Des Moines Register which endorsed Hillary?

Sounds more like a smear directed at Obama by a pissed off Hillary Camp.

Asides, you need to have id to vote in a caucus.

All the candidates had out of state volunteers in Iowa to help with the canvassing of neighbourhoods.

If you believe this bullshit Corky you'll believe anything.

Or do you actually believe it?

Aren't you just desperately throwing mud against the Obama campaign in the hopes of that some of it will stick?

Spuyd sayeth unto you now, Cork...

They called Raygun the Teflon President cos nothing stuck to him.

Obama is gonna make Raygun look like a piece of flypaper in an outhouse in direct comparison.

None of the usual dirty tricks are gonna work this time, Cork.

Spud been sayin it fer a while...

This time IS gonna be different.

Believe that.

Obama/Biden '08.

Be Well.

Good link, Corky. Or is it not permissible to criticize Obama from the left on this site?
