Global security experts expressed concern Sunday that Pakistan's nuclear arsenal could wind up in the hands of Islamic radicals after President Gen. Pervez Musharraf last weekend declared a state of emergency. This statement was made by former US Ambassador to the UN Bolton.

Musharraf is in a difficult spot, Bolton said. "Even the military is filled with Islamic fundamentalists that he's tried to keep in lower positions."

it is a very scary time in the world.

I think that al-qaeda and the Taliban have a real shot of taking over Pakistan if they can assasinate Bhutto and plunge the entire country into complete chaos.

"Pakistan nukes in jeopardy"

When were they transferred to Alex Trebec?
Do they plan on using them on the show? (GAWD-I hope not!)

This guy thinks there's a plan to resue teh Pakistani nukes? In my opinion, Bush will follow personal tradition and be caught entirely flat-footed.

assassinate Bhutto

If that happens, it'll start to get slippery. The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary springs to mind.

Alex Trebec

"Not a big fan of the ladies, are you Trebek?"

Sean Connery

The "danger" posed by Iran quickly is brought into perspective. Considering the possibilities of a Pakistani coup it is now pretty obvious how irrational all the talk of war with Iran was and how inflammatory and irrational the guys like Giuliani are. He simply does not have the understanding of the ME necessary of navigate such treacherous times. The Republican candidates speak almost entirely in sound bite talking points which demonstrates just how dangerous it would be for any of them to be president. We need a leader who actually understands the complicated tinder box that the ME is, several of the Dems seem to exhibit that ability, none of the Republicans other than Ron Paul seem to.

So we have some experts who have gone on record saying the nukes may be in trouble. Wow. I really hope we do not pay these idiots much money. my dog knows the nukes may be in trouble

This all goes back to outsourcing the war in Afghanistan to the Northern Alliance, and then catering to the "sensitivity" of the Pakistanis.

They've been harboring the jihadis for over 5 years.

The time to strike was when we had them on the run. Now they are poised to at least disrupt the government if not take it over. Like there was any government there anyway. Musharraf has never been in control of Warizistan.

My bet is that he's just another guy socking away the money we've sent him in a numbered account. Things get any worse and he'll be taking a permanent vacation in Dubai.

Tragic as this may be it is a fitting end to the Bush Strategy.

President Bush has said that he trusts the leader of Pakistan. Just how far and in exactly what way did he mean?

What does that moron know? He hasn't been right about anything yet. Hopefully they bomb the red states first. Who would miss them?

He probably looked into his soul. you know the decider is a noted soul looker

Talk about moronic, hopefully wishing for the red states to be bombed first is horrifically unpatriotic. WTF, here's a clue. The terrorists don't care about the "color" of your state, they only care about the contents. When they bomb the blue states next, then what?

I am with WTF let them blow up the red ones. they deserve it, they brought the idiot to office

President Bush has said that he trusts the leader of Pakistan.

Oh I trust him as well.....

I trust him to use any means he can to hold power.

I trust him to continue to dismantle the democratic process in Pakistan.

I trust him to give aid and comfort to the Taliban and Al Queda.

I trust him to continue to use islamic radicalism as an excuse to hold power.

Now the boy president trusts him the same way as he trust Putin...

hopefully wishing for the red states to be bombed first is horrifically unpatriotic

Yeah sort of the same way that Bill O'Lielly wished San Francisco be bombed too.

Did you decry him on that one?

George Bush behind the wheel of our foreign policy reminds me of Mr. Toad in the Wind in the Willows when he got a hold of a motor car.

disaster follows everywhere he goes...

George Bush behind the wheel of our foreign policy reminds me of Mr. Toad in the Wind in the Willows when he got a hold of a motor car

Well, comparing Bush to Mr. Toad, one things for sure, both had Rats for friends...

Hey RAY you fucking cocksucker.

Stay off the Some Gave All thread!!!!!!!

What a fucking douchbag drinker!!!!!

RCADE, Why do you let that persist??????

There is no end to the unintended consequences of BushCo Policies. This country is binLaden's ticket to nuclear weapons. IMPEACH Cheney first and Bush second. Stop these motherfuckers before its too late.

We seem to be missing the critical issue: letting fanatical nut-jobs have control of nukes is a BAD thing. The amount of terror and death they could cause is unimaginable.

Putting the blame game aside, does anyone have any idea how we can stop this from happening?

Ok so does this mean that you agree that the fanatical nut job bush has to go?

1. Renounce BushCo those Policies which feed Muslim poverty, the underlying cause of their terrorism.

2. Recognizing that Cheney/Bush will never admit they're wrong, get rid of them.

3. Develop consistent policies which recognize human rights of everyone, like Carter tried to do.

4. Instead of randomly blowing the shit out of Muslim people, acknowledge their pain and suffering and work diplomatically to restore their basic human rights in the Middle East and throughout Asia.

5. Bring our militry forces home to be used only for National Defense, not as an extension of US Corporate marketing schemes.
