Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Tuesday, December 11, 2007

Matt Drudge claims today that the Democratic National Committee has told staffers to "hold all fire" on Gov. Mike Huckabee, believing he'd be easy to beat in a general election. Drudge reports, "Within the DNC, Huckabee is known as the 'glass jaw -- and they're just waiting to break it.'" New York Observer writer Steve Kornacki believes the story is the result of an "unusually close" relationship between Drudge and the Romney campaign.

Huckabee is just the worst! As much as I dislike Rudy, I could vote for him if someone held a gun to my head, but Huckabee, oh dear lord! I would just tell them to pull the trigger.

Who would believe anything Matt Drudge "prints"? He's Karl Rove's boy on the internet.

Who would believe anything Matt Drudge "prints"?

Yeah, afterall he writes all those articles. Boo!

Spud thinks that rabid weasels have more scruples than Matt "The Fabulous One" Drudge.

He's not so much a source of information that reflects public opinion as he is a dedicated opinion shaper who's a conduit for selected leaks from both sides of the aisle but mostly the right.

Wot's his deal now?

The DNC are holding fire of Huckabee?

That's kinda dumb, aint it?

Spud knows that Mikey got the biggest "likability" factor among folks who don't really pay attention out there in GOPherland.

Spud also knows he's an evolution denier who doesn't belong in this century's politics and a man who let a rapist go free just to tweak the nose of the Clintons and one of their supporters. The guy re-offended and Huckleberry tried to pull the whole "nobody could have imagined" BS from his ass as RTs seem to do almost instinctually.

His paucity of imagination is matched only by his false piety and lack of intellect.

Still, the guy did lose over a hundred pounds and he can play the guitar and make pious noises on command so that might just make him good enuff fer the RT crowd.

Not good enuff fer America, certainly, but the brain-dead folk on the right won't see it.

Spud does.

Be Well.

The DNC are holding fire of Huckabee?

That's kinda dumb, aint it?

Spud: No, it's pretty smart. You want to face the opponent you can beat the easiest. Say the Dems had proof Romney was a secret muslim with 11 wives. If they expose him now, he's toast, but they still have to face a Republican in the election. So they sit on the info. If he loses the primaries, he's still gone, but if he makes it to the General election, they can torpedo him then.

He says aids is caused by an unheathy lifestyle choice yet his weighing 400lbs isn't?

Huckleberry weighs 400 pounds?

Huckabee lost a bunch of weight by using ayds.

Still, the guy did lose over a hundred pounds and he can play the guitar and make pious noises on command so that might just make him good enuff fer the RT crowd.

As opposed to a 40 something Junior Senator? Or maybe another Junior Senator who moved to the biggest lib state to become elected? Or how about an ex ambulance chasing lawyer? Who all run on the same change mantra? Who have yet to answer a serious question without a blame Bush excuse? As you say... That is enough for the brain dead left?

Huckabee is the Dem's wetdream. He'd get between 33-40% of the popular vote, tops.

Doc,
How do Hildabeast and Barrack expect to win the south? Do you really think they are ready to vote for a liberal black or female President? Are these two going to buck the decades old trend of electing sitting Senators?

Crispee: Check out the pardon page. Huckleberry is a gullible moron.

I hope he gets the nod. He's so stupid even the klan would vote for Obama over him.

I would comment on this issue, but I said something less than glowing about Obama earlier, very un-PC of me, and I'm not allowed to say anything now.

Be that as it may. He appeals to the good ol boys in the Midwest and South. I think the klan would have a hard time voting for a black man or a woman.

I guess everybody from Arkansas is an idiot. Good ol Huck just adds to the list we started when JD Willie ran for pres. My god they are dumb down there. Does Huck's wife work for the Rose law firm too?

"I think the klan would have a hard time voting for a black man or a woman."

The GOP's natural constituency includes the Klan:

In early March 1989, after his legislative victory, Duke addressed a Populist party convention in Chicago, telling the audience of neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and skinheads that he had run for office under the GOP label "because that's where so many of our people are," adding, "I am a Republican, but I am and always will be a Populist Republican!"

Source
Why should the Democrats worry about the votes of those who would never vote for them anyway, like members of the Klan?

Hans

Not that he has a chance of getting the nomination anyways, but if it even looks remotely like he will, the GOP will sabotage his campaign themselves. Not that any of it matters, *sigh* I see the writing on the wall, it is going to be Godzillary in 08. I also would bet a hundred bucks she'll pick Wes Clark for her VP.

Letting a rapist go free was dumb in of itself.

Did Jim Guy Tucker commute Dumond's sentence "just to tweak the nose of the Clintons" as well?

It was commuted from life plus 20 to 39 years. Some commutation. Some tweak.
Incidentally, until Huckleberry told them to release him, the Parole Board had voted overwhelmingly not to parole the sicko.
Repeatedly.

Hans,

Just curious if you have seen any of these suggestions heeded by any Democratic candidate? Or if you think they will follow the authors advice.

Why should the Democrats worry about the votes of those who would never vote for them anyway, like members of the Klan?

Hans,
I was responding sarcastically to the klan line by Northguy.

"It was commuted from life plus 20 to 39 years. Some commutation. Some tweak."
--NORTHGUY3

It also made Dumond eligible for parole.

The whole thing was not outside of Huckabee's character either, as he granted a crap load of pardons.

I don't think he did it out of spite for the Clintons, I think he was just retarded.

Either way, he's toast.

I just hope it happens in the primaries and not with him as the candidate.

I just hope it happens in the primaries and not with him as the candidate.

naw, let's see him implode on Hallowe'en.

"Incidentally, until Huckleberry told them to release him, the Parole Board had voted overwhelmingly not to parole the sicko.

Well duh. The parole board was appointed by Huckabee. It's no wonder they'd do anything he says, including release a rapist so he can go out and rape and murder another woman.

Unless the other Republican candidates start making more noise out of this, and the fact that Huckabee is only a Republican when it comes to Jesus and abortion, they can kiss the nomination goodbye.

so is the dnc going to also hold fire on thier own speaker of the house.....

two members of the group that looks over the pages have resigned saying that the pages are running wild and there is a report of a blowjob in a room to a page from a female page with others watching..
Now I know to the left this is just another chapter in the blowjob billy legacy.....AND ITS ONLY A BLOWJOB But I believe the girl was 16.........

the page story has been on radio all afternoon on more than ONE SHOW on talk radio.......the story was in one of the papers from 'the hill'........

Who needs the South ?

Kerry came close to winning and was only the fiddle in Ohio that kept him out.

Ohio's 20 electoral votes were the difference. It was 286 Bush to 252 Kerry

Of course Bushboy Matt Drudge -- and the other Republican elite shills -- will try to take down anyone who might be a threat to Romney. How many times have I posted on here that Romney is corporate boys' "chosen one" to sit in the White House. After unbridled corporatism and greed allowed to run amok under Bush they aren't about to let it stop it now.

I have also said a number of time to look for "currently unemployed" brother Jebby Bush to be offered the VP slot on Romney's ticket. The self-anoited Bush family dynasty does not go away quietly not will it relinguish power.

No more Clintons, Bushes, and their fellow globalists.
It is very important to this country to get the right man in office next election. I'm just not sure who it is yet.

so all dems are hard working people in refinaries and other "Jobs of the people"....remember the stats about more congressmen representing RICH DEMS than republicans not long ago.

'The self-anoited Bush family dynasty does not go away quietly not will it relinguish power.'

at least you had the intellectual honesty to include this AFTER the previous post

"No more Clintons, Bushes, and their fellow globalists."

I agree........this country is not about royal families and regardless of my political beliefs, it is time for someone other than a clinton or bush.

of course that brings up that PESKY problem for me again.......no not the itching or the rash.....

it sure wont be hillarioushillary or obama HUSSEIN.........yuk yuk......

New Hampshire will invert these current poll standings and the press will have a field day with a new top-spot man.....and then this will all change again in South Carolina.

Huck won't be the nominee, as much as I'd love to see it because he is so beatable, I don't think the RNC will go with him if he can't hold his standings in NH.

aw.....I think the polls mean less here than any other time, they change from week to week or month to month......and do people in NH and iowa read the polls and then go out and vote or caucas....my guess is no.......

and this is dejavue all over again........
reagan and bush were both overlooked for a long time and were said to be beatable.....
surely you arent underestimating any of them because we arent doing that with dems.......well the gravel guy....he was pretty much a washout from the beginning.........

You seemed to have left out Freddie Thompson. That bloated alcoholic only served a term and a half and then fled for LIBERAL HOLLYWOOD right after 911, when his country needed him most. I guess he had more important things to do.

There's also Shitt Romney, the flip-flopping, gay marriage loving, abortionist governor of that liberal hellhole that the right loves to hate for some reason, Massachusetts. Of course, he changed his mind on all that 'lib' stuff when he sought nomination. Expect more of the same.

come on common......we dont hate mass.......we despise some people that come from there....people who MURDER young girls leaving them to drown at the bridge......and I have met many a person from there talking about the amount of taxes in that liberal haven......
I accept his explanation on his changing views.....FOR NOW......if he turns on any more issues, then that could be a problem......

and so far....biggest disappointment.....the campaign of thompson....I thought it would be an annoiting much like hillary did for herself.....we were both way off.

Lets get this straight bushlover: the states with the highest murder rates are in the south. All those taxes being paid in the Northeast goes to all you freeloaders in the south. Eight of the states with the highest tax rates are in the northeast and get the least return. Where would you be without the Tenn Valley Authority that was built with blue money? You want to talk about self reliance then go do it without the blue states that are paying your way. You red staters talk a good talk about family values but its a blue state with the best marriage statistics. MASSACHUSETTS!!!

Yes, we do have them here, but there are 34 other states that higher taxes than Massachusetts.

Taxes? You mean state income taxes? Some states don't even have it. Having lower state income taxes isn't a measure of anything unless you add it to sales tax, property tax (biggie there) and local/county taxes.

I visited some friends of mine who live in Mass. I about vomited when they told me how much their property taxes were.

And they live in a shithole.

I was talking overall taxes but we can talk property taxes if you'd like.

Property taxes are right in line with the national avg and are based on each town. The high tax comes from the high real-estate values here in Mass.

My sister pays 16,000 a year in property taxes. It sounds like a lot but it's a 7500 sq ft home, and the tax rate is only slightly higher than the state avg and her house (and land) is worth a mint.

Go to realtor.com and do a search on homes in the surrounding Boston areas. Your reaction will depend on whether you own property here or not.

BTW, how nice of you to describe your 'friends' home as a 'shithole'. Use zillow and see what the value is. I bet you'd choke to learn that the shithole is worth some nice cash.

Posted by shirtsbyeric at 2007-12-11 02:41 PM | Reply

Aids IS spread from unhealthy lifestyles 99% of the time.. The last time I checked a fat man has never spread his unhealthy lifestyle onto another skinny person..

Since the state-level income tax subject was brought up, and since I've done a little research on it, I can say:

Seven of the fifty states have no income tax at all (including FL, WA, NV, and SD if memory serves).
Two of the nine only tax "interest income" above a certain level (NH and... I want to say TN, but I don't remember).

Now, between those nine, there are fairly considerable differences as far as property tax, cost of living, sales tax and so forth. For example, Florida's property tax rate is obscene from what I understand... but if I were to relocate from where I am now (PA) to FL, and find a job that pays me a similar amount as my current employment, I'd be doing somewhere around 20% better. I kid you not. If I were to relocate to Seattle on the other hand (and this is what I want to do, I wish I could afford it), which has a (I think it is anyway, again going on memory) lowr property tax rate, I'd be doing about 15% worse under the same circumstances I'd mentioned above.

"so when can we expect nancy to resign over this like the dems demanded not that long ago?????????"

When can we expect you to get simple facts straight?

The resignations were called for because the Rs broke their own rules by circumventing the Page Board, and only told the Republican members on that board of the indescretions. They never told the lone Dem member on the Page Board, and instead went to the head of the Republican re-election campaigns, who urged Foley to run again.

Do you understand the difference or not?

"Aids IS spread from unhealthy lifestyles 99% of the time."

Bullshit. The majority of AIDS cases occur in sub-saharan Africa, among the straight population, passed via heterosexual sex.

Isn't Huck smart? He's got the Dems so bamboozled that they consider him "easy". But....sshhhhh...let's keep the secret....then let's watch him blow their heads off in the General.

I am as conservative as anybody but I wouldn't even consider voting for Huckleberry.

Isn't Huck smart? He's got the Dems so bamboozled that they consider him "easy". But....sshhhhh...let's keep the secret....then let's watch him blow their heads off in the General.

Newsweek has dirt on Huckleberry that he pimped out the Governorship to RJR Reynolds and the tobacco industry through a phoney non-profit. Even though the Huckster met with tobacco industry consultants in his own apartment, and actually asked them to step outside to smoke, he says he didn't know of the industry's involvement in lining his pockets. He's a backwoods scam artist who's hit the big time for 15 minutes.

Someone said Hucky is known around Washington as, "The Glass Jaw".

oooh! Lovin' Spoonful Special.

Dandelion break, as he Spudster would say.....

The dems are also holding fire, for the most part, on Romney, Guilani, Paul, Thompson, etc.

They're running against EACH OTHER. They rarely mention the republicans--as opposed to the republicans who can't but help mention Clinton every 5 seconds.

THIS IS AN ATTACK ON HUCKABEE BY THE REPUBLICANS. This is a way of saying Huckabee is "unelectable". In other words, if the dems want them, the republicans shouldn't. This is a political misdirection at its finest.
