What do you mean go-it-alone?

Bush has always had god and Jeeeeesus on his side.

"The military has now begun to slowly reverse the troop increase...."

Now the enemy, since it was left intact as a military force, is free to slowly take advantage of that.

Note the number of Republicans now refering to the Surge gains as "tenuous". I wonder why they're making that point now?

"....he accused the president of marginalizing Gen. Eric Shinseki, the Army chief of staff, who said at the outset of the war that it might take several hundred thousand U.S. troops to control Iraq after the invasion. "I would have met with Shinseki privately and carefully weighed his advice," Huckabee said.

How refreshing to hear a GOP candidate tell it like it is - including Bush's foreign policy "bunker mentality". It's isolated us and resulted in massive blunders internationally.

On Iran, for example, he makes a case for diplomacy by saying, "Before we put boots on the ground elsewhere, we had better have wingtips there first."

I'm beginning to feel the most optimistic I have felt in years. If it's an Obama-Huckabee race next year America will benefit from the most straight talking, unvitriolic campaign since perhaps Kennedy-Nixon in 1960. How refreshing would that be? The pundits may have to go to DefCon 3 realizing that we Americans by far would rather see what we can do together rather than tear each other down.

I don't know about you, but I would want someone that understands science a bit better than Huckabee

then there's the turn the "born agains" loose to kill again!

Hillary will not be President. Huckabee may not be President.

If another Republican becomes President (for 8 years), he will be the most liberal Republican in recent years. (This will make easier for ultra liberals not to think of migrating to Canada).

If another Republican becomes President (for 8 years), he will be the most liberal Republican in recent years.

Who would that be? I can't think of one liberal in the bunch.

He's so much more right than Guiliana, McCain or Romney.

long on optimism but short on details

That's Huckabee in a nutshell.

(Which is where the guy belongs quite frankly)

He is a master of flowing rhetoric but the more you try to nail him down the more obvious becomes that his substance doesn't match his words.

His inability to see beyond his own religious beliefs and his anti-scientific stance make him unfit to lead America in this or indeed even the last century.

He is a dinosaur who believes the earth is 6,000 years old.

If he was running for local dog catcher it would be funny but he's not.

He's running for what is potentially the most important job on earth.

He aint up to the task on so many levels it's scary.

Eye DO NOT

What do you mean go-it-alone?

Bush has always had god and Jeeeeesus on his side.

As a Baptist minister, God and Jayzuzz are more onHuck's side.
Can't figure out why Huckleberry sounds like a librul...

Apparently, when you try and make one of them li'l heart thingy's with a "less than sign" and a "3" the Drduge Gerbil will eat yer postage after the less than sign. The blog-god could prolly explain that better than Spud hte techno-peasant. This happened yesterday too and Spud couldn't figure it out. Oh well, that was supposed to read...

Eye DO NOT "heart" Huckabee's campaign.

(A reference to a lame movie, btw)

Be Well.

By most liberal ---- not by democrat or liberal standard, but by conservative standard.

(enough to ease the pain of liberals while living under another......)

I won't be voting for Huckabee, buy my comments were to the fact that he's teling it like it is about Iraq and our foreign policy. He's most likely taking notes from Obama - who I think will be our next president. America needs a shot of youth, vigor, honesty, pragmatism, and the unvarnished truth.

Who Takitez? Who?

Taskitez has, wot Spud calls, an "Archie Bunker Mentality"

Be Well.

Hillary will not be President.

I bet she will. 500 Dollar ok?

Huck just got busted about lying about his education.

"Bunker mentality"
Hmmmm......why is Huckabee comparing Bush to Hitler???? Isn't that where "bunker mentality" originated????
Hey, I sort of see where he's coming from but I wouldn't make such a comparison, no I'll let the potential Christian President do that.

why is Huckabee comparing Bush to Hitler????

~Danni

Absolute twaddle sez Spud.

Why, there are several clear differences between Bush and Hitler.

Um...Lessee fer one Hitler had that li'l mustache.

Ummm... Oh, Spud's got it! Hitler was elected!

Ummm....

Spud is sure there must be more but Spud can't think of any of them just now.

^_^

Be Well.

Niceville again.

Ho, ho, fucking hum.

Spud,

You might want to look up Hitler's military service. This will suggest a few more differences with The Divider.

Be Swell.

Hitler's military service

~Blueinbushland

Ha! Another difference between Hitler and Dumbya, good 'un.

Hitler actually had some military experience before starting his two front war.

And the fact that Hitler wasn't stupid enuff to threaten to start a third front would be another one Spud supposes! ^_^

Hitler only had one ball so that makes him one ball up on Dumbya!

Hey! This is FUN!!

More cookies now!!

Be Well.

"Low-income or retired would pay the same tax as somebody who has a million dollars," said Sweezey, an independent. "I guess if you don't buy anything, you don't pay any sales tax, but if you do buy something, you pay sales tax."

The R Thugs would love to shift all of the the tax burden to wage earners, but that being to blatant they'd settle for a national sales tax.

And calling it the "fair tax" is so clever.

Huckabee, as a trained Baptist minister is supposed to be a preacher of the Gospel not a f/@-*& politician. Why doesn't he go try to convert some heathens.

Huckabee is just another Bush, trying to manipulate the (mostly willing) religious conservatives.

France and Germany have become stronger allies since Bush became president and attacked Iraq. The people of those countries have voted in pro American politicians.

Canada. Japan, the former soviet block countries still remain strong allies.

It seems the only ones to hate America are really Achmajihad, Chavez, Castro and the American Left. Russia under Putin has lost his support from the western european contries.

Seems Bush's foreign policy has worked by reversing the trend set forth by Clinton.

Bush 37% favorable trending upward,
Dem congress 22% and still caving in to Republicans.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Maybe you should actually go to fairtax.org and do a little research before you start bad mouthing tax reform. Why is it an accepted conclusion that a large part of my income is not mine to use at all. Also, why have many former soviet countries adopted a flat tax and low corporate taxes? Why are they growing? Hmmmmmm?

There is a inherent problem with a system that excludes almost 50% of the population from contributing. That portion has no immediately visible stake in protecting private property or the profits of the other 50%. Which is why much of that non contributing 50% is so easily bought by the Democratic Parties promises of Robin Hood fairy tales.

The actually do have a very large tax burden, if you count little things like the price of goods that is inflated by high corporate taxes, or inflation, or lack of job growth.

We should round up all the rich, take their property, and chop off their heads. That worked well in France. I think that is the Edwards platform.

sorry I am an idiot and put F'ed up the tag

When Clinton was President, the US was loved in the western world.
Clinton is even today well respected in every European country.
