The original "wiped off the map" threat translation came from Irans own news agency.
And thereafter Iran always issued statements that he was misinterpeted whenever he makes inflamatory speechs.

Europe has been working to stop the iranian enrichment program for years. The left has consistantly chastized Bus for not interveneing sooner. The EU failed and asked the US for asistance. Of course when we assist and show the concerns we have with their program then the left on this board chastizes Bush for doing nothing more than going to the UN to strengthen sanctions.

Iran doesnt need to enrich uranium, they are developing long range missiles, they promote wiping out a foreign soverign nation, and they monitarily and tactically support terrorist groups in the region. No worries from the left. Of course they had no worries after our embassies and US ships were attacked either now did they?

Our allies are worried about Iran's Nuc program and we have been working with them and through the UN. These are the things I keep reading that the leftist want. Thats all our govermnemnt under Bush has done with regards to Iran, even though there seems to be reasonable proof that they were exporting weapons into Iraq to kill American troops. Suprising how that seems to have improved now too. Another win for Bush.
Still, blame the US. It seems some believe it would be better to negotiate with a nuclear armed Iran than to prevent them from going nuclear. Clinton did nothing about Pakistan's nuc program and now we find our troops over their gaurding their weapons.
