I own Rap Music and I enjoy it greatly. I see NOTHING wrong with Rap. Isn't Rap just the black version of the Whites Country Music only more base and bass too. Don't they rap about their lives in the hood the same way the White Country and Western "Raps" about their live in their "Hoods" You know the Country and backwoods of America. Granted Country and Western is a Cleaner version. It's still a story being told through music.

Look back on the "old school" days of rap and you will find that the likes of Public Enemy, Run DMC and Wu Tang Clan are nowhere to be found.

Spuds big bitch with Modern Rap is that it considers itself to be so dangerous and yet Spud finds it's mostly doing the safety dance and retreads the same old, same old till it becomes boring and derivitive.

That sed, Spud got luff fer some of the new school rappers like the Rascalz and Swollen Members and will always dig PE, Tribe Called Quest, NWA, Run DMC, et al.

Mostly Spud prefers to kick back with an old Pixies album or Nine Inch Nail, Peter Gabriel, the Sugarcubes, or that Goddess of Goddessses Kate Bush!!

Spuds also got luff fer country and classical and jazz and R&B and punk and Techno and Gospel and World Beat and Novelty songs.

To name but a few influences.
