"There was one problem. It was not true," he writes. "I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice President, the President's chief of staff, and the president himself."

Another traitor. I say, declare this fat weasel an enemy combatant and disappear him.

PS: 9/11
PPS: Rudy didn't know she was his cousin.

Mommy, mommy I swear (you fill in the name of your brother or sister) made me take that last helping of roast beef. I swear.

made me take that last helping of roast beef. I swear.

Just because he was complicit doesn't mean the allegations are false. This is pretty huge news.

Good for him. I'll be he hides from the threat of rendition til January 21st, 2009.

Wow! It looks like the president has been outed.

Yep, he is a liar and you first heard it here.

NOT!!!

"Yep, he is a liar and you first heard it here."

When was the last time you heard a former press secretary to the president say his boos is a liar?

That said, I'm with you. Let's bury this story. Deflect it. Then put a bag over this geek's head and turn him over to our best Uzbek inquisitors.

In the meantime:

Clinton...Blowjob

So when Bush said anyone guilty of committing a crime would not be part of his administration he already knew that members of his administration were guilty and stood there and lied right into the camera. Hey right wing tools, tell me again that there are no crimes which constitute impeachable offenses.
It will be interesting to see how well the MSM can bury Scott McClellan and his story. Me thinks we won't be hearing much about this on Faux News.

"Long before the White House Press Corps became saddled with Dana "The Gift That Keeps On Giving" Perino, they got to receive their briefings from Scott "The Gift That Gave As Well As He Could Given The Relative Lack Of Confidence He Had In Just About Everything He Was Ever Asked To Say" McClellan. McClellan stepped down from the position in May of 2006, and has since penned a book that will finally allow him to do what he never could as press secretary: tell all."
www.huffingtonpost.com

I used to get a kick out of watching the beads of sweat form on his forehead and upper lip.

SA, he reminded me of Porky the Pig caught in a lie and backed into a corner.

Who'd a thunk it. Bush and Cheney lied to their own spokesman, and to the nation.

It's kinda scary when the former flack for this administration states clearly that they lied to him, and no one even blinks.

"I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice President, the President's chief of staff, and the president himself."

Coop - the story has been on here for a few hours already.

I had unknowingly...

Yeah, right...

I think he's just another in a line of former Bushies trying to cover his ass and claim he was an innocent victim of other's actions.

the list is absolutely amazing. the only one screaming that everything was true is good old scootie

Petrous-
Your claim that McClellan also lied doesn't really do much for your team.

Sanantonio-
where?

Sanantonio-
It's old news to you, and to anyone who has been paying attention, but it's not old news.

Please buy my book, lefties.

Signed,

Scott McClellan

Methinks young Scottie will soon be in front of a Congressional Committee expalining what the President knew and when he knew it, though the concept of Bush knowing anything is pretty bizarre in and of itself.

Let's quit talking about Clinton and Blowjobs. Now about cigars in the Poon.........

Strap_On, are you into that as well?

You righties love to talk about Clintons blowjob and cigars as if you were not allowed to do any of it yourselve's.

So repressed.

p.s. enjoy those detroit property values.....

Bacon-
Of course it was clear from early on that Scott McClellan was a Democrat mole, and a crack-head - just like every other critic of the cult of Bush.

Right before his testimony however, Swiftboaters will out Scottie as gay and in his shame, he will "kill himnself", kinda like Vince Foster.

Please buy my book, lefties.

Signed,

Scott McClellan

I'm guessing he finally woke up and realized that righties are usually too slow to read books without lots of pictures. Somebody has to buy it and it would make great kindling to get the fireplace going.

Sorry BaconFat, it's not Hop On Pop nor Green Eggs and Ham.

It had been posted this morning by Species and had several posts. Rcade has now combined the two.

Good. I'm sorry that I posted, as this news was fueling the blog already.

That's OK - I was just pointing out that there was an existing thread in case you wanted to hop on that one, but Rcade took care of it.

Fact of the matter is it would only be news if a Bush spokesperson were caught telling the truth. All else is dog bites man stuff.

In related news, Bush stated he thinks he once met Sweaty McMelon in a greeting line.

Takeit(youtraitor)ez.
You are a facist piece of dried shitonastick appologist.

Case closed indeed!

Hmmm, Can't recall a pres sec saying his bosses were lying assholes. Um, ever.

all but 24% of America and takeitsleazy and Woobie the poop chute knew this was a lie...

I wonder where he is hiding? If I were him I wouldn't be answering the door or starting my car without checking first.

A book kind of blows "executive privilege" out the window doesn't it?

Relying on small aircraft as method of conveyance would tend to give one pause, I would think.

PS- Scott is lying. He knew it was untrue when he said it, just as 99% of what came out of his mouth at the time was fiction.

His JOB was to lie. Now he's just trying to save his "reputation" from the historians. Scott knew Bush lied, and it was HIS job to do it for him.

Bushco is not worried about this little book.

They learned a long time ago that you can do anything you want as long as nobody else has the balls to make you stop.

so true Silver...so true!

With all due respect to Chinese, and particularly Chinese-American citizens. The following is a parody.. a sharp and perverse one, but I feel is strongly appropriate to Scotty's, uh, knowledge of the BushCo:

*** I like Chinese
*** from Monty Python's Contractual Obligation Album
*** transcribed from tape 11/16/87 Daniel Rich

(spoken)
The world today is absolutely cracked.
With nuclear bombs to blow us all sky high.
There's fools and idiots sitting on the trigger.
It's depressing, and it's senseless, and that's why...

(singing)
I like chinese,
I like chinese,
They only come up to you knees,
Yet they're always friendly and they're ready to to please.

I like chinese,
I like chinese,
There's nine hundred million of them in the world today,
You'd better learn to like them, that's what I say.

I like chinese,
I like chinese,
They come from a long way overseas,
But they're cute, and they're cuddly, and they're ready to please.

I like chinese food,
The waiters never are rude,
Think the many things they've done to impress,
There's maoism, taoism, eging and chess.

I like chinese,
I like chinese,
I like their tiny little trees,
Their zen, their ping-pong, their ying and yang-eze.

I like chinese thought,
The wisdom that Confusious taught,
If Darwin is anything to shout about,
The chinese will survive us all without any doubt.

So, I like chinese,
I like chinese,
They only come up to you knees,
Yet they're wise, and they're witty, and they're ready to please

Wo, I chumba run,
Wo, I chumba run,
Wo, I chumba run,
Ne hamma, Ne hamma, Ne hamma chi chen.

I like chinese,
I like chinese,
They're food is guaranteed to please,
A fourteen, a seven, a nine and li-chese

I like chinese,
I like chinese,
I like their tiny little trees,
Their zen, their ping-pong, their yin and yang-eze

I like chinese,
I like chinese,
(fade out....)

Relying on small aircraft as method of conveyance would tend to give one pause, I would think.

Yeah, they're likely to pause mid-air. Poppy would be glad to teach Junior how to git'er done.

I can`t believe its true!
Everyone in the world must be lying!
Don`t believe the hype!
I wonder If they even care what most people know?

.........I think not....if the Dems in congress decide to grow some balls........there could be some prosecutions down the road.......

Nice try at deflection, Kris_P_Bacon.

Oops.

Didn't work at all.

When asked whether he wore boxers or whitey-tighties, it's said Ronald Reagan replied, "Depends."

That same answer applies now: DEPENDS.

The importance of this issue (very or not at all) will be determined by whether:

1. An investigation or probe is initiated by Congress, or not.
2. What credible evidence is discovered in that investigation, if any.
3. If any, will the House of Representatives initiate the impeachment process?

It all depends in (paraphrasing Bill Clinton here) what the meaning of truth is.

I'll go have a good cigar now...

"Valerie Plame got fame and fortune.... one can tell she is relishing her outed status.... like the Jersey girls....""

I thought we could take this moment to appreciate real insensitivity and amazing stupidity.

Fox news has this little tidbit of news hidden in small print at the bottom of their page. MSNBC is headlining it and CNN had it as their second story.

I clicked over to Fox last night for a laugh. Not once did they mention this. They went through Gay Boy Scouts, the Peterson case ad naseuam and the best part... they covered the bias in the media.

This is a big deal people. 10 years ago this would have brought down a President. 20-200 years ago the POTUS would have resigned in discrace.

And this comes from a certified kook-aid drinker.

Amazing.

Where's your outrage, "conservatives"?

Hup, two, three, four....

Petrous-
Your claim that McClellan also lied doesn't really do much for your team.

My team? I don't believe in political parties because they represent the party, not the people. I'm not registered under any party because they all suck.

If the people believe want one thing and the party wants the opposite, the party votes agains the people.

I'd prefer Obama over Hillary any day. I don't care for either as President. Legislative branch is different work than Executive branch. JFK, before entering the Legislative branch, had more experience under his belt that I would claim to have qualified him for the job - a lot more than these two.

I don't have much on the R's to talk about. I just don't have someone I'm interested in yet.

RP isn't Perot and Perot shot himself in the foot with his withdrawal. I thought he really had a chance until he pulled that stunt. RP would really bring the Congress around to working together. I think RP would shake DC either apart or together. I'm betting together - and that's good for all of us. Kucinich is there, too like RP.

White House press secretary Dana Perino said it wasn't clear what McClellan meant in the excerpt. "The president has not and would not ask his spokespeople to pass on false information," she said.
news.yahoo.com

Petrous,

What do you think about Bush and Cheney's involvement in the Plame issue? If Plame was really working on preventing WMD in Iran and this administration outed her, is this treason for political gain?

White House press secretary Dana Perino said it wasn't clear what McClellan meant in the excerpt. "The president has not and would not ask his spokespeople to pass on false information," she said.

I guess it depends on what your definition of "false informaiton" is.

"I guess it depends on what your definition of "false informaiton" is."

"If the President has his fingers crossed behind his back when he says something, then it's not false."
- George (king's X) W. Bush

"The president has not and would not ask his spokespeople to pass on false information," she said."

Meanwhile Scott McClellan says that the president did tell him lies and expected them to be repeated at news conferences, which they were. So, it comes down to a decision of who to believe...Dana or Scott???
Personally, I trust Scott more than I do Dana, who obviously has the job of spokes liar at the moment.

Will McClellan Be John Dean to Bush's Richard Nixon?

www.thenation.com

I'm not as good at predicting as Bowa is, but have hunch this story is gonna get much bigger in the next few days.

Unless of course W can deflect it by pardoning a turkey or something.

Danni,

Watching Dana sweat is somehow more fun for me than watching Scotty.

Excuse me, Dana perspires.

Judas-like betrayal?

How about loyalty to the LAW and CONSTITUTION above loyalty to an INDIVIDUAL?

If you guys were in pre-war Germany, you'd have made the perfect Nazis with respect to blind loaylty to the leader wihtout regard to what the leader actually does.

"Watching Dana sweat is somehow more fun for me than watching Scotty.

Excuse me, Dana perspires.

Posted by TedBaxter"

Ted, that's impolite. Ladies don't sweat or perspire, they glisten.

And Dana's been glistening like a pig lately.

My apologies, I meant to say "glow".

"Excuse me, Dana perspires."

Horses sweat
Men perspire
Dana glows

Dana? G-double l-o-wow? You bet! In fact, speaking for myself, as an individual, solely, from the depths of my sole, I wish somebody---perhaps BushLover, Rob, Wissy, or Chairpoodle---would follow her into the White House gym and latch onto the towel she uses when she's finished her work out. Bring it to me, and I'll twist it until the sweat decorates my Post Toasties.

Dana Perino and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, naked except for jimson weed garlands atop their heads, Dobermans' studded collars around their necks, Australian kangaroo-hide whips in one hand and gleaming steerification denutting devices in the other, their tits painted with red-white-and-blue Day-Glo and shiny sequins in a close approximation of an image of the Virgin of Guadalupe, yoddling "America the Beautiful" while riding Roman on a pair of Clydesdales through Ghirardelli Square en route to a chocholate bath.

Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy

Bowzer

That was pretty stunning.

Practically Rumsfeldian.

Funny how shooting the neighbor's criminals get 3 times the interest as the President potentially commiting treason. Everyone is numb.

Worth repeating!

What the hell...!?
Where's BOWA, GOATMAN, RIGHTISRIGHT, BUSHSLOVER2, VERNON, SLICKSTERWILLY, et al NOW?

Waiting for Fox News' and Limbaugh's spin before replying?

I'll preview their replies.
1. Disgruntled employee/Bastard/Liberal
2. Traitor. Aiding and comforting the enemy...whoever we say the "enemy" is this week.
3. No proof Plame actually worked for the CIA. After all, if she DID work for them, she would have had a black helicopter land on her lawn and take her to work every day.
4. Hillary Clinton at one time met the second cousin of McClellan and threatened her cat.
5. Kathleen Willey claims McClellan raped her in a VW parked outside the White House in 1981.
6. Note! It was after McClellan's resignation that we achieved victory in Iraq.
7. Ghouliani/9-11/Ghouliani/mayor of large city/9-11
8. Stock market shot up after his resignation--PROOF that he's a liar.

Once again one of these "PIGS" that worked for this administration has waited till they leave before they have the courage to tell the TRUTH. Why wouldn't these people have to guts to at least RESIGN when this was going on so that the American people could judge the performance of there President in real time????? This is the real meaning of "Partianship", these people believe that there political party is more important than America, what a Shameless bunch of "CREEPS"!!! WHERE DO THE REPUBLICAN'S FIND THESE ASSHOLES?????

"Petrous,

You'll have to prove the crime first. So far, we've got accusations again.

Once you've done that, all you'll need is a Senate that will actually consider what the definition of a crime really is.

"You'll have to prove the crime first. So far, we've got accusations again."

How much Kool Aide do you have to drink to STILL be in denial???

"You'll have to prove the crime first. So far, we've got accusations again. "

No...what we've got are admissions, from an insider who is turning on the rest of the crooks.

DANFORTH they won't admit it even when Bush himself confesses. They'll claim an imposter took his place.

DANFORTH they won't admit it even when Bush himself confesses. They'll claim an imposter took his place.

I've heard that James Carville does a great W impression.

Enough with these nuanced allegations. How about using some "enhanced interrogation techniques" on Karl Rove. That soft shoe approach before the Grand Jury didn't work (not even on the fifth try).

Get tough, get answers.

Let's not overlook the other salient point: Libby was convicted of obstruction of justice. That he was "obstructing" for Cheney was a given, but now, as McClellen tells us, he was obstructing for the President as well.

The same President who commuted Libby's sentence.

Is that how it's supposed to work?

Clinton pardoned Marc Rich

Ah, and Scooter's fee in that dirty deal?

Rich did pay a fine if I remember correctly, and was happily outside of US jurisdiction. Bird in hand one might say. And there's no doubt that Clinton had greedy hands, but that crosses the aisle in DC.

my thoughts exactly... Its been a tough eight years.

What is really going to be amusing is the people who will actually try to discredit McClellan and spin this shit into a big ball of mixed understanding.
I personally think the only way for this President to salvage any face he has to do what Clinton did... Confession of sins and put his destiny in the hands of the senate. It'll never happen, this asshole has zero character.

So, do I have the timeline straight?
1-Unread intelligence re Bin Laden on W's desk.
2-Downing Street memo.
3-Aluminum mortar...sorry, CENTRIFUGE tubes.
4-No WMD? Bad intelligence.
5-Plame.
And to think W's dad, who went against the Peter Principle to get W ahead, used to be Mr. CIA.

If you guys were in pre-war Germany, you'd have made the perfect Nazis with respect to blind loaylty to the leader wihtout regard to what the leader actually does.

No wonder, the Nazis were rightwingers themselfes.

give me a prez that gets a blowjob from a chick anyday, and keeps the economy going! Rather than a "president" needle dick who fucks men, women, and children up the ass daily...with a texan smirk!
