Jim Dwyer: In a debate among Republican candidates this week, Mr. Giuliani was asked what promises he would make about running an open White House. "I would make sure that government was transparent," Mr. Giuliani said. "My government in New York City was so transparent that they knew every single thing I did almost every time I did it." That was a daring claim, considering that prying information out of the Giuliani City Hall required teams of lawyers with the persistence of mules

Oh My Another Hurdle!

Mr. Harding's father, the head of the New York Liberal Party, had provided Mr. Giuliani with a valuable endorsement in 1993

The emperor, or well the Mayor in this case, has no clothes.

What do you think Bowa? Libs giving one of their own an endorsement? A valuable one at that?

Creeping Communism is that that is. Nothin' but commies coming out of Rudy's closet. Dressed in drag mind you, but commies none the less.

Unless its not just about wearing a matching bra and panty set and there's some whole other thing going on in Rudy's cloest.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. A candidate's predilections are his own business.

Regards,
etc.

"Since leaving public office at the end of 2001, Mr. Giuliani has made many millions of dollars, but will not say exactly how, or from whom."

I know! I know!!

From his firm that was mining data on innocent Americans....thousands and thousands of Americans who have no ties with terrorists.

If anyone believes Guiliani, they are more than a few fries short of a happy meal.

Bowa's bag is completely empty!

As the world breaths a sigh of relief with the ending of the Bush presidency, his successor is likely to be Hillary or Rudy. And the cycle begins again from hope, to shock to disgust to despair.

Giuliani will not be President.

Hillary might.

Obama O8!

Ray you make Marvin of The Hitchhiker's Guide fame seem like a Baptist in Heat!

from the article

I would make sure that government was transparent," Mr. Giuliani said. "My government ...was so transparent that they knew every single thing I did almost every time I did it.

Also very transparent then was Rudy's inability to ever keep his trousers zipped. Do we really need all of his all of his extra-martial affairs baggage in the White House? No. How long is this clown going to ride on 9-11?

correction

delete one set of "all of his" from the above post.

I'm no fan of Ghouliani. I guess that makes us even.

rudy has no character. when do we hear that michael vick and roger clemmens are supportingim?

rudy has no character

Agreed. Rudy plays a character but doesn't actually have character. An important distinction thinks Spud.

Rudy has made millions in the years since 9/11 going around talking up corporations for ridiculous "speakers fees".

His biggest backer in the NYC is a Vulture Fund operative who made all of Bono's and other efforts in African debt relief just a gravy train for himself and others like him. When Gordon Brown the new non-lap dog PM of Great Britain found out about that connection he was incensed, btw. Making that traditional ally an awkward guest at the ole WH in the horrific instance of Rudy actually becoming POTUS (God forbid!).

He's a corporate whore through and through.

An overly secretive man who has more skeltons than closet space.

A little man in search of a big balcony.

He says he'll have transparent government but folks who've followed his stint as Mayor know wot utter rubbish that is.

In case you were only skimming the above let Spud be perfectly clear Spud is no fan of Rudy.

Be Well.

I don't trust Rudy, Hillary or most of the rest & Rommey looks like a used car salesman. It's a shame this is all we have to choose from. How about a race between Ron Paul, Obamamma and Lou Dobbs? Time for a real change! Anything might be better than the same oh, same oh. Just a thought.

Don't forget about his decision to send all his papers from when he was mayor not to the public Municipal Archives, as required, but instead to his own private organization, keeping them out of the public record and ensuring that, even once returned to the public, their integrity could never be assured.

Seriously?

Spud hadn't heard one that.

Spud's gonna check out yer site.

Ta fer the hedZ up!

Be Well.

Ha! Cool site!

Spud luffed the thing about how the Latino community supported Dinkum over Rudy originally and then came back to support him when he won the Mayoralty and then almost immediately realised their mistake when they saw all the racial profiling that went on after he got in.

Judy Rueliani backpedalling on MTP with Russert was a giggle too!

MR. RUSSERT: Here's New Hampshire: Romney's ahead of--as you can see, 25; Giuliani, 17; McCain, 16. South Carolina: Huckabee is ahead 20; Giuliani, 17; Romney, 15. And Nevada, we'll show you Nevada: Giuliani is ahead 25, 20, 17.

MR. GIULIANI: Now do Florida. Do Florida.

Does anybody in Florida know if there's any luff fer Rudy there?

Spud has a hard time imagining it.

Be Well.

The Giuliani companies have provided services for the Saudi national oil company, for the emirate of Qatar and for a data-mining business that wanted a federal contract, according to recent reports in Time magazine, The Wall Street Journal and The Village Voice.

That should be enough for all the Bush supporters out there! Rudy supports your conservative brethren in Saudi Arabia just like the Bush baby does.

Where the heck is Bowa?

On suicide watch.

"On suicide watch."

LOL

FF for Alex

Damn.. Rudy and Hillary are the scariest candidates in this race, and yet, they are at the top of their parties. How braindead is America???

Trying to contact his suppliers in Saipan and the Northern Mariana Islands to see if it's too late to cancel that big order for Rudy thongs?

bye bye giuliani..

where's bowa?

:-)

on vacation. staying away from the blogs and computer -- but I had to watch the morning news shows this morning -- and so now I'm feeding my addiction.

:-)

I see there's more mudslinging and smears by Rudy's "friends" in the lefty media.

Unlike Corky's continued delusions about Hillary, I will admit that they may heave dealt a death blow to Rudy's campaign -- " a death by a thousand cuts" in which all the accusations and innuendo just add up over time to change the public impression of him.

The NYC media especially is being shamelessly dishonest (eg. I watched katie Kouric the other night and in 5 minutes she knocked Rudy 3x and did a puff piece on Hillary) -- During the time, Rudy's mayoralty was never accused of being corrupt or dishonest -- yet he is now. When he was mayor, the attacks from the liberal press on him were that he was "mean" and "ruthless" as he publicly flaunted his dislike for his soon to be ex-wife, succesfully cleaned up the streets, lowered crime, and refused to meet with sham black leaders like "Al Sharpton". If there had been a whiff of corruption going on -- the Lefties would have jumped all over it. But even in blue NYC, the accusations of corruption made at the time -- never went beyond a couple of New Cycles or an essay in that most lefty of all rags -- the Village Voice.

I still think that us GOP moderates can see Romney for the dishonest "slick willie" he is -- and in the end we will hand Rudy the nomination.

But it's going to be quite a horse race from here on out.
