There was no intent to hide his relationship with Judi from the public -- and given how high profile the mayor of NYC and with all the threats to his person -- it would be expected that the City pick up the tab for a security detail for the mayor, the mayors family and significant other -- especially in the days following 9/11.-- which is the newest smear agaisnt him. That Judy with Security detail in tow visited her parents in Pennsylvania while Rudy attended 9/11 funerals.

You are correct though -- this is the type of simple story that fair or not many people can wrap their head around -- and if they actually believe it was an abuse of power by Rudy then it could hurt him. It hasn't yet -- but we will see what the fallout is in the coming weeks.

Rudy and the women, I tell you, the Dems are just bringing what has been known for quite some time. And there is more in other areas that hasn't been brought up yet. Rudy is not a good future President. Yes, he handled 9-11 very well, and yes he just might put on conservative on the US Supreme Court, but he's got so much baggage he makes Bill Clinton look good.
