I like the fair tax. It has great potential to change the balance of power in the arena of world trade. Most other countries will have a hard time competing with the US with all their embedded and value added taxes. Tancradeo also backs this. I'd rather see no income tax and smaller gov as is a potential possibility with Ron Paul. The thing that bothers me about Huckabee reminds me too much of Jimmy Carter. Weak and way too happy for his own good.

Huckabee claims that he is for the fairtax, but what he says and what he would do are two different things. Personally, I wouldn't trust anyone who is so ignorant that he thinks the earth is only 6000 years old. But, that's just me.

I have two undergraduate bachelors' degrees, one in Political Science, another in Business Administration. I have three minors: Computer Science, History, and Finance. My Master's is an MBA, but with a concentration in Finance. And while I don't have a finance degree per se, I do tell people that my training is in Finance--that's what about 80 hours of coursework has been in, at both the graduate and the undergraduate levels, so what's the diff?

He has a degree in a similar field and went part of the way toward getting a theology degree. The man petitioned to have a future rapist/murderer released from jail and we're talking about this?

From a pedagogical standpoint? I don't think so. Did you ever take an religion class? How much time was spent discussing "how people are organized?"

Theology has been replaced with "religious studies" at a number of schools. So, I'm not surprised he uses the terms interchangeably. Huckabee should have been accurate in describing his formal education credentials. But, this is a non-issue in my opinion. And, no, I'm not a Huckabee supporter.

When I first started hearing about Huckabee I confess I hearted him because I thought he was a "straight talker" even though I did not necessarily agree with his religious philosophy. I was trying to look beyond that.

But, now I can see I was wrong to even give that much credit to him. If one lies about his educational credentials to gain a few of the religious right votes then what else will he lie about? WE have fired folks for doing that on their resumes to get a job.

And then there is this little statement:

"People look at my record and say that I'm as strong on immigration, strong on terror as anybody. In fact I think I'm stronger than most people because I truly understand the nature of the war that we are in with Islamofascism. These are people that want to kill us. It's a theocratic war. And I don't know if anybody fully understands that. I'm the only guy on that stage with a theology degree. I think I understand it really well. And know the threat of it is absolutely overwhelming to us."

I see now we are dealing with the same Bullshit lies that this Administration has tried to portray that this whole thing is a Religious war...or shall we just call it what they want to call it...a Crusade?

AS always I call Bullshit on all that shit as we are faced with a bunch of well financed Criminals and there is no war unless we make one! Which we have done in Iraq... which has effectively distracted us from our objectives in Afghanistan, which has now deteriorated from a "police" action into a war.

You do not send armies after Crooks you send the Police (or FBI or CIA in the case of International Crooks and maybe some special forces).

Remember the "good old days" when we worked with other countries and used Interpol to track down and capture "terrorists"?

It appears to me that most "Christian Leaders" only study Christianity as it relates to the Bible... maybe not even ALL versions of the Bible. This is NOT theology.

A person who is studying Theology is open to ALL Religions and studies the history of each and how they relate to each other.

I would hazard to say that most University trained Theologians do NOT consider the Bible to be the inerrant Word of a God.

Only those that are trained at a Christian Academy or University (like the Oral Roberts or Jerry Falwell schools)are "brainwashed" into believing this to be true.

To me that is a main reason why these schools were created. I would even go so far as to say if you question the Bible as being the word of God you would probably not be able to graduate from one of these "re-education camps".
