A volunteer Iowa county coordinator for Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign has resigned after forwarding a chain e-mail that suggests Barack Obama is a Muslim who wants to destroy the United States by being elected to its highest office.

Weren't Hillary's people also accused of being behind the "madrassa" smear of Obama earlier in the year?

Sounds like Hillary is taking a page from Your playbook Lokisfur,

No, Bowa, that was you. Just before you hauled out that basketfull of arugula under the supposing that Iowa farmers are rubes. Now, be a good boy and go peddle some more Rudy thongs.

article about debate in paper yesterday......I guess I didnt miss all that much by getting to the golf course early......well there was that birdie putt on 16 that cost me 24 bucks.....but anyway.....
it seems like the others are attacking hillary in a way that will make libs hate her......they kept comparing her to bush....( iran thing about the guard being terrorists and all that)

no wonder she is striking back......thats the kind of charge that will make a working girl think about maybe going home and baking those cookies......

I think she is in REAL trouble in this, what USED TO be, annoiting as the candidate and she knows it.......

I said in a thread the other day this type of stuff would happen (I thought it would be from the GOP though) and I got called a racist, or a race baiter... bunch of other shit...

So to sum up, go fuck yourselves Dethspud and AmericanUnity

Here is the E mail he sent!Who Is Barack Obama?
Very interesting and something that should be considered in your choice.
If you do not ever forward anything else, please forward this to all your contacts...this is very scarey to think of what lies ahead of us here in our own United States...better heed this and pray about it and share it.
We checked this out on "snopes.com". It is factual.
Check for yourself.
Who is Barack Obama?

Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein
Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHIEST from Wichita, Kansas.
Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii. When
Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia.? When Obama was! 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia. Obama attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta. He also spent two years in a Catholic school. Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is quick to point out that, "He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school."
Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that? Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education.
Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta.
Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world. Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background. ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran. Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy
The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US
from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level - through the President of the United States, one of their own!!!! lease forward to everyone you know. Would you want this

I got called a racist, or a race baiter... bunch of other shit... posted by Beever

Of course Beever isnt a racist. just ask his wife shown here getting reedy for church with little Beever:
cache.viewimages.com and she'll tell you Beever isn't a racist or a race baiter.

That can't be the real email... lol... is it?

So when 101 comes back as other names he is banned for good, but when Ozarkaggie does it as Setpoint he gets to stay?

No shit. And how long has this shit been going on?

"Judy Rose, a Clinton coordinator and Democratic Party official in Jones County, Iowa, forwarded it without comment to eight people on Nov. 21. Rose referred requests for comment to one of the recipients, Grace Zimmerman, who serves with her on the Jones County Democratic Central Committee.

Zimmerman said Wednesday that Rose sent it to the members of the committee to "show people how dirty politics is" and did not agree with the content of the e-mail.

"Oh heavens no," Zimmerman said in a telephone interview. "She just wanted the people who were concerned with the politics of Jones County to be aware of it."

People can change their screen name any time they want . . . except when they're in exile.

Too bad you weren't here in 2004-05 when Tadowe had a half dozen names and used them to talk back and forth with himself.

Now THAT was entertainment.

I said, "Weren't Hillary's people also accused of being behind the "madrassa" smear of Obama earlier in the year?"

So Doc immediately went into attack mode on me saying, "No, Bowa, that was you. Just before you hauled out that basketfull of arugula Blah blah blah"

And the truth is that I was right. The Hillary campaign was indeed accused of spreading the "Madrassa" smear earlier in the year.

"Summary: On January 17, InsightMag.com posted a story stating that Sen. Barack Obama attended a madrassa as a boy and that this information had originated from Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's camp. With the aid of the conservative media, InsightMag.com's anonymously sourced report turned into 11 days of baseless accusations against two leading contenders for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. I was here in the Wild West Days.

Back then we all had multiple names and did "real" spoofing.

At first I thought Tad was Mao Tse Dung on drugs.

Same corky.

Tad is just the future version of Mao.

I was here in the Wild West Days.

It was kind of fun when you could just post as Visitor...

Rob- I'm sending rcade an email about "setpoint". This shit has to stop.

As much as I can't stand Clinton, I have to call bullshit on you Bowa. Did you even bother to read past the first line of the article?

Moom, Bullshit how? That I am making this story up? There's no bullshit here -- a clinton campaign worker forwarded a smear on obama -- and that caused a chain of events which led it to be spread to Daily Kos, force the resignation of the campaign worker, and now be plastered on the front page of drudgereport.com

First of all, the email was only sent to other campaign staffers. Emails like this would only work as a campaign tool if it was circulated to people outside the campaign.

Moom, obviously one of the 8 people it was forwarded to was so offended she complained on the Daily Kos and caused this campaigns worker resignation -- and now the story is on drudgereport.com.

So I would say that this smear email worked quite well as a a campaign tool --for obama.

Secondly, this isn't the type of thing Hillary would want associated with her campaign at all. Creating this could only hurt her and she knows it.

That can be said about all "smears" created by campaigns that get identified back to the source.

All in all, I think this was an example of very poor judgment on the staffer's part, but nothing more.

It's poor judgement for sure -- but neither you or I have any insight into the motivation of this staff member, or the forces acting on her which led her to believe that this was a good idea. Even if the staffer did act alone, it tells America that Hillary's campaign is so rattled by Obama that she has lost control of her staff and they are just acting on their own without her knowledge, oversight or direction.

Here is where Lokisfur aka Bowa made a thread accsing Obama of being an apostate.

www.drudge.com

Larry Mohr

Such cheap shots have hurt Hillary more than Obama.

CORKY

I just checked your seniority and you're right. You were here.

What was your original handle (if you don't mind). I'll probably remember you.

Mine was KHAYA.

Even if the staffer did act alone, it tells America that Hillary's campaign is so rattled by Obama that she has lost control of her staff and they are just acting on their own without her knowledge, oversight or direction.

Because you WANT it to say that. The staffers are people. People show poor judgement. The staffer was fired for their conduct, and you have NO PROOF that Hillary had anything to do with the smear.

Using your logic, I guess we should just throw rudy in jail without a trial cuz he was BFF with kerik. No?

-Moom, obviously one of the 8 people it was forwarded to was so offended she complained on the Daily Kos and caused this campaigns worker resignation

Obviously?

Proof, please.

I disagree Bowa. I think this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the type of attacks that are going to be thrown at Obama. Allah help him if he actually gets the nomination...

I was always Corky, and several others back then.

These days I think people use other names when they don't want to be associated with their own remarks.

"Oh heavens no," Zimmerman said in a telephone interview. "She just wanted the people who were concerned with the politics of Jones County to be aware of it."Those Iowa biddies are known for their cruelty and devious dirty tricks, lmfao!!

LOL Don't be fooled by nastiness by old biddies wrapped in the niceties of "Oh Heavens no".

"Oh heavens no," Zimmerman said in a telephone interview about burning the cross on the lawn. "She just wanted to show the people of Jones County how beautiful a cross can be lit on fire in the night."

I smell another "accurate" Bowa headline coming.

Don't forget the ?, douchebag.

I noticed no one has commented on the accuracy of this email.

Normally when it says it has been confirmed by Snopes the first thing I do is go to snopes to see.

www.snopes.com

BTW this very same email was sent to me by my sister who was passing it along from my aunt, who is a staunch evangelical christian. It was last year that I received this email, so it is old news to me.

It's too bad more people don't check out the accuracy of emails.

Bowa thinks everyone is like himself.

How mundane.

I disagree Bowa. I think this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the type of attacks that are going to be thrown at Obama. Allah help him if he actually gets the nomination...

Not sure what you disagree with in my comment.

However, I do agree with yours. I think that because the race is wide open in both parties we are going to see more smears this time around then at any other time in my lifetime and maybe our history -- especially since the delivery vehicle -- the internet, the blogs, is so immediate.

Then again, Bowa does come off as an old biddie, so maybe he knows whereof he speaks, eh?

I disagree Bowa. I think this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the type of attacks that are going to be thrown at Obama. Allah help him if he actually gets the nomination...

Like:

"Obama, after graduating form Columbia University, flagrantly took a $13,000 a year job at a community action agency to help a community hard hit by plant closings"

"Obama subversively used his Harvard Law Degree to take a low paying position working to further civil rights (which apply to all citizens)"

"Obama has a reputation as a 'unitor'. His Republican colleagues in the Illinois Legislature spoke highly of him".

Man, you're right!! He IS gonna get smeared.

Bowa will be doing his best to smear Obama with the internet, you can count on that.

Arugula. Kindergarden kondoms. Madrassa school.

Every smear attempt by you has been shattered, and yet you have the gall to accuse some old lady of successfully doing that which you cannot? I think it's just professional jealousy.

Then again, I'd be pretty annoyed if an old lady did by accident what my best efforts could not achieve. And you aren't particularly good at it, bowa... just tenacious.

I smell another "accurate" Bowa headline coming.

I was making a joke about the fact that Corky was giving the campaign staffer who spread the smear a pass because she was an old biddy and used such a friendly phrase like ""Oh Heavens no" to explain her actions. As if that makes her promotion of this smear any less damaging or innoccuous.

She reminds me of those nice little old lady's who poison their husbands food with arsenic and serve it to them with a smile on their face.

Not sure what you disagree with in my comment.
That Hillary's camp is rattled by Obama...

I think that this type of tactic was inevitable against Barak Hussein Obama.

Now I realize everyone freaks out when you use his middle name, but that is kind of my point here...

aruuuuuuugula!

Bowa will be doing his best to smear Obama with the internet, you can count on that.

That's not true. I never "smear" anyone. I'm here to post stories that are part of the current events of the day and comment on them. Are you suggesting that certain stories are off limits for threads to be created about them?

Arugula. Kindergarden kondoms. Madrassa school.

LOL

I posted threads about the arugala story because it was in the news and comparisons were being made to Dukakis over it, as for "Kindergarten Kondoms? that was kind of prescient now wasn't it -- since some schools are now proposing to hand out Birth control to 11 and 12 year olds without the parents knowledge or consent. And I don't remember ever posting a thread about the "madrassa" smear. I remember commenting on it when it first came out -- It was unfounded and a cheap, dishonest shot at Obama in order to portray him as a muslim which he is not.

Every smear attempt by you has been shattered, and yet you have the gall to accuse some old lady of successfully doing that which you cannot? I think it's just professional jealousy.

If just posting threads about the attacks, criticisms and "gotchas" on politicians that are in the current news cycle qualifies as "smear attempts" then everyone here is guilty many times over of doing the same thing -- most of the threads seem to be "smearing' someone in that case.

Now I realize everyone freaks out when you use his (Obama's) middle name, but that is kind of my point here...

Posted by Rob_The_A_Hole

Well, George Walker Bush's middle name isn't exactly a plus, but no one made a big deal out of it:

John Walker - CIA employee and Master Spy for the USSR who helped decipher over 200,000 items for the Soviets

Well, George Walker Bush's middle name isn't exactly a plus, but no one made a big deal out of it:

Hans

that was kind of prescient now wasn't it

So when some guy randomely smeared Craig by calling him a "faggot" without knowing he might BE gay, he is exonerated in 2007 with the toe-tapping stories?

I think not. A smear is a smear. Obama himself never said anything about 5 years olds getting condoms or sex ed you got in high school. YOU MADE THAT UP!

You have purposefully tried to smear Obama and Hillary unsucessfully, not because dislike them, but because they stand in the way of Rudy.

And you want Rudy since you seem to think he has the best chance of winning. It can't be for rudy's good qualities...those have to be dug for.

and yet you have the gall to accuse some old lady of successfully doing that which you cannot? I think it's just professional jealousy.

LOL

That's pretty funny -- first that people think my main motivtion for being here is to smear Obama -- and 2nd because I would dare treat this "old lady" like an adult and hold her accountable and responsible for her actions.

What the hell does her "biddiness" factor have to do with minimizing the impact of this terrible smear which originated from a woman who "served on Clinton's Women's Leadership Council."

Leadership council?

That says it all doesn't it.

Obama himself never said anything about 5 years olds getting condoms or sex ed you got in high school

Problem was he left it open... "Age appropriate" sex education is what I believe what Obama was going for... That's open to interpretation...

There really is no need for any sex education in kindergarten... maybe some things can stay a mystery for a couple more years...

that was a joke right?

Maybe cuz it also makes people think of Walker Texas Ranger... who kicked ass

Posted by Rob_The_A_Hole

Not the fictitious character's middle name. We're talking middle names here....

"Age appropriate" Was a bad term for him to use. It required common sense for the reader to understand, without using political hackery. Hence the failure of some here to understand what he did and did not actually say.

Alex, I get what he was going for, I just disagree with him completely that there should be any sex ed at that age...

If you still believe a fat man with flying reindeer comes down your chimney every Dec 25 to give presents to good girls and boys, then your're too young.

"Willard Mitt Romney"

No wonder he uses HIS middle name. Willard was a killer rat.

Not the fictitious character's middle name. We're talking middle names here....

I would be willing to bet that the majority of Americans don't associate the name "Walker" with an enemy of the United States... but I would also bet the same amount when people here Hussein they do.

Rob- So kids shouldn't be taught that certain touches by adults are inappropriate?

Sounds like "sex education".

I think not. A smear is a smear. Obama himself never said anything about 5 years olds getting condoms or sex ed you got in high school. YOU MADE THAT UP!

That bullshit -- Obama supported what he called age appropriate sex education for first graders -- so my witty and obvioulsy memorable headline, "What's Next, Kinderkarten Kondoms?" was an attempt to show how ridiculous the idea of age appropriate sex education for children that young was in the first place.

It wasn't a smear of obama, it was a humorous headline that led a serious topic about parent's rights and what kind of material should nad should not be taught to young children and adolescents.

It is a topic that is in the news often.

And in fact, only a few months after I raised the issue in that thread -- we now have some schools proposing to hand out Birth Control to pre-teens without parental consent.

So you can spin my intent all you want -- I really don't care --but an issue like parental rights in education where there is a great ideological divide between democrats and republicans -- should be talked about, debated and discussed here.

Shame, SHAME on your people Corky!!!!!!!!! Hehe

ROB

What were your parents thinking when they named gave you 'THE' for your middle name and 'ASSHOLE' for your last? LOL

Like they ask right after the spank on the butt to get us breathing, 'What would you like your name to be, son?"

Rob- So kids shouldn't be taught that certain touches by adults are inappropriate?

I don't associate that with sex eduacation as much as I associate it with teaching children to be safe and stay away from strangers.

Also now that I'm a parent, I more then ever see that as my job, not the job of some public school teacher (not that she'll be in public schools) in between nap time and cookie time.

an attempt to show how ridiculous the idea of age appropriate sex education for children that young was in the first place.

OK. Don't teach your 5 year olds that adults touching their groin is bad.

It would be sex ed, and that's BAD for 5 year olds.

PS Saddam Hussein is dead last I heard.

What were your parents thinking when they named gave you 'THE'

Its an acronym for The Hottest Embryo...

I looked good in the ultrasounds...

Most bad touches come from people close to a child. Not strangers.

It's sex ed.

It would be sex ed, and that's BAD for 5 year olds.

Posted by Alexandrite

But here's the problem... Why did Obama say it if he meant this? this is taught in schools... everyone is told to look out for strangers or yell for an adult if someone is trying to touch them or take them... I was taught that, I'm sure most people were...

So if its already taught, why did Obama need to say he wanted it? I think maybe you're interpreting what he said to include the Safety courses...

Most bad touches come from people close to a child. Not strangers.

It's sex ed.

Posted by Alexandrite

Its a Safety Course... and its already taught in schools... no need to mention it if this is what he meant... clearly he meant some sort of education as to where babies come from.

And you want Rudy since you seem to think he has the best chance of winning. It can't be for rudy's good qualities...those have to be dug for.

Dug for? Just scratch Rudy's surface and you find a mayor that literally turned around a city that was deemed ungovernable completely around and made it into a mecca for business and tourism again, and a place that people wanted to live and work in again. Scratch the surface and you find a former prosecutor that broke up the mob and put insider traders in jail in a way noone had before.

Neither Hillary or Obama can close to matching Rudy's record of accomplishment.

Neither Hillary or Obama can close to matching Rudy's record of accomplishment.

Neither of them have a record... so its not really a fair comparison to Rudy

I agree -- The "Don't talk to Strangers" message has been taught for 50 years and is part of a 'safety" message not sexual education.

Neither of them have a record... so its not really a fair comparison to Rudy

That's true -- they have no accomplishments really to speak of. Obama is a first term senator who misses a lot of important votes so he doesn't have to go on record with a position. And Hillary is a mediocre senator and former first lady who believes that just because she was married to the President, that gives her the experience to be President.

Hmmm....maybe the wives of the NY Yankees should play next year instead of the NY Yankees. let's see how that works out for them.

LOL

clearly he meant some sort of education as to where babies come from.

In your opinion.

And bowa- strangers molest kids less often than family do, moron.

Teaching kids about bad touches could be contrued as sex ed. And it seems that it is by the puritans here.

What about American Taliban - John WALKER Lindh? Coincidence? I think not.

Another good one... clearly when anyone hears the name Walker they think Muslim Extremist...

When they hear the name Hussein they think Midwestern Banker.

Rudy couldn't win anything if had to run in NY. The people there hate his guts for that record of "accomplishments" he has.

If Obama and Hillary want to catch up to rudy, they need to screw mistresses in 9-11 bunkers and have the local police force walk their mistresses dog.

In your opinion

No, the education you are talking about is already being taught... has been since I was little...

So if the education exists why would he call for it? It would be like if he called for "age appropriate" math classes...

He meant sex education in the traditonal sense of the course.

"When they hear the name Hussein they think Midwestern Banker."

How about the late King Hussein of Jordan, a friend and ally of the United States in later years?

BTW I think the whole "rudy thong" thing that a former poster here was selling is perfect.

Rudy is indeed a whore.

He kicked their butt every which way but sunday.

No, you're right rob. Obama wants a 5 year old to understand the inner working of a uterus.

That's EXACTLY what he said and what he meant! But kidding aside you were right, "age appropriate" was a bad term to use on Obama's part. It requires the voting populace to use common sense and not put words into his mouth, and as you have demonstrated, that was a big error.

The people don't hate his guts but the Lefty media and liberal elite sure do.

I'm not a member of either one. I think he's an unbelievably corrupt asshole.

Bowa- Rudy "kicked the butt" of the media in NY because if they so much as hinted that they weren't big fans of his, he would lock them out completely.

THat shit works when you're the mayor of one area. Not when you're a political candidate, which is why all these stories are coming out about Rudy now.

All the people he's Fucked over in the last decade are thrilled that they have a national stage in which to air Rudy's dirty laundry. And all they have to do is tell the truth about the little creep.

No, you're right rob. Obama wants a 5 year old to understand the inner working of a uterus

Now whos putting words in someone's mouth?

The education you are talking about ALREADY EXISTS!!! So why would Obama propose that? Like I said, it would be the equivolent of proposing "age appropriate" math. So since the education you are talking about already exists, what is left but some trype of discussion about where babies come from? Where is that lacking in common sense? I'm not saying he wants it to be detailed with pictures and video and such, but clearly he did not mean what you are saying he did.

Because it doesn't exist everywhere. And not all parents let their children be a part of it.

You're an idiot.

What were your parents thinking when they named gave you 'THE' for a middle name?

If they're looking over your shoulder they certainly haven't seen you 'at work' all day have they? I wouldn't worry. Besides, it's only your ultrasound pic anyway asshole (last name)

Because it doesn't exist everywhere

I have never heard of a kid not being taught, or being held out of a class where they say don't let anyone touch you on your private parts.

That's just silly... Every kid is taught that...

Hillary is going to kill her own campaign which is good for the dems because if she got the nomination she would be a surefire loser to Rudy. Obama has a much better chance than her. Obama would make a better prez anyways. Hillary would be no better than Bush.

Dumb fuck, IT departments can check internet history and people clicking on "Bigfatbooty.com" could get a lot of people in trouble, not just me, but anyone who clicks on it...

I'm in IT, so its not going to affect me, but you could get other posters in trouble... don't fucking do it.

While you're at it how about dealing with the 'fuckwads' and 'fucking assholes' (ROB's words not mine) while you're at it?

How is the picture of two buttcheeks PORN? I can't see an asshole, set of balls, or a twat in that pic.

Quit whining, rob. I'm sure if your boss fires you for bad cookies AU's pic will be the most tasteful one.

And it's not like you're working anyway.

I hope both Rudy and Hillary go away. Nothing would please me more.

Yeah rob...You really care about other people getting in trouble.

Caring about strangers is not your strong suit.

Man, that's a fat booty. I think IT nerds would laugh at it. The only people that would get reported would be assholes their looking to reprimand anyway.

I agree with Plum and Rob. Many companies have software which flags certain sites and sends a message to IT when someone goes to a site on the list.

People can get fired for going on one of those sites, so even though you were trying to be funny, please don't link to sites like that where an unexpecting drudgie can click on it and get a notice from IT (which will go in their file) that they visited an "inappropriate" site.

I'm not sure which we have more of: 1) obvious righties who deny ever voting for Bush; or 2) obvious lefties who say "what makes you think I'm a Democrat?"

OK I"ll avoid linking like that in the future. No problem.

I recalled the 'Zarqawi meets the first of his 72 virgins' pic someone posted of a 500 chick on top of a skinny guy which didn't raise any shackles. Far grosser. But, I get the point.

You're alright, AU. Few on this site show such respect.

I said in a thread the other day this type of stuff would happen (I thought it would be from the GOP though) and I got called a racist, or a race baiter... bunch of other shit...

So to sum up, go fuck yourselves Dethspud and AmericanUnity

Actually Turdburgler (tm) You sed that the GOP was gonna run a teevee ad wherein the GOPhers were gonna try to make a connection between Islamic terrorists and Barack Hussein Obama's middle name.

Spud sed that if they tried something that stupid it would backfire and they would have their asses handed to them.

Spud still sez that.

In this case this Hill worker forwarded (w/o comment) an offensive and blatently false chain e-mail that has already been widely discredited and wot was the consequence? She got shit-canned for it.

Spud 1 Rob 0

If she had not sent the smear w/o comment and had actually put the explanation that this was an already discredited tactic that Hill workers should seriously avoid or sommat she would not have lost her job or even deserved to.

As it is her after the fact explanations do not hold water and she deserves her fate.

They say the devil is in the details.

They also say God is there too.

They're both right.

So... to sum up.

Get bent you evil, racist, Sphincter Thief (tm)

Be Well.

PS: All that sed, as much as it kills Spud to do so Rob actually, sorta, kinda had a bit of a point later on in the thread. When Spud links to naked pix or questionable material Spud puts some kind of warning in the post just so that folk playing along from work don't get in trouble over it. The fact that when you hover over the link you can clearly see it goes to a site called BigFatBooty should be enuff of an indicater to the average lefty hereabouts. Spud is more concerned with the more clueless RT's getting in trouble. The Drudge Retort is kinda like one big, crazy, disfunctional family in a weird kinda way and nobody should have to suffer from showing up.

PPS: In case you were only reading every fourth word trying to break the code or sommat that was Spud entering that hotbed of progressive politcal discussion, the Drudge Retort, as ya do.

You're just pissy cuz I was right... Obama's race and name are going to be a major part of this campaign...

Even though this email is completely wrong, and totally discredited, people are hearing about it again... How many times has it been proven that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11? When polled on the subject people still associate the two, don't they?

The more Barak Hussein Obama is associated with stories like this the more people are going to associate him with Islam... that ain't good if you want to be President of the United States of America.

How many times has it been proven that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11? When polled on the subject people still associate the two, don't they?

Amazing what liars can accomplish by telling the same lie so many times the gullible 44% suck it up. Started out at like 14%.

No, they never actually said the one was responsible for the other... in fact Bush came out and said Hussein wasn't connected with the attacks, but when you keep saying it, eventually people will associate the two anyways...

The same will happen to Barak Hussein Obama... By the time next Novemeber comes around I would bet around 40-50% think he is a muslim.

Even though this email is completely wrong, and totally discredited, people are hearing about it again...

That's politics in 2007. No candidate is immune from mudlinging and smears. If there is even one kernel of truth to latch onto -- then it will be amplified and blown out of proportion. In this case, Obama;s father and stepfather were born Muslim, His grandfather was a devout Muslim, he spent his early years in a predominantely Muslim country, and he has a muslim/arab name (Barack is from the Arabic "baracka" which means blessed).

So because of that, Obama's opponents are going to do everything they can to make people believe that his connection to Islam is much deeper then it actually is.

Politics as usual.

-there is even one kernel of truth to latch onto -- then it will be amplified and blown out of proportion

Bowa being a prime example of exactly this, even on this thread.

Thursday, December 06, 2007

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows Barack Obama within seven points of Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. It's Clinton 33%, Obama 26%, Edwards 15%, and Bill Richardson at 6%. (see recent daily numbers). These figures mark the second time in a week that Obama has pulled to within single digits of Clinton. Clinton leads by fifteen percentage points among white voters but trails by nine among all other voters.

New data released today shows that Clinton has lost her lead over Obama in the South Carolina Primary

I doubt it will matter. People are smarter than the 44% who fell for Bush and Co's BS about Saddam and Al Qaeda

Yes. I think racism will have more to do with an Obama defeat if he's the nominee and loses the election.

Isn't that essentially a racist position to take -- concluding at this early date that it is impossible for Obama to lose on his own merits or the merits of his opponent -- and that if he does lose it must be primarily because of racism?

AU, it's sad that you must see Obama only in terms of his skin color.

Ya, I'm sure you are kidding. His contemporaries from both sides of the aisle describe him as a real unitor. He's smart as they come, principled, and someone I think a lot of. Coming from a lower middle class background and raised by a single mom, someone who's learned from his mistakes and really made something of himself - by himself - is very respectable.

I plan on voting for Obama. That's how much his black half matters to me

AU, I apparently have a lot more faith in race relations in this country then you do. In fact, I stopped thinking about Obama's race a long time ago. it is irrelevant to me, as it is to most Americans I believe.

I think that this election, like the 2000, and 2004 elections will be decided by a very small margin -- a single percentage point -- and if Obama does lose then it won't be primarily because of racism. In fact, I think that Obama will be the favorite if he wins the democratic nomination.

And while I acknowledge that there are of course going to be some people who vote against Obama becuase of his race, there will also be some people who vote for Obama because of his race -- and I think both groups who are racially motivated in their votes will represent only a small part of the total and tend to cancel each other out.

The very large majority of Americans are going to vote for President on the candidate's merits, their party, their experience, and the vision they have for America.

-Isn't that essentially a racist position to take

Analysis of the political implications of race does not imply racism to the analyst.

Colin Powell, a very popular republican war hero, apparently decided that the country was not ready then, and unfortunately, there are still a large number of Southern whites who wouldn't vote for a Yankee Liberal from NY, much less a black.

But more than in the South, and forgetting about race, there are Americans everywhere who won't vote for someone who is to the Left politically of that well known Socialist, Hillary Clinton.

-The very large majority of Americans are going to vote for President on the candidate's merits, their party, their experience, and the vision they have for America.

The swing voters are going to vote, with all of about 12 minutes worth of analysis, for the brand they recognize best.

Many of these still have never heard of Obama, or have only heard the name. Many of these also will pull the lever for Clinton without much cognition that this isn't exactly the same Clinton as before.

Ever watch Jay Leno street interviews?

Know what I mean?

Analysis of the political implications of race does not imply racism to the analyst.

That depends on what the analysis is of course. In this case it did imply that the analyst, AU, had staked out a racist position by making such a sweeping and definitive conclusion about an election 11 months from now.

BOWA

I started out in high school playing in funk bands in the inner city of Detroit when race relations weren't so peachy keen. Me and colorblindedness go way back. My whole career in music has been a rainbow experience.

Sadly though there are still people who wouldn't vote for a 'black' man no matter what. Ah, we'll see what happens.

I predicted a few weeks ago it would be an Obama/Huckabee contest. Ah, we'll see what happens.

By the way, I was just in NYC for a few days. Again, I'm impressed with what Rudy did for that city. A lot of it was seemingly small misdemeanor stuff like littering. Manhatten is pretty darn clean. The other burroughs are fairing pretty well these days as Manhattan rent has skyrocketed out of sight for all but the best wage earners. Even in the Bronx, apartments that were purchased for $100 are now worth $300,000. The cities across the river like Hoboken and Jersey City have seen a massive resurgence as well. Better views too. My buddy lives on the 31st floor of a new building with sweeping views over the Hudson of all of Manhattan. It looked like Christmas every night.

Know what I mean?

Wow, Corky. I am feeling pretty good right now -- I obviously have a lot more faith in the American people then both you and AU do -- and I am far less cynical.

Ever watch Jay Leno street interviews?

Know what I mean?

CORKY

Sadly yes. It's amazing that young people who grew up in pretty good surroundings seem as dumb as rocks. Of course, they probably pick the worst of the worst to air but still..... Even on that faux game show Leno does the ignorance of some is blaring.

I obviously have a lot more faith in the American people then both you and AU do -- and I am far less cynical.

BOWA

Sorry dude. When America put George W Bush in office twice they showed that some of us have every reason to be cyincal. The fact that so many bought Bush and Co's bullshit hook line and sinker - and continue to do so - will make one cynical too.

Not only that, but Bowow voted for GW twice, right?

I don't know why anyone would listen to him on politics at all.

-That depends on what the analysis is of course. In this case it did imply that the analyst, AU, had staked out a racist position by making such a sweeping and definitive conclusion about an election 11 months from now.

Posted by Bowa

This is why no one feels the need to make you look ridiculous. You don't need any help.

- I obviously have a lot more faith in the American people

Those rose-colored glasses need a new prescription.

I started out in high school playing in funk bands in the inner city of Detroit when race relations weren't so peachy keen. Me and colorblindedness go way back. My whole career in music has been a rainbow experience.

I grew up in an almost entirely black neighborhood. My best friends were black, my worst enemies were black, in short I learned very early on that skin color means absolutely nothing. I also learned that "racism" comes in all colors. As a a guy from the northeast, I can't speak to the racism that some people beleive is still central to many americans lives. It is not part of my experience. Even when I was in the navy, and people from all over the country -- from inner city detroit, from the whitest parts of nebraska -- were forced to live in close quarters months at a time -- I never witnessed any racism. And that was more then 20 years ago.

So when you make a comment like "Yes, I think racism will have more to do with an Obama defeat if he's the nominee and loses the election" it is contrary to the evidence I see in the news of his campaign, and also contrary to my own personal experience.

You're mincing words. My statement implied that more people will vote against him because of his skin color than his middle name.

Sorry dude. When America put George W Bush in office twice they showed that some of us have every reason to be cyincal. The fact that so many bought Bush and Co's bullshit hook line and sinker - and continue to do so - will make one cynical too.

Well AU, I guess you got me -- I agree, the people who didn't vote for Bush do have a reason to be cynical. After all, I was cynical too when Clinton won twice.

It's going to be interesting to see how histopry looks at the Bush Presidency 20 years from now -- he will either be cursed as the person that lit the fuse on WW3 or he will be the prescient hero that found a way to defeat Islamo-Fascism before it exploded into WW3 and killed hundreds of millions of people.

and also contrary to my own personal experience.

Sadly, most people have not had mine or your experience with other races.

I once took a group of friends to Puerto Vallarta. Two older white couples from a wealthy burb, a white yuppie couple, black couple, interracial couple, two gay men, and two single women. These were people without a lot of experience with people of other races or persuasions. The first meeting was funny for me to watch. The wide eyes as they saw each other join the table.

Long story short, we had a fantastic trip, traipsed through the jungle, and still get together 20 years on. All people need is their own personal experience to shed preconceived notions garnered from second or third hand stories about some other group of people.

Of course Beever isnt a racist. just ask his wife shown here getting reedy for church with little Beever: cache.viewimages.com and she'll tell you Beever isn't a racist or a race baiter.
Obviously the women in the picture you link, is wearing a burka.

Who is she being a racist against?

PS They were all friends os mine who didn't know each other until we took the trip.

You're mincing words. My statement implied that more people will vote against him because of his skin color than his middle name.

AU, I disagree with that as well -- I think nowadays a lot more Americans are anti-Muslim then they are anti-Black. And his name is problematic because it lends itself to all the worst types of smears and lies.

Which is why he could win the Dem primary and fail miserably in the general election.

Hillary Haters, as many of them as there are, are still less numerous, in my opinion, than the number of fearful Americans the GOP can slanderously create with Obama's perceived political weak points.

The first meeting was funny for me to watch. The wide eyes as they saw each other join the table.

AU, One of the strangest differences between when I was growing in the 1970's and now is that there is no difference in the mannerisms between blacks and whites growing up in the same neighborhood.

If I had 'acted black" in my neighborhood, I would have been totally ridiculed -- not that there was that much "gangster" slang and talk back then --everyone pretty much acted the same regardless of color -- but if I had started to try to talk different and use certain phrases-- I would have been ranked on and made fun of without mercy. On the other hand, we all could tell racial and ethnic jokes to each other -- black, polish, italian, irish -- without fear of being branded racist or bigoted like today.

Gennifer Flowers mulls vote for Clinton

LAS VEGAS - The one-time other woman in Hillary Rodham Clinton's life says she's considering casting her vote for the former first lady. "I can't help but want to support my own gender, and she's as experienced as any of the others -- except maybe Joe Biden," Gennifer Flowers said in a recent telephone interview from her home in Las Vegas.

As a Judy Ruliani supporter, you better hope to hell they don't, or your "guy" doesn't have a chance.

The questions concerning Mr. Obama's early indoctrination with Wahhabiism is over. He did attend those schools as a youth, but apparently that particular maddrassa funded by the Saudi Wahhabis did NOT promulgate any Islamic doctrine (since they were prescient and knew that a future candidate for the U.S. Presidency was in attendance there), so Mr. Obama does not have an inkling concerning the nature of Islam. His father was an Islamic. His stepfather was an Islamic. His mother was an atheist-agnostic sort, who was attracted to "men of color."

Mr. Obama's grandparents raised Mr. Obama in Hawaii, and he attended a decent private school. He mingled with Americans in an American environment.

It is unfair to smear Mr. Obama as a person subject to Islamic discipline. He was a doper and drinker as are so many American youth. Mr. Obama was thoroughly acculturated, and his early exposure to lesser breeds without the law," was overcome by favorable conditions in the environment in which he was later reared.

All of the Islamic relationship controversy is cleared up since the matter was investigated and the determination made by CNN that the allegations had no merit.

I don't know about you folks, but CNN is a reputable source for me if it clears one of Ms Hillary's opponents since I thought that it favored Ms. Hillary.

I certainly don't regard Mr. Obama as a stealth candidate, a Manchurian Candidate, devoted to advancing the interests of Islam and the umma rather than those of the United States.

I do have concerns with Mr. Obama. One is his membership in a racist black separatist church in Chicago. That's voluntary, and an election made as an adult. But that and the consequences of his heavy hard drug use, brain damage, possibility of flashbacks and the like, are other considerations unrelated to fallacious accusations relating to his association with and allegiance to Islam.

Didn't a recent poll indicate that only 1%, or was it 10%, of Americans would consider an Islamic for presidential office. So, if that smear stuck, it would greatly decrease Mr. Obama's chances for election. His involvement with racism and drug use are other matters, apparently not nearly as detrimental to his candidacy.

When will the "really" heavy artillery come out, and report investigations into Mr. Obama's corruption, misuse of office or influence?

There are easons not to enter politics. Having a hangnail considered and reconsidered, can result in it being akin to a capital offense in terms of how demeaning such a condition is. Who could stand such scrutiny. We all have foibles, or matters that can be represented as foibles.

I see so many young white guys with their pants around their knees talking like gangstas.

That is one "style" I never understood. Guess I'm old. Ironic that youth who pride themselves on rebelling against authority would a adopt a jailhouse fashion that was not the choice of the incarcerated but had had been forced on them by "the man".

Who could stand such scrutiny. We all have foibles, or matters that can be represented as foibles.

That is one reason why many good people shy away from politics.

One is his membership in a racist black separatist church in Chicago.

Johnson, What do you mean "black separatist Church"? That is the first time I've ever heard that accusation made.

JOHNSON

Having done coke more than a time or two in my younger days touring with well known rock acts, I can assure you there are no flashbacks. LSD is the only drug ever claimed to produce such a delayed reaction, and that with only use in the hundreds of times.

Secondly, I was a memeber in the United Church of Christ, which is about as radical as Methodist of Presbyterian.

I would think graduating in the top 10% of both Columbia University and Harvard Law School would lay any brain damage claims to rest. By his sophmore year at Columbia he was no longer drinking or doing any drugs.

I would vote for Obama in a minute over any of the Repubes in a general election.

I do think he has been running for Pres for his 3 years in the Senate, he misses votes to campaign then castigates others for their vote, he has used PAC money to buy endorsements contrary to FEC rules, and he would take the first year to gather the kind of staff that Clinton could put together in a couple of months.

But regardless of nonsense like Johnson's about drugs and Islam, that will be just the beginning of the Swift-Boating he will get from the NeoGOP in a general election.

He has gotten pretty much a pass from the press and his opponents so far in the primary.

CORKY

I would guess your preferred Dem prez candidate has missed as many votes. She's also been running for president a tad longer starting with a Senate run.....

I'll vote for her if she's the nominee

She hasn't missed votes then condemned others who did vote. She also worked very hard as a first term Sen, gaining the respect of her state and both Dems and Repubs in the Sen. She started running in the second term.

If I were from Illinois, I would want my vote back from Barack.

I obviously have a lot more faith in the American people then both you and AU do -- and I am far less cynical.

Thinking that Bush was the best you could do in 2000 and then 2004 is the very definition of cynical.

Johnson, What do you mean "black separatist Church"? That is the first time I've ever heard that accusation made.

Nephew, please.

Seriously Bowa the fuckhedZ at Fox NoiZe have been hammering away at Obama on this issue fer almost a year at this point.

It is a black church that Obama attends in the sense that the membership is mostly but not completely black. Racist? The roots of such churches in America can be traced to white racism that forced blacks to form their own segregated churches for so long. They preach a positive message to their mostly black members and make statements that if you substituted the word black for th eword white might sound like racism to anyone not familiar with the history of sed churches. They are not seperatists as has been claimed. The other famous member of the flock in the church is, of course, Oprah.

Spud's heard a load of shit from the RT's regarding Obama's religious convictions. First the patently absurd Muslim Mole theory brought out by Fox until they were discredited. The Wahabist Muslim thing until somebody found out that the Wahabbists don't actually fund madrasses in Indonesia. The born-again Evangelist with scary end times beliefs BS would be less funny if it didn't actually apply to the ass-wipes currently in power. Now it's the big scary "black seperatist" church nonsense.

Spud thinks that Barack Obama is a principled man who's soul has not yet been bought out by the powerful special interests who largely run DC and that that is the primary reason fer all the innaccurate mud-slinging to date.

Spud thinks that there is nobody on the right who can make such a claim except fer Ron Paul and that only Dennis Kucinich on the left has equal integrity.

Only Obama is electable.

Obama '08.

Be Well.

PS: Seriously, you've never seen any of Fox's many hit-pieces on BHO on this topic?

Here's Yawn Hamn'cheeZ trying some character assasination.

Johnson - this will now be the 4th time I've called you on that false charge. 3 times you ran away and hid until you though no one would remember. Will you finally put up or shut up the 4th time?

Here's something a bit closer to the truth.

www.christiancentury.org

One excerpt from the article:

"Wright's critics completely ignore America's history of racism as well as the impact of the civil rights movement and the struggles of the black church to communicate the gospel's relevance in the black community. Perhaps, as one blogger suggests, the attacks on Wright and Trinity are not even "meant to stand up to scrutiny." They are merely designed to tie Obama to images of "the black bogeyman." As with the Swiftboating of John Kerry, it does not matter that the claims are false as long as they are out there."

SPUD

I mentioned in an above post that I was a memver of the United Church of Christ, which started in England (according to the minister). Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheren would be comparable denominations.

I am also a member of The United Church of Christ.

The denomination was formed over 50 years ago when the old Congregationalists and the Reformed church united.
You may remember the Congregationalists were prominent in the "Amistad" trials. They were the first abolitionists.

They also ordained the first Black pastor in 1785, the first woman pastor in 1853, and the first openly gay pastor in 1972.

"You may remember the Congregationalists were prominent in the "Amistad" trials."

Interesting.
The linguist who translated the African language was named Gibbs.
His son invented the mathematical notation used today for Maxwell's Equations.

So then, it would appear that the title of this thread is apropo to our Mr. Johnson. Although he could certainly not be classified as a Clinton volunteer, he absolutely jumped in to try and smear Obama.

So 4 times you have not been able to answer the challenge on Obama's church. I guess mainly because, well, its a lie.

And should you wish to continue to float the Indonesian madrasah lie, you should probably first know that the term refers to BOTH religious AND secular schools. And another quick FYI - my partner of 12 years is Indonesian. My in-laws live in Jakarta, and are familiar with that particular school. Be glad to discuss just how "radical" it is with you.

I liked the United Church of Christ. The only reason I don't attend anymore is I moved and there isn't one in my vinicity.

We had banners on the sanctuary walls like "God is Love', 'Let there be Peace on Earth'. Christian principles that I believe.

Very friendly church.

My minister may have been referring to the Reformed Church in England as the root of the UCoC. Anyway, that was quite a few years ago.

UCC's motto now is "God is Still Speaking"

We just have to listen, I guess.

I see the coward Johnson is lurking on other threads, but hasn't had the balls (for the 4th time) to come back and face up to his lies.

As you will note, the church is preoccupied with "blackness," something not suitable for someone who seeks to lead "all Americans." It indicates a focus that could be inimicable to the needs of "all Americans."

Here is a link to another site that comments on the church that Mr. Obama attends, and displays some of the literature they sell.

Regarding Trinity Church

Trinity Church (partial statement): We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian ... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism.

Do we need a man so focused on blackness as the leader of America?

I'm not even for this purpose deriding some of the questionable claims. but I suggest that there has been an imbalance in the shaping of Mr. Obama.

I don't claim "credibility," Mr. AMERICANUNITY. I'll let the church speak for itself.

Do we need a man so focused on blackness as the leader of America?

JOHNSON

You mean the guy raised by his white mother and white grandparents?

You sure sound like a closed minded racist. Adios amigo ('goodbye' in Wetback to interpret for ya)

From their webpage which you linked...

The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:

1. A congregation committed to ADORATION.
2. A congregation preaching SALVATION.
3. A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.
4. A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.
5. A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.
6. A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.
7. A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.
8. A congregation committed to LIBERATION.
9. A congregation committed to RESTORATION.
10. A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY

Sounds just horrendous to me. Boy howdy.

Wright regularly preaches on the Black community's need to be more family centered, keeping black families intact, eliminating internalized feelings of inferiority, reducing crime in the Black community, relying on self instead of others to achieve equality and parity.

Wow, all things he should be ashamed of, I guess.

So is it the fact that Trinity and Wright keep African heritage and culture alive that offends you so much, or is it that Wright doesn't like Bush?

You Johnson, are the racist, as well as a liar.

Johnson-
Just out of curiosity, and I doubt that you would have the balls to answer this question, but:

Are blacks genetically inferior to whites?

Well done, AU.

Thank you for your declaration, Rogue. I suspect that you believe that it's conclusive.

You've cherry-picked the positions of the church and the opinions of the Pastor. If you were interested in learning his positions rather than providing kneejerk support to Mr. Obama, your observations would be more meaningful.

I suspect that the opinions of the Pastor are consistent with your own. He has issued many activist statements. I'll lsit some below. Upon review, Mr. Obama is a race hustler in the good old Jesse Jackson - Al Sharpton tradition.

Here is some material issued by the Pastor. It's just an excerpt. but if you were interested, you could enlighten yourself. I suspect that nothing in the realm of opinion could affect you. You seem to be in the transitory madness state of a lover, whose view is trhough rose-colored glasses, and nothing could cause you to disavow your love.

I wonder how Mr. Obama's Jew supporters will react when they learn of the long-standing anti-Israel and anti-Jewish venom issued by his Pastor? I think someone should notify some Jewish organization.

But non-Jewish lefties should continue to love him.

I know AU. I thought that was a VERY interesting site that said much, much more about Johnson(less) than he intended to reveal.

We are dealing here with a person of copious quantities of verbiage, an amazing lack of honesty, and virtually 0 scruples.

If you read that piece in Christian Century I linked, you'll get a pretty good analysis of what Trinity and Wright are about. Wright is a sought after guest-lecturer at Seminaries all over the country - Methodist, Lutheran, Episcopal and others. I hardly think he would be real popular if we was a racist and a Black separatist.

"copious quantities of verbiage, an amazing lack of honesty, and virtually 0 scruples."

I have to say it is kind of scary that Obama belongs to a church that is "true to our native land" (Africa) and has a "non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA." but no commitment whatsoever to the United States of America.

The failure of those belonging to this congregation to have any expressed allegiance to America is very discouraging, and it would make me wary of any Presidential candidate that professes to be the President of the United States of America yet belongs to a church that professes instead a "a "non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.".

I meant "The failure of those belonging to this congregation to have any expressed allegiance to America is very discouraging, and it would make me wary of any Presidential candidate that professes to WANT to be the President of the United States of America yet belongs to a church that professes instead ONLY "a "non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA."

"You've cherry-picked the positions of the church and the opinions of the Pastor"

Cherry picked? I just posted the 10 principles of the church that were on the very first page of the link YOU provided.

"I wonder how Mr. Obama's Jew supporters..."

JEW supporters!!! Wow.

And as to your "list". You provide no link, and certainly no context. But what of what you posted, there are a couple of potentially controversial points, but nothing "shocking".

Oh, and by the way, who ever told you a congregant must agree with 100% of everything his/her pastor says? I certainly don't agree 100% with mine. And Obama has said he doesn't agree 100% with Wright on everything.

You are exceptionally intellectually dishonest, sir.

You sure sound like a closed minded racist. Adios amigo ('goodbye' in Wetback to interpret for ya)
No, hombre, I can sort of get along in Spanish. In fact, I'm fairly fluent. Thanks, however, for your kindness in volunteering to be helpful.

If finding a man with a focus on racism, blackness, a black struggle, alienated from the mainstream, and embracing such ideas as illustrated by the company he seeks is your definition of "racism," that's okay. It reminds me of a cartoon that I saw today in which "Wolf" (in the form of global warming, global colling, oil crisis, etc.) had been cried so often that it lost its effect.

The term "racism" does not deter me from voicing my opinion. Your definition of racism is hackneyed and trite. But put it out there. The more you use it improperly, the less meaning it has. But that's your choice. You try to deflect legitimate issues by designating them taboo.

Nice spin, San -- but that's not the way the website reads at all. What part of "non-negotiable" didn't you understand. And also "politics" are a part of culture and heritage? Thelines are blurred San. For example, how can you separate our American culture from the founding fathers, the Contistuion, the Declaration, etc. etc. You can't.

That is a very disturbing homepage for the church that Obama belongs to -- and if he's not questioned during the primary campaign about his membership in a Church whose loyalties are with Afro-centrism instead of America , then he is sure to be questioned about it in the general election.

Sort of put Obama's refusal to put his hand over his heart during the National Anthem into perspective -- maybe his heart doesn't belong to the USA but to Africa.

AU - he posted 2 links. One of them was for the special racist site, and one was for Trinity.

Bill Gates and many others also have a 'Commitment to Africa' in the form of AIDS funding, builidng hospitals and schools.

That's a BIG deal? LNAO

Posted by SanAntonioRogue at 2007-12-06 08:07 PM

Cherry picked? I just posted the 10 principles of the church that were on the very first page of the link YOU provided.
Right. You ignored additional content. And you seemingly did not check the other site that had a critical examination of Trinity as well as commentary both pro and con.
"I wonder how Mr. Obama's Jew supporters..."

JEW supporters!!! Wow.
Well, many prominent Jews have come out to support him. I wonder how familiar they are with the tenets of his Pastor, some of which I posted. I wonder if they recognize the prospect of Israel being down the sewer if Mr. Obama prevails?
And as to your "list". You provide no link, and certainly no context.
Oh, but I did. And the list is provided on the other site to which I did link. You declined to waste your time by looking. You didn't even make a superficial perusal of the material that I provided.
But what of what you posted, there are a couple of potentially controversial points, but nothing "shocking".
What's controversial in your opinion?

It sounds as if it were a to the left lefty's wet dream with its assault on Mr. Bush. And it continues with its "anti-Semitic (better than Jew for the PC) insinuations. They've been bad. Really bad. And their struggle for survival among the 7th century folk in their vicinity is given short shrift. Of course, this is in the true tradition of Jessie (Hymietown) Jackson, and Bullhorn Al (riot and burn down that Jew store) Sharpton.
Oh, and by the way, who ever told you a congregant must agree with 100% of everything his/her pastor says? I certainly don't agree 100% with mine. And Obama has said he doesn't agree 100% with Wright on everything.
Whoever said that a KKK member must agree with all of the tenets of the KKK? But when you examine the "company he keeps," he may project a certain aura.

If my Pastor were to go contrary to my sincerely held beliefs on a continuing basis, and if it were his theme, I'd discuss it with him. If we could not reconcile, I'd leave the church. By his continued attendance, Mr. Obama has adopted his Pastor's beliefs.
You are exceptionally intellectually dishonest, sir.
And just how is that Rogue? Anything specific?

JOHNSON

OK, I have to fess up.

When I was growing up our church collected money in Sunday School to send to Africa. Yes, we had a commitment to Africa. I actually donated half my paper route proceeds to it. We had slide shows of poor African kids we sponsored. We had missionaries come and tell us what we could and should do to help if we could.

THERE!. I feel better getting that off of my chest.

(Psst. A LOT of evangelical churches have a commitment to Africa. SHAME ON THEM!!)

Mr. Obama seeks everyone's indulgence.

Can I help it if I am
Just an Afrocentric man?

No, you can't help it Mr. Obama, nor should you attempt to not be Afrocentric. But that certainly does not recommend you to be President of the United States of America.

Bill Gates and many others also have a 'Commitment to Africa' in the form of AIDS funding, builidng hospitals and schools. That's a BIG deal? LNAO

AU, Bill Gates makes his commitment to Africa part of his religiion? That's news to me.

Also, has Bill Gates expressed a desire to represent all Americans as the Presidnet of the United States while belonging to a church that went out of their way to profess as a congregation that they are "true to our native land" (Africa) and have a "non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA".

JFK had to assure americans that his allegiance would be to America first and not the Pope. And now Obama belongs to a church that professes a "non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA" while never mentioning any commitment whatsover at all to the United states of America.

That is incredibly disturbing.

"Nice spin, San"

Its not spin Bowa. I've been a member of the UCC for years. I've attended Trinity on more than one occasion when visiting Chicago, and have heard Wright preach, and I have friends who are members. I don't have to spin because I KNOW what they stand for.

So be disturbed if that suits your agenda.

Oh, and just because Obama got caught once not putting his hand on his heart during the anthem does not a diabolical conspiracy make. But if that also suits your agenda, so be it.

Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are another two you should be VERY wary of JOHNSON. They have a commitment to Africa.

AU, the commitment to africa is not the problem per se, it is that this church expresses no interest in or allegiance to the United States of America at all. And they link their Christianity to their afro-centric views -- which inextricably links allegiance to africa with the religious faith of Church's members.

For a candidate for President of the United States to belong to such a church is deeply disturbing.

Are blacks genetically inferior to whites?

I think this whole argument about Obama's church can be summarized by the Merck Manual's 14th Edition definition of a 'Bark' fart:

Ride On-

Johnson didn't answer the question, did he?

Perhaps you would answer it, as Johnson has not the balls to go with his handle -- if you can overcome your obsession with me for a moment, that is.

"...it is that this church expresses no interest in or allegiance to the United States of America at all."

How strange.

Don't seem to remember any commandment requiring an "interest in or allegiance to the United States of America."

Don't seem to remember any teachings of Christ where He said His church must have an "interest in or allegiance to the United States of America" either

On the other hand, that does pretty much describe the Christian Identity movement (church).

Hans

Can anybody on the left here say that?

I find this statement disturbing.

Gotta turn in.

Johnson - When you answer the question as to whether you think blacks are genetically inferior to whites, I'll chime in.

For some reason you find this a difficult question...

I never had a problem with Bush's faith until 'God' told him to invade Iraq. THERE I started to wonder who HIS God was. Surely not the one who's only begotton Son said "Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God" (Matthew 5:9).

War are 'Warmakers'? Sons of ?

I dunno, I find it pretty fucking disturbing that Bush thinks he has a two radio with God, and that God told him to invade iraq.

But that's not really the fault of his faith. That only gives form to his delusions.

Can you do it?

Please be welcome to find on any mainstream denomination's website any 'allegience to the United States'. (Hint: You won't ever find one)

That's what makes this church so disturbing -- they should not be expressing any allegiance to any nation and linking it to their faith-- and yet this church goes out of their way to profess as a congregation that they are "true to our native land" (Africa) and have a "non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA"

And you are being intellectually dishonest if you think that commitment is purely evangelical as opposed to embracing afro-centric dogma and linking it to their faith.

OK I now refer back to the Merck Manual 14th Edition of a 'Bark' fart as it relates to the conversation about Obama's church.

God told me to invade Iraq, Bush tells Palestinian ministers

President George W Bush told Palestinian ministers that God had told him to invade Afghanistan and Iraq - and create a Palestinian State, a new BBC series reveals.

In Elusive Peace: Israel and the Arabs, a major three-part series on BBC TWO (at 9.00pm on Monday 10, Monday 17 and Monday 24 October), Abu Mazen, Palestinian Prime Minister, and Nabil Shaath, his Foreign Minister, describe their first meeting with President Bush in June 2003.

Nabil Shaath says: "President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, "George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan." And I did, and then God would tell me, "George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq ... " And I did. And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, "Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East." And by God I'm gonna do it.'

On the other hand, the dogma of Obama's church makes it clear that they must be "true to our native land" (Africa) and have a "non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA" in which their religious faith is inextricably linked.

You can try to spin all this all you want. But frankly as someone who grew up in a black neighborhood, and whose parents were active in the methodist church whose members were overwhelmingly black (my mother was one of only two white people in the choir) I expected when Johnson had accused Obama of belonging to a "black separitist Church" that he was completely wrong and that he really meant that Obama belonged to a primarily black church like the one I grew up going to- with american flags in the sunday school classrooms, church dinners, and no afro-centric teachings requiring a "non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA" in order to be a member of the Church in good standing.

So you can imagine how shocked I was by the homepage of Obama's church -- whose focus on their "native land" and loyalty and commitment to Africa makes one wonder about what kind of commitment the congregation has to these United States -- or do they have any at all.

I appreciate the adulation give me.

Penis, the source of Eros, begetter of life. Power.

Thank you.

Traditionally "penis envy" was supposedly reserved for women, those without that magnificent male organ, but I suppose some men can envy the virility of others, and the power of others to create life.

Your ambivalence is remarkable. Here you make pejorative remarks concerning the penis and its symbolism, which of course interpreted in terms of psychiatric parlance probably indicates envy.

I'm sure that there comes a time in every man's life when the well runs dry, when the furnaces are damped, and powers wane. But whatever your situation, AMERICANUNITY, cheer up, there is hope for you too. I see ads showing the medical advances that increase the libido of those in whom it has become deficient, or who lamentably may never have naturally experienced full vigor. With help, even the flaccid are said to rise to the occasion. Keep up your hope.

And thank you for the deserved adulation. Eros is the power of life. And Penis is one instrumentality. The insight that you have provided me is quite elating.

Remember AMERICANUNITY, God does not distinguish and loves even the lowest and most base among us. Pray and take your medication, and He shall provide you with succor. I'll pray for you also.

Thanks Hans

Johnson - When you answer the question as to whether you think blacks are genetically inferior to whites, I'll chime in.

For some reason you find this a difficult question...
Well yes, Mr. Cooper, I find the mindset that you express that considers people as genetically superior or inferior to be quite disturbing as it is without context.

I consider superiority or inferiority in terms of establishing a phenotypical creature that has more or less utility in an existing physical and social setting in terms of its survival, maintenance, access to mates for procreation, and actually is able to successfully procreate.

Therefore if malaria, for example, is not treatable, but blacks with a gene for sickle cell anemia, are nevertheless protected from malaria, they are thus superior in that regard in a malaria infested area. Unfortunately, if a person inherits two of those genes, the person succumbs to the anemia, but usually after he has an opportunity to procreate. In such a situation a black with at least one of those genes is superior to a person without that genetically conferred benefit, which I view as a "superiority."

In Tibet, there is a genetic adaptation that enables inhabitants of that plain, who breathe that rarefied air, to survive with less oxygen. In that environment, these Tibetans are certainly "superior" to those not similarly endowed.

I could continue. But I'll wait until you respond so that the question you pose may be addressed in other aspects and greater detail. Maybe you can be more specific concerning the information that you're trying to elicit. Be forthright to promote communication.

Rest easy.

"On the other hand, the dogma of Obama's church makes it clear that they must be "true to our native land" "

Says you, and no one else.

And that has just as much credibility as those who would say Rootie would be subservient to Rome.

Yes, I voted for him in 2000. I didn't vote in 2004.

The same dogma that resides from Obama's church also resides in the Catholic church but you just omit such to pander your political hackery.

The catholic church also goes so far as non-negotiable commitment to vatican just try and get married and tell them you will not raise your children catholic.

You continue to character bash individual candidates that are running opposite your party belief without any reason other than to use pejorical ad hominem as a fundamental moral character flaw.

I would suggest looking in your own back yard of multi-divorced candidate with all the moral character flaws for an entire family network and decide if your intentions actually aline themselves with your actions.

"On the other hand, the dogma of Obama's church makes it clear that they must be "true to our native land" "

Says the guy who thinks Africa is a country.

I dare say no one is particularly surprised that Bowa's is being completely disingenuous by deliberately misinterpreting the whole afro-centric issue, and commitment to Africa as meaning political allegiance, and somehow anti-America.

What is truly "disturbing" is someone like Bowa who suddenly fancies he understands the meaning and intent of an entire church congregation after only an hour or so of reading a few posts on a blog, and a summary on a home page.

"I expected when Johnson had accused Obama of belonging to a "black separitist Church" that he was completely wrong..."

OH, and as I believe the French would say: Bull Shit. You couldn't wait to hop on the bandwagon.

Obama '08.

Be Well.

I had thought otherwise, but after seeing the website of the church Obama belongs to I don't think America will ever vote for a candidate that has membership in a church which states as part of it's mission,

"Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization."

"the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to...a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.

www.tucc.org

Can you imagine if a white candidate for president belonged to a "Euro-centric" church which proclaimed similar loyalties and commitments?

Obama may avoid dealing with this issue during the primaries -- but it will get aired out in the General Election in a big way.

The entire evangelical movement is commited to Africa. They've had missions there for 150 years, and actively raise money to build schools and feed the poor there

AU, you are being intellectually dishonest. Anyone reading the homepage of the Church would never get the idea that the congregations' commitemnt to Africa was purely for missionary purposes. It is far deeper then that -- it professes an allegiance and a commitment to Africa that is far more extensive.

As I said before, I grew up in a black neighborhood, and my parents were active in the almost entirely black methodist church. In fact, my mother was one of only two white people in the choir. And never in all the years I went to Sunday school was a "non-negotiable" commitment to Africa like the one

"It is far deeper then that -- it professes an allegiance and a commitment to Africa that is far more extensive."

Where has Obama pledged similar allegiances, other than the recesses of your mind?

And the Catholic Church has for decades decried condoms in the most AIDS-ravaged parts of the world. Do you lay that at Rudy's feet?

"AU, you are being intellectually dishonest."

Now THAT is priceless!

"Anyone reading the homepage of the Church would never get the idea that the congregations' commitemnt to Africa was purely for missionary purposes. It is far deeper then that --"

But thats pretty much the extent of your knowledge about the whole thing, isn't it? You read the homepage and made a snap judgment.

Of course you didn't have time to read any reasonably objective material on Wright or the church. You've never set foot in the church. You've never heard Wright speak. You've never spoken to anyone who belongs there. But you're the expert, right? You know what is in their hearts.

And you have the cajones to call ANYONE else "intellectually dishonest". Pffffffttttt.

"the congregations' commitemnt to Africa was purely for missionary purposes"

Oh, and its not. As I stated before, they honor and preserve the African culture and heritage. They pay homage to their journey as a people, their struggle, and their survival.

Now who else does something like that? Hmmmm. Let me see...

Oh yeah, the Jewish people. Is that a problem for you too?

"Oh yeah, the Jewish people. Is that a problem for you too?"

I guarantee you it will be for Bowa if Bloomberg runs.

Bowa - you like to banty that little phrase "intellectual dishonesty" about freely. But it is apparent you don't actually understand the concept.

Let me give you a concrete example:

A bit earlier you got all puffed up with righteous indignation over this -

"Sort of put Obama's refusal to put his hand over his heart during the National Anthem into perspective -- maybe his heart doesn't belong to the USA but to Africa."

(By the way, "refusal" is an outright lie)

Then I pointed out that he had been caught in 1 single instance not putting his hand over his heart... and I provided photographic evidence of at least 2 other times that he did.

So did you come back and say something like, "Gee, maybe I overreacted. Maybe I could have been wrong and jumped to a conclusion based on pretty sketchy evidence."

No, you didn't. And that, my friend, is intellectual dishonesty personified.

It's not traditional to put one's hand over the heart while singing the National Anthem.

Wow. The rightie tighties are out of their ever loving minds.

johnson proclaims himself a Christian and considers Huckabee, a Baptist minister too far to the left. Idaho for sure for Johnson.

Both think Africa is a country someone can procalim loyalty to.

What fun!!

You remind me of Popeye the Sailor Man. How's Olive Oyl? How's Sweepea?

Enjoy the campaign.

Both [Bowa and Johnson] think Africa is a country someone can procalim loyalty to.

What fun!!
Are you embarrassed at the fact that you are so infatuated with Mr. Obama that you deny the stated positions of his Pastor, and you also make attributions that are products of your imagination.

I don't recall either Mr. Bowa or I even suggesting that Africa is a country. Do you have any such citation? One of us is daft, you or me. If you have the citation, it's me. If you don't, it's you.

I indicated that Mr. Obama's church was Afrocentric. Africa is a continent. I mention that for your edification. And my reference symbolically is the repeated iterations in the church's doctrine regarding fealty to Africa and the "black" African people, rationalized as it is. So, the Obama doctrine embraces racism and a pan-African concept that embraces all blacks in preference to others.

You can't deal with the reality, so you "shuck and jive" in your attempts to explain the discrepancies between your presentation of Mr. Obama and his church affiliation with his separatist black racist pastor, and the reality. You seem to have established something akin to a political affirmative action program, where you announce your support for Mr. Obama because he is black, notwithstanding the nature of his negritude, and its expression.

Well, what do you expect from "the mind of a leftist" conjure.

The twisting that is going on here with Obama's church is a bit ridiculous...

Who doesn't think Africa needs help and money and more help? The entire continent is a basic picture of shamble.

There are so many churches that want to help Africa.

There are Catholic churches that give homage to the Vatican--another country.

And there are many Christian churches that pray regularly for Israel. In fact it is written in Corinthians to Pray for Israel.

The church that Obama attends is wholeheartedly committed to Africa--so what!

As to this thread---the main thing going on here is that Hillary is going to pieces.

They are now behind in SC--The poll numbers are not yet coming out for the Super Tuesday in February--but I'll be willing to bet they are really bad for Hillary--That is why she has to get this negative stuff out.

She'll lose Iowa, win NH and then lose SC.

And since I am a registered Dem in CA--I get to vote Dem for the primary. I am leaning to Obama--only to put the screws to Hillary if anything else. I don't agree with most everything he wants to do to the country. But if he were to win CA--HIllary would just have a cow!

And that friends would be worth seeing!

Murphy

JOHNSON

I support Obama because I respect him and what he's made of himself as the son of a single mother. His honesty. A man who used his Columbia degree to take a $13,000 a year job helping others, who used his Harvard Law degree to do the same. A man who's actually practiced Christian principles.

My views of him have nothing to do with his race. If I were to lean towards doing that, based on Bush and Co. I'd have to say all white people were incompetents who lie as easily as most of us turn on a lightbulb and show no remorse for the massive loss of life they've caused. You speak of Obama's alleged allegience to Africa. Busha and Co. have ruined our reputation around the world and caused suffering the likes of which must cause Jesus to weep..

I've voted Republican in several presidential races in the last 30+ years. It was when narrow minded, bigoted pricks like you who profess to be 'Christians' took over the GOP that I decided the 'R' lever is off limits for the time being. The Democrats actually practice Christian principles. You know.... the red print. Try reading only it sometime and refresh yourself with Christianity. Your Churchianity doesn't resemble it in the least.

Good. I'm glad that you'll be active in behalf of Mr. Obama, dethspud.

"On" behalf ya mean? Good! Spud is glad yer glad.

I like your style, the way you express yourself, referring to yourself with the royal "We," and whatever.

Spud's style is umm unique anyway. Partially the point one supposes.

"Express yerself"? Do ya like NWA's version of that tune?

I'm droppin' flava, my behaviour is heriditary,
But my technique is very necessary.
Blame it on Ice Cube... Because he says it gets funky
When you got a subject and a predicate.
Add it on a dope beat
And that'll make you think.
Some suckaz just tickle me pink
To my stomache. 'Cause they don't flow like this one.
You know what? I won't hesitate to dis one
Or two before I'm through.
So don't try to sing this!
Some drop science
While I'm droppin' English

Small correction. Spud doesn't actually do the "Imperial We"

You musta got Spud confused with Queen Victoria, which is a common enuff mistake cos both Vickie and Spud dig dressing in black, kinda like Johnny Cash, doncha know?

You remind me of Popeye the Sailor Man. How's Olive Oyl? How's Swee'pea?

Eye Yam wot eye Yam and that's all wot eye Yam!

Enjoy the campaign.

Spud wouldn't miss it fer the world! ^_^

Be Well.

"The Democrats actually practice Christian principles. You know.... the red print."

Now there's a centrist force to be reckoned with, if it ever coalesced: The Red Print Democrats.

Feed the hungry, house the homeless, nurse the sick, and don't forget the parable of the talents: maximize your potential. The best of the left and the right.

"So, the Obama doctrine embraces racism and a pan-African concept that embraces all blacks in preference to others."

No, that's just a strawman set-up you need to proceed to a bullshit conclusion. The only place racism is embraced or blacks are preferred is in the recesses of your mind.

"I don't recall either Mr. Bowa or I even suggesting that Africa is a country. Do you have any such citation? One of us is daft, you or me. If you have the citation, it's me. If you don't, it's you."

I don't recall that you did Johnson, but Bowa, in his zeal to leap on the bandwagon and rush to judgment certainly did.

"That's what makes this church so disturbing -- they should not be expressing any allegiance to any nation and linking it to their faith-- and yet this church goes out of their way to profess as a congregation that they are "true to our native land" (Africa)..."

I love how someone who wasn't even aware of the issue an hour before somehow miraculously can see in to the hearts and minds of another group of people.

To paraphrase, I deeply suspect that your accusations are merely designed to tie Obama to images of "the black bogeyman"... it does not matter that the claims are false as long as they are out there.

Sanan claims, "I deeply suspect that your accusations are merely designed to tie Obama to images of "the black bogeyman"... it does not matter that the claims are false as long as they are out there."

I suspect the same of you and others, here, when they subtley called me a "Black Ka-NIG-hit".

You bigots know no shame, but project all your insults from your own bigotted minds ...

Why am I suddenly wanting to go watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail for the 186th time?

"Why am I suddenly wanting to go watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail for the 186th time?"

I suppose you think that those blokes were a bit too dense to understand the juxtaposition of Black with "kanighit"? So, you are going to watch some characterization of Black get cut up and sliced for their stupidity? While the White knight is victorious over all the abstractions that can be made from "Black"?

Maybe you should satisfy your apparent obsession?

Tadowe, I assume you've never seen the movie. Is this a correct assumption?

I haven't even heard of it until I came to the Drudge Retort. What's the Movie about anyways??

Larry Mohr

Last one, as I am at work.

Larry, Monty Python basically parodied the King Arthur legend. Actually, they butchered it, much to the amusement of... well, this is a guess, but I'll say just about everybody who's ever watched it.

"Tadowe, I assume you've never seen the movie. Is this a correct assumption?"

I've made my point -- so, what's yours? Three posts now, and no opinion forthcoming ...

Are you some sort of intellectual coward?

Ahhhhhh OK Now I understand. Thanks.

Larry Mohr

Tadowe, I'm asking if you've never seen the movie.

If this is the case, then you are merely mistaken in your assumptions, as you have no frame of reference as to what the others are talking about.

If you have however actually seen the movie, then you are either deliberately twisting matters about to make your (incorrect) point, or you are flat out lying.

So which is it?

And as I am at work, I'll wait until between 1130 and 1200 (my luinch break here) to see if you've come up with something other than "You're a coward because you don't agree with what I'm saying."

"If this is the case, then you are merely mistaken in your assumptions, as you have no frame of reference as to what the others are talking about."

I was the target of a concerted attack, holding me up to public ridicule for being a "Black Ka-NIG-hit." What is logical and reasonable about that? Come on, give me a clue ...

"If you have however actually seen the movie, then you are either deliberately twisting matters about to make your (incorrect) point, or you are flat out lying."

These same yahoos twist and spin words out of context CONTINUOUSLY!!! Yet, I'm somehow responsible for being called reviling and discriminatory sounding names ... is that what you are saying? I'm at fault for holding their STUPID UNCONSCIOUS FEET TO THE FIRE?

"So which is it?"

Stick your rhetorical questions somewhere dark and dank ...

"And as I am at work, I'll wait until between 1130 and 1200 (my luinch break here) to see if you've come up with something other than "You're a coward because you don't agree with what I'm saying."

Wait forever! What do I care about your angst over being an intellectual Georie Porgy ...?

Why, Tadowe, ol' bloke --

'tis this
YOU, SIR under that helmet?

*grin*

Ah, a plethora of Funny Flags Tad who is STILL trying to pass himself off as the victim of racist attacks.

Or as someone so aptly put it yesterday, the poster who spends his time hissing and spitting at a world that has passed him by.

Just for the record for those who may not have been around on that thread, the comparison of Tad to the Black Knight in Monty Python's "Holy Grail" was because of the similarities between the 2 when it comes to denying they have been defeated, even in the face of insurmountable evidence to the contrary.

But I suspect you already knew he wasn't being honest about the situation.

Really, Chris, I don't mind that the idiots call me a NIG ... that's what Leftists and, or Democratics do all the time -- call people names and try to destroy their reputations.

I actually enjoy that the stupid amongst you (a significant minority) make mistakes like this and emphasize that I may very well be a:

B L A C K Ka-N I G-hit!

I also enjoy the terminally dense coming on afterwards and running in to mock and revile the target of their prejudicial and bigotted comments:

Just like petty little jerks similar to yourself ...

G R I N

Sanan gets excited ...

I'm not pretending! You, amongst others, continuously referred to me as a "Black Ka-nig-hit".

At the same time -- you leftists and, or democratics applaud the firing of someone who uses the term "niggardly"!!!

That person deserves to be fired because they KNEW that the word carried a negative connotation (for the illiterate, if no one else).

Now, here you are whining, and continuing to try and make me out to be the victim of your attacks ...

You all are SO VERY smart ... it is scary!

Thank GOD I am NOT Taddy's Son or ANY Relation. That would suck during Christmas dinner.

Taddy Boy: You worthless ingrate Larry how is the Leftist scum sucking traitors doing.
Larry Mohr: Fine Grandpa how are the overbearing neandertall's down at the old folks home doing.
TaddyBoy: Oh those Patriotic TRUE AMericans are doing splended and tell Me Larry how many flags have You pissed upon today.
Larry Mohr: None grandpa why do You ask. Need something ELSE to bitch about.
Taddy Boy: Now You listen here Sonny Don't You ever curse at Me You hear Me.
Larry Mohr: But Grandpa where do You think I got My foul mouth from.
Taddy Boy: Well I being the Patriotic AMerican that I am have EARNED the right to curse. You yellow bellied coward scum subversives have not.
Larry Mohr: Yes Grandpa now will You pass Me the mashed Taters and gravy please.
Taddy Boy: Shut Up and eat You traitorous scum.

Larry Mohr

Larry invents ...

Here you go, Letus ... they are obsessively compelled to make me the subject of conversation. Like the terrorists, they can't be held responsible for their actions and since I'm the one that causes them to act out in this way.

It is all my fault that they are thick-as-bricks ...

Tad - YOU are the only one who has taken a scene from a humorous, and decidedly non-racist film and chosen the deception that one syllable "nig", which was part of a faux-phonetic French pronunciation of 'knight" in the movie is a racist attack.

That says a lot about your honesty and character, or lack thereof. Or maybe I should have said your "calumny". LOL!

Kanigit making himself the subject again I see.

You're beyond dishonest and stupid, tad. Even the righties are embarassed by you.

Alex can't resist, "You're beyond dishonest and stupid, tad. Even the righties are embarassed by you."

I don't post for my reputation, Alex, but although I've mentioned this before, you're just too thick to understand.

I post so that people like you will attack me and demonstrate just what a bunch of stupid, illogical and obsessed people go to make up the "mob" element of the Democratics (save your "i'm not a democratic" claim, stupid).

None of you can address the issues and points under discussion, because you are too busy thinking up some one-line insult to revile and dehumanize another person using.

You are my best and dimmest example, Alex ... thanks, again for your contribution! You're my Goebbels-wannabe icon, Alex ...

I don't post for my reputation,

Good thing that.

And you didn't address any issue. You came in here whining about "black knight" to make yourself the victim, and the subject of discussion once more.

Congrats, ya self obsessed ninny.

PS- I'm not a democrat.

Whoa! Excuses for Sanan! "Tad - YOU are the only one who has taken a scene from a humorous, and decidedly non-racist film and chosen the deception that one syllable "nig", which was part of a faux-phonetic French pronunciation of 'knight" in the movie is a racist attack."

I didn't take IT! It was applied to me by others!

Get it? They are the ones that wrote "Black Ka-nig-hit", and not me. Why would they call me "Black Ka-nig-hit", Letus? Could it have been out of personal animosity and bigotry? Well, they chose the exact wrong term to use for their prejudicial attack on me. Or, if they didn't, I'm sure you will find a ready excuse for their acts and actions in dehumanizing me, with which to start? Come on and tell everyone how "NIG" is perfectly okay to revile and dehumanize another person ...

"That says a lot about your honesty and character, or lack thereof. Or maybe I should have said your "calumny". LOL!"

I'm not concerned with my "face" on a site of subversive, anti-patriotic jerks who attack anyone who disagrees with their lies and innuendos!

You all amaze me! That's why I'm here! It is like turning over a rock and finding squirming vermin, underneath! You never disappoint in your slimey behavior and scurrying efforts to look "beautiful" to eachother!

As I've mentioned, Alex is by far the best prize of the lot, but most of you do come in and place regulary ... please, continue and make me the subject ... I dote on it.

I love how tad thinks that link is his trump card.

When he overuses it, and proves it true every single day.

"Get it? They are the ones that wrote "Black Ka-nig-hit", and not me. Why would they call me "Black Ka-nig-hit", Letus? Could it have been out of personal animosity and bigotry? Well, they chose the exact wrong term to use for their prejudicial attack on me. To paraphrase one of greatest poets and philosophers of our time, Peter Noone...

"Second verse, same as the first!"

I hope Rcade isn't rationing FF's today.

Perhaps we should change the comparison from the Black Knight to Don Quixote. Tilt at those windmills Taddy.

But then again, I'm sure you'll find a way to manufacture something racist out of that too and work yourself into a faux self-righteous frenzy for weeks on end.

Alex -- It is what it is, Alex, and I promised you that every time you make me the subject, I will use THIS link. You are a petty nazi wannabe -- a Georgie Porgy bully, safe behind your mommy's anonymous apron. I keep my promises, Alex ... count on it.

Why would they call me "Black Ka-nig-hit",

Cuz it's from a movie. You act like the knight in black...chopped to pieces but still thinking you can win.

Sanan goes on ...

See? Excuses and misdirections ... how pathetic you all are! You haven't the sense to just shut up ... but, hey!

That's what I enjoy about you slimey leftist attack artists -- you are so unconscious!

Excuses and misdirections

They're called "facts and reality". But please, continue to pretend you, an old white guy, were the victim of racism against blacks.

Moron.

"You haven't the sense to just shut up..."

Priceless. Thats really like the pot calling the kettle bl...

OOPS!

Let me rephrase that. Wouldn't want you to get upset or anything.

Anyway, I can't help but wonder when you'll begin lobbying Congress to pass legislation designating those who have been likened to a Monty Python character as a "protected class".

Let us know if you need signatures on your petition.

I'm sure Hugh G Rection will sign. He can have his friend Phil McKraken sign too.

How about Seymour Butts, I.P. Freely, Hugh Jardon, and Amanda Hugginkiss?

Alex says, "They're called "facts and reality". But please, continue to pretend you, an old white guy, were the victim of racism against blacks."

I'm not pretending I'm an old white guy who is the victim of racism against blacks, Alex -- that is what you are saying.

I'm saying that some out-and-out idiots, real dummies, made an error in their personal attacks and called me a "B L A C K ka - NIG - hit". Got that, yet? Can you screw that into the cement?

Certainly Monty Python never intended for their skit to be a racist comment, and probably never thought of hyphenating the word, and since it was a verbal comment to mock a French accent. Any reference to the "N" word wasn't considered anymore racially intended than is the word "niggardly".

However, you don't know my racial background, and neither do your "friends" who continued to use the term -- even though the racial connotation had been mentioned! You did, yourself, to continue to mock and revile another human being ... with made-up, nonsensical attacks with racial overtones.

Any poster from the rightwing who had made such a mistake would have all their posts pulled for using the "N" word or a euphemism/shorthand for it! You intellectual cowards would have crucified any rightwinger who did so and voted "abusive" and "offensive" and written Rogers to have them censored and, or banned!

You are all run-in-fear cowards! Backbiting idiots! Stupid attack artists who sully the reputation of your gang!

I LOVE IT!

Certainly Monty Python never intended for their skit to be a racist comment

And it isn't. "Ka-nig-it" was how the french character in the movie pronounced "knight". This has been explaned and proven to you with links dozens of times.

You're just a dishonest self obsessed fraud and a lunatic, tad.

San an-

Mike Hunt, Sharon Cox, Lo Wang, and Ben Dover will also be on the list.

He must have a hangover.

And I'm sure that John H.(Jack) Mehoffe would be on board, as well.

"And it isn't. "Ka-nig-it" was how the french character in the movie pronounced "knight". This has been explaned and proven to you with links dozens of times."

He knows that Alex. But he continues to push the lie out there so he can play the "poor, poor pitiful me" card.

The only reason I bother to respond to his lunacy is to reveal and highlight his dishonesty to posters who may not otherwise have had the pleasure.

San an- Ditto.

Sanan gestures for the audience, "...Ka-nig-it ... was how the french character in the movie pronounced 'knight'. This has been explaned and proven to you with links dozens of times."

Of course it has! Let me explain to you, again: I don't care! It is a stupid error to pick that image to use to revile and dehumanize me! Got that? You made a MISTAKE!

Just as Alex made a mistake in his personal obsession with me, and in denigrating me, personally -- you unthinking cretins made the same error in judgement! Dethspud (PS) or whoever they are is an unconscious, smart guy who ALWAYS sticks his Canadian foot in his sizable Canadian mouth! He made the mistake and you all continue to compound it! I love that about you! All I have to do is mention some *mistake* you all are conscious of ... and you start hopping around and posting 3 for my 1 and with me as the subject!

"He knows that Alex. But he continues to push the lie out there so he can play the "poor, poor pitiful me" card."

It isn't a "lie", and since it is your imagery, and not mine. It is your collective mistake, not mine. I promise, though, that I will take advantage of each and everyone of them -- and I don't need to spin it out of context -- because it is what it is: a personal attack with me as the subject but which stupidly (let me repeat that: STUPIDLY) juxtaposed an apparent racial slur into the issue ... suck it up, and live with it ... or gag on it for all I care ...

"The only reason I bother to respond to his lunacy is to reveal and highlight his dishonesty to posters who may not otherwise have had the pleasure."

I'm overjoyed with your continuing efforts to make me the subject and that that subject is defammation and dehumanization of me, personally!

It is the proof of my contentions that you and your ilk are INCAPABLE any any reasoned discussion! You underscore and verify me with every such effort ...! I'm just glad you all are a bit too dense to understand that, though.

Come on back and explain Monty Python, again. That's a good excuse ...

You kids put the Tad away and wash your hands when you are done playing with it, 'K?

Tad- I'm overjoyed with your continuing efforts to make me the subject and that that subject is defammation and dehumanization of me, personally!

THIS WAS YOUR FIRST POST IN THE THREAD:

Sanan claims, "I deeply suspect that your accusations are merely designed to tie Obama to images of "the black bogeyman"... it does not matter that the claims are false as long as they are out there."

I suspect the same of you and others, here, when they subtley called me a "Black Ka-NIG-hit".

You made YOURSELF the subject, hypocrite.

"Let me explain to you, again: I don't care!"

Yes, you've shown over and over again that you don't care a fig for facts, truth, or proof.

Fortunately, everyone but you saw the humor in the comparison between your behavior and that of the Black Knight in "The Holy Grail".

And equally fortunate, but maybe more like sad, everyone sees a vitriolic, bitter man railing against an imaginary "racial" slur.

So tilt away Don Quixote. You remember him, right?

And so, the poor man who had read so much about great knights of the past now came upon the idea of becoming a knight himself. He poked around his house and found a moldering suit of armor left by his great-grandfather, polished it up, and put it on. Other odd knickknacks, including a helmet visor hastily made of cardboard, added just the "right" touches to his armor; and though his attire looked ridiculous, he imaged it to be the finest in the world.

Since every good knight needed a horse, Quejana went to his stables, where he found only his dilapidated old nag, its hide blemished and its hooves full of cracks. But fancying it a healthy, noble steed, he renamed it "Rocinante," for "superlative Nag."

Decked out in his clattering armor and dreaming of fame, the Don wasted no time in mounting Rocinante and setting out in search of adventure. Early in his travels he happened upon an inn, which he imagined to be an enchanted castle. During his stay there, he persuaded the bewildered innkeeper to officially dub him a knight.

Later, on the plains of La Mancha he spotted a cluster of huge windmills. Quixote instantly declared them to be giants, and charged on them with lowered lance. The great arms of a windmill caught the knight and his steed and sent them both rolling. Quixote blamed the disaster on the work of a magician, who must have changed the giants into windmills "in order to deprive me of the glory of overcoming them."

Alex quotes my first post.

Well, Alex, I'm not an admirer of Sanan. As a matter of fact, I think he attacks me using "black bogeyman" images to do so!

He attacks another individual for "black bogeymen", but hasn't a qualm about doing so, himself! What a total hypocrite he makes of himself -- with you as his apologist and collectivist puta, in doing so.

www.urbandictionary.com"www.urbandictionary.com/a">Really, Alex! You are so desperate to belittle me that it gets in the way of your judgement! Your angst is so palapable that it forces you to libel another human being, permanently!

You literally cannot stop, can you Alex? Every day I make a comment on this site, there you are trying to insult and belittle ...

You are a cliche for being an inane, idiotic attack artist on this site ... a virtual laughing stock; except Larry likes you and supports you ... another of the cretins who think they are *important* members of the Drudge Retort ...

a virtual laughing stock

It's not virtual in your case. I repeat: You made the very first post in this thread about yourself, and your imaginary victimhood.

Then castigated all of us for making you the subject.

You're a joke.

"You are a cliche for being an inane, idiotic attackartist on this site ... a virtual laughing stock . . .

Ah, the delicious, delicious irony of subconscious projection.

It verifies my point: you are all intellectual cowards who run screaming from any reasoned discussion of these issues

TADOWE

You haven't had a single reasoned discussion since i've been posting here (about 4 months).

I'm convinced you're a intellectuallly cowardly subversive spewing hate for republocratic gain

OK Cork, I'm done playing with him now. I'll put him away and go wash my hands.

ALEX

Yep. I didn't think he had. Just a quick check last month revealed 'TADOWE Banned' on numerous other sites

I like throwing his own style back at him. In fact, 'republocratic subversive for partisan gain' is one of my favorite new phrases LOL

Some of you find Monty Python insightful and humorous. That explains a lot.

Take an epic and focus on the revisionist distortion.

But that's the way you folks see the world. You take the "historical Jesus" and revise Christianity to further your current model of how you want the world to be. Then you project the beliefs on Jesus.

You take the politician Obama and revise his expressed "being" as a race-focused individual by creating a fictional Obama, who has virtues that do not exist in actuality. His adulators seem to ignore the observed Obama, who is a race-focused Afro-centered person, and instead portray him as a cosmopolitan "man of the world," concerned with all mankind. The lefties regard experience being "concerned for the poor" as a credential to somehow qualify a person for the presidency.

You do not acknowledge the debilitating nature of his preferences as reflected in his long membership in a race-focused Afrocentric church led by a man who among other aspects of his being is virulently opposed to Jews and Israel in the tradition of race-baiting black hate-mongers, Jessie (Hymietown) Jackson, the man of Tawana Brawley fame, Bullhorn Al (burn down that Jew store - resulting in the deaths of three Hispanics) Sharpton. and who's that guy in Texas, Quanell X. Mr. Obama continues to be a member of and provide support to the church, which is demonstrably anti-white in the black separatist tradition.

But that's okay.

I think that someone should notify the Jews who have endorsed and support Mr. Obama of his predilections. It's only fair.

But Jew-hating seems to have become de rigeur for leftists nowadays as their hatred of Mr. Bush energizes them to rationalize the actions of Islamic terrorists, ignore the treatment of women and gays (who in other contexts leftists support), to find the repression and suppression of thought among Islamics acceptable, and to deny Mein Kampf statements of Islamics on their goal of subjugating the world under sharia, have any relevance or import.

But that's okay. the leftist ideologue is by nature and training quite adept at convoluted thought and just denies reality. Then he proves his point by self-congratulatory repeated statements that his position is correct. Like a mindless mob, the leftist crescendo erupts in a riot of found truth and accompanying righteousness. Repeat your point incessantly. You've learned the big lie technique from Goebbels. But the ones deluded are you, yourselves. Revel in your delusions.

Was our plan in Iraq poorly drawn and implemented as it sought pacification of our enemies with insufficient forces, excessive moderation, and minimal coercion? Yes. Should al-Sadr have been killed early on and his forces crushed? Yes.

Should our failures in executing policy lead us to adopt policies that are deleterious to us. No. Somehow, the left seems to want to atone for ineptitude by retreating to a Fortress America, and abandoning the world and its resources to the forces of evil. Mr. Obama and Mr. Huckabee are prime candidates for implementation of such a program, Mr. Huckabee midguided because of use of a misleading model, and Mr. Obama because of alienation from and antipathy to white folks as evidenced by his alliances and activities.

You take the "historical Jesus" and revise Christianity to further your current model of how you want the world to be. Then you project the beliefs on Jesus.

JOHNSON

Sorry guy. I read the RED PRINT. In there you'll find the message of Jesus, which abhors war. You will find a plethora of principles such as feed the poor, house the homeless, and every other social issue you neocons abhor.

You must belong to one of those churches that drinks rattlesnake venom. Your 'Christianity' doesn't resemble Jesus' teachings one iota.

Oh, San already dealt with the "reasoned discussion"/"rebuttal" argument. Never mind.

**leaves thread**

"Some of you find Monty Python insightful and humorous. That explains a lot.

Take an epic and focus on the revisionist distortion."

Johnson, here's my advice for you for today, then I'm done with you.

1. Push chair back away from desk
2. Stand up and move to an open area of your home/office
3. Drop trou and bend to a 90 degree angle at your waist
4. Grab one ankle with your left hand
5. Reach around behind you with your right hand
6. Remove proverbial stick from your rectum
7. Repeat as necessary

Let's see, the Lefties here support and defend Obama in belonging to an afro-centrist church which states on it's home page:

"We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land,"

"The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to...a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA"
www.tucc.org

But how many Lefties would support a candidate for President which belonged to a Church which states on its homepage:

"We are a congregation which is Unashamedly White and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the White religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an Aryan people, and remain "true to our native land," Europe.

"The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to...a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO EUROPA"

Racism is wrong in all its forms.

Darrnit. Just when I was thinking how wonderful Oprah (a fellow member) building that school for girls in Africa was.

Not like she hasn't donated hundreds of millions to causes here in the U.S.

Forget Bowa, AU.

Remember this is the guy who hadn't even heard of the issue last night. Then 30 minutes later he was an "expert" and knew what Wright and Trinity were all about. He was somehow in that short span of time able to discern the hearts and minds of an entire congregation of people based on little more than his own narrow interpretation of their web page, and a link by another poster to a clearly racist publication.

Bowa (at least this current iteration) is a band wagoner with very little substance behind him, who has been virtually aching to find a way to smear Obama for months.

So AU, what you are saying is that it is OK for a presidential candidate who is trying to represent all americans regardless of race, creed, color, gender, etc belongs to a church which so obvioulsy puts the black race and commitment to Africa above everything else?

Would you also support a white candidate who belonged to a white church which stated emphatically "Our roots in the White religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an Aryan people, and remain "true to our native land," Europe."

Remember this is the guy who hadn't even heard of the issue last night. Then 30 minutes later he was an "expert" and knew what Wright and Trinity were all about.

How much ofg an expert do you have to be to discern the racism inherent in this statement:

Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land,"

"The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to...a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA"
www.tucc.org

Like I said above, just change the race-- and how many Lefties here would come to the defense of a Church which proclaimed: ""We are a congregation which is Unashamedly White and Unapologetically Christian...

"So AU, what you are saying is that it is OK for a presidential candidate who is trying to represent all americans regardless of race, creed, color, gender, etc belongs to a church which so obvioulsy puts the black race and commitment to Africa above everything else?

Would you also support a white candidate who belonged to a white church which stated emphatically "Our roots in the White religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an Aryan people, and remain "true to our native land, 'Europe.'"

But of course if you had more than a superficial knowledge of the whole situation you would be able to understand why that comparison is a total straw man.

I can tell you for a fact that what you are claiming about Trinity is false. After you've visited the church a few times, heard Wright speak, and gotten acquainted with some of the members, get back to us.

You're basing an ill-informed opinion on reading a few words from a web page and then putting your personal spin on them. You don't even begin to understand what they are really saying about the difference between the development of the Black religious experience in this country versus the main stream white experience.

Sure, Wright can be controversial. What religious leader isn't in some way or another. But you are certainly entitled to your opinion, no matter how ill-conceived it may be.

Now I really don't have any more to say on the subject to a dime-store "expert" like you who just couldn't wait to pile on.

One last thing...

"How much ofg an expert do you have to be to discern the racism inherent in this statement:"

I guess maybe as much of an expert as you are on Obama's "refusal" to put his hand on his heart during the National Anthem.

You should probably at least make an attempt to veil your dishonesty.

You're basing an ill-informed opinion on reading a few words from a web page and then putting your personal spin on them

Yeah, it is called blogging. You just described 99% of what gets posted on this place.

By you.

"...a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO EUROPA"

A commitment to
Europa? Sounds like the Scientologists.

Question: What's funnier than a racist who brags about how his best friends were Negros?

Answer: A pants-pissing racist who brags about how his best friends were Negros.

Hans

don't worry Alex. you are definately in the 99%.

Thanks for the troll endorsement. Troll.

Mother: Rob, it's your birthday, and it's time you knew. You're not our natural-born child.
Rob: I'm not? You mean I'm gonna STAY this color?
Mother: Rob, I'd love you if you were the color of a baboon's ass.

My story? Okay. It was never easy for me. I was born a poor black child. I remember the days, sittin' on the porch with my family, singin' and dancin' down in Mississippi.

Apologies to Steve Martin and "The Jerk"

I can tell you for a fact that what you are claiming about Trinity is false

I am only claiming what they say on their won websiste. They are an afro-centric Church. There's nothing wrong with that. It's a free country and people should be able to congregate how they please.

But when a candidate for President belongs to a Church which puts race and a non-negotiable commitment to Africa as central to it's doctrine -- then I have a problem with that.

A President is supposed to represent all of America -- every shade, hue, and variation -- not just Black.

So...You're against Mitt Romney bashing "secular" people in his speech? If he wants to be president, he needs to represent atheists, by your logic.

I didn't hear the speech. How exactly did he bash all "secular" people?

Go look it up.

johnson proclaims himself a Christian and considers Huckabee, a Baptist minister too far to the left. Idaho for sure for Johnson.
How is Mr. Huckabee "conservative?" It's in a very limited context. He's conservative in regard to abortion. I agree with him. I'm opposed to abortion.

Gov. Huckabee is opposed to "gay rights." I' am not as antagonistic toward gay people as the Governor as I consider them impaired. But I do oppose conferring "rights" on them.

Is Gov. Huckabee "conservative" in regard to illegal immigration, commitment to defeating our enemies abroad, and other such matters?

I don't think so.

No. Governor Huckabee is not sufficiently broadbrush conservative to suit me.

Being a Baptist minister does not transfor Gov. Huckabee into a "conservative."

Another lefty with an anal fixation. I haven't gleaned enough about you to wager other than a guess as to whether you're anal expulsive, anal incorporative, or anal retentive. I suspect that you're anal incorporative. You'd probably be a shrink's dream patient.

Johnson-
I pretty much agree with you on Huck. Nice guy... good on abortion/gay marriage, but beyond that there's a world of other issues where I don't know he'd be the right guy.

Spending/taxes, immigration, WOT, etc.

He's got a way to go to be on the top half of the ticket, however.

This is a funny story. A campaign worker forwards an email to eight people, one of whom anonymously runs over to the Daily Kos with a copy of it, causing the resignation of the email forwarder. The question is: why would she DO that? Why go to Daily Kos at all? Why not just go to the person and say, "hey, you know it might not be a good idea to be forwarding that e-mail around--you wouldn't want someone over at the Daily Kos to know about it, you know?"

I wonder--has the Hillary campaign been infiltrated by an Obama supporter? Or is this just an example of women stabbing each other in the back on the job?

Either way, it's funny.

So...You're against Mitt Romney bashing "secular" people in his speech? If he wants to be president, he needs to represent atheists, by your logic.
For you, would the disqualification apply to one without the other? Or would you accept it as disqualifying for both or neither?

Go look it up.

Alex, that figures -- You are the one who accused Romney of bashing secular people in his speech... and you can't even back up your accusation.

However, I can certainly back up my claim and have that Obama belongs to an afro-centric church that puts a premiun on loyalty to race that is disturbing for someone who portends to want to represent all people equally.

Alex, that figures -- You are the one who accused Romney of bashing secular people in his speech... and you can't even back up your accusation.

If you'd watched or read his speech, you'd know. Romney wasn't great with me before this, but he was "ok." Now I have no respect for him. He's an ass.

f you'd watched or read his speech, you'd know. Romney wasn't great with me before this, but he was "ok." Now I have no respect for him. He's an ass

I think Romney is a sleaze -- he's a GOP version of Bill Clinton -- which is why I didn't even bother watching his speech.

Don't know what I am going to do if he's the GOP nominee. I won't vote for Hillary -- and I had thought Obama was OK till I found out he belonged to an afro-centrist church. I abhore the "hyphenated" America and am a big supporter of assimilation, and the "melting pot" -- you know "Out of many one" and that is certainly not " We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," as Obama's faith is invested in.

I guess I'll hope that Bloomberg runs or I actually might not vote this time around. And that would be a first.

JOHNSON

Dod you consider Ronald Reagan conservative? (pause for reflection....)

From The National Review:

"Reagan may have resisted calls for tax increases, but he ultimately supported them. In 1982 alone, he signed into law not one but two major tax increases. The Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act (TEFRA) raised taxes by $37.5 billion per year and the Highway Revenue Act raised the gasoline tax by another $3.3 billion.

According to a recent Treasury Department study, TEFRA alone raised taxes by almost 1 percent of the gross domestic product, making it the largest peacetime tax increase in American history. An increase of similar magnitude today would raise more than $100 billion per year.

In 1983, Reagan signed legislation raising the Social Security tax rate. This is a tax increase that lives with us still, since it initiated automatic increases in the taxable wage base. As a consequence, those with moderately high earnings see their payroll taxes rise every single year.

In 1984, Reagan signed another big tax increase in the Deficit Reduction Act. This raised taxes by $18 billion per year or 0.4 percent of GDP. A similar-sized tax increase today would be about $44 billion.

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 raised taxes yet again. Even the Tax Reform Act of 1986, which was designed to be revenue-neutral, contained a net tax increase in its first 2 years. And the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1987 raised taxes still more.

The year 1988 appears to be the only year of the Reagan presidency, other than the first, in which taxes were not raised legislatively. Of course, previous tax increases remained in effect. According to a table in the 1990 budget, the net effect of all these tax increases was to raise taxes by $164 billion in 1992, or 2.6 percent of GDP. This is equivalent to almost $300 billion in today's economy."

and I had thought Obama was OK till I found out he belonged to an afro-centrist church.

Bullshit. You've been smearing him since day one, arugula boy.

Bullshit. You've been smearing him since day one, arugula boy.

LOL

Whatever Alex. Like I really care what you think. Obviously, my so called smears must have landed since they all are so memorable.

:-)

Obama is done. if he makes it into the general election -- When the rest of the country gets one whiff of Obama's church and it's promotion of segregation by race, then it will be over for him.

I am truly amazed, given how big an issue that religion is playing in the Hucakabee and Romney campaigns, that Obama has so far avoided having to answer for belonging to a church which puts race and a "non-negotiable commitment to Africa" as central to it's doctrine and faith.
