In what he described as a "very frank discussion," President Bush said he told Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf that he must hold parliamentary elections and relinquish his post as head of his country's army.

Musharaff to Bush

Go FUck yourself and send more money

Well well well, King Georgie is dictating policy to a country halfway around the world. What else is new?

Bush to Musharraf: "Take Off Your Uniform."

Musharaff to Bush:

"I bet you say that to all the boys."

PS: according to NPR today, we are sending Pakistan approximately $82 million/month to "fight terrorism".

Another great Bush investment paying stupendous dividends.

Next Bush will tell Musharraf to stop torturing.

One petty tyrant counseling another.

"Next Bush will tell Musharraf to stop torturing."

Pervez please, I'd rather do it myself!

"But you can leave your hat on."

always funny to see the DR dildos contradict themselves. I thought Pakistan's marshal law was anctioned by Bush, as a dry run for 2008 in the US.

Make up your minds, and stick to a story you jackasses.

You'd think THOSE guys would be best buds. herm

Now c'mon-bushie! At least take 'im out on a date or two before you start demanding that kinda thing! After all-he may not be into the same "partners" that you are....

(JEFF GANNON-YER ORIFICE IS CALLING)........

Vern,

You would make more sense if you pulled your head out of your ass before spewing.

Did you read the article?

Ahmad Raza Khan Qasuri, an advocate at Pakistan's Supreme Court, also warned the U.S. that "we expect from our friends advice, not dictation. We are a sovereign country."

"Do we ask for a checklist from the United States, 'Why did you go to Iraq? Why did you go to Afghanistan?"' he said at the Middle East Institute. "The United States, instead of dictation, they should give us friendly advice."

We're following the politics of self-destruction. Unless Mr. Bush's pressure on Mr. Musharraf is a public charade, any action to weaken his position damages our ability to confront and combat the Islamics in Pakistan.

With Mr. Musharraf at the helm, we at least keep control of the nuclear arsenal away from the Islamics. We cannot countenance the prospect of nuclear Islamic theocrats, who represent a death cult. They do not value life, either their own or anyone else's.

Get real Mr. Bush and review your priorities. "Democracy" doesn't work for these people with an Islamic mindset. Protect the interests of America rather than providing "democracy" to these people. Remember what the "democracy" that you prevailed on the Israelis to accept in Gaza brought. Not peace. That was a gaffe.

You should also replace the schoolmarm with someone such as John Bolton, probably one of the most if not the most brilliant and capable civil servants who ever served this country. The harpies of the Senate, did a great disservice to this country when they conducted their lynching. Get rid of Ms Rice and install Mr. Bolton as your de facto if not de jure foreign policy advisor. And follow his advice.

And while you're at it, forget about any short-time plan for spreading democracy abroad in cultures where it cannot flourish, and if it did it would anyway be antithetical to our best interests.

Fully support Mr. Musharraf. Don't waiver and don't pull a Jimmy Carter as that abject ass has demonstrated the idiocy of withdrawing support from our allies because of some nonsensical model of how the world works.

Again, remember this is a New Age. It is no longer necessary to "Screw them all but six and leave them for the pallbearers." Now you can "Screw them all but one, and leave him for the urn bearer." You are beholden to no one. Act in the best interests of this country, and the welfare of the rest of the world be damned. Democracy for Pakistan should not be an issue on anyone's radar. And remember, "they" can't handle democracy.

We're with you Mr. President so long as you don't involve yourself in foolish reflection regarding matters that are of no import, such as democracy for Pakistanis.

There is one ray of hope for Pakistan, Jimmy Carter isn't President and Zbigniew Brzezinski is relegated to teaching.

'Major foreign policy events during his term of office included the normalization of relations with the People's Republic of China, . . . the transition of Iran to an anti-Western Islamic state . . . the
arming of the mujaheddin in Afghanistan to fight against the Soviet-friendly Afghan government and later to counter the Soviet invasion, and the signing of the Torrijos-Carter Treaties relinquishing U.S. control of the Panama Canal after 1999.'

Jimmy Carter sure knew how to pick them.

Remember Carter's human rights program, where he demanded the Shah of Iran step down and turn over power to the Ayatollah Khomeini?

No matter that Khomeini was a madman. Carter had the U.S. Pentagon tell the Shah's top military commanders about 150 of them to acquiesce to the Ayatollah and not fight him.

The Shah's military listened to Carter. All of them were murdered in one of the Ayatollah's first acts.

By allowing the Shah to fall, Carter created one of the most militant anti-American dictatorships ever.

Carter, worst President EVER!

The Iran-Contra Affair was a brazen and deliberate transgression by the Reagan administration of the Boland Amendment, which Congress passed in December 1982. It was conducted under the illegal auspices of the rogue National Security Council (NSC) and Rear Adm. John Poindexter -- from 1983 until October 5, 1986, when U.S. covert operator Eugene Hasenfus was forced to go before world television cameras and relate the details of the mission he and his colleagues had been undertaking when the cargo plane they were in was shot down over Nicaragua by a Sandinistan surface-to-air missile.

Under duress, Hasenfus told of an undercover U.S. government-sponsored program to resupply the anti-Sandinistan "Contras" in Nicaragua with paramilitary aid. More importantly, he explained that those in the top echelon of power in the Reagan administration had sanctioned the program.

A month later, a Lebanese magazine published an account of a secret trip to Iran that State Department official Robert McFarlane and a corny dupe lieutenant colonel named Oliver North had taken six months earlier. The account, which detailed an extensive covert arms-for-hostages policy between the NSC and Iran, swiftly reached the Western media, where it spread with the speed of a napalm-fueled brushfire.

A few weeks later, Reagan and his attorney general, Edwin Meese, announced that the NSC had indeed sold arms to Iran, ostensibly as a way to secure "stability" in the embattled Middle East -- and then diverted the proceeds from those sales to bolster the Contras in Nicaragua -- in direct violation of Congress. In scope, if not effect, the program had implications far more hideous than Watergate. Despite that, none of the major players in the Reagan administration were ever forced to testify, and Oliver North was transformed into a national hero for the obscene jingoism he displayed in not sinking the entire ship.

There goes Alexa, talking about her mom again.

By allowing the Shah to fall, Carter created one of the most militant anti-American dictatorships ever.

Yep. And by overthrowing Saddam, Bush has created a militant, terrorist infested islamic state in Iraq.

Bush had the benefit of Carter's mistakes to learn from. So what's his excuse?

So what's his excuse?

www.youtube.com

So zulu thinks by Carter demanding the Shah f Iran to step down after being overthrown by His own people wrong. Hmmmmmmmmmm Let Me think about this just a second. Hmmmmmmmmmm in other words He would rather dictate what another Country does than let them decide for themselves. Hmmmmmmmmm Seems to Me at least He doesn't believe in Democracy.

Larry Mohr

Mom deflection!

Even lamer than Carter: Rex Asshammered.

Cry for me Evita.

"we expect from our friends advice, not dictation. We are a sovereign country."

So you argue that Pakistan is sovereign and not beholden to Bush?

Make up your fucking mind!

Your earlier post said this clown was a puppet of our clown. Now you say he's an independent clown.

What clown are you trying to blow? Make a fucking a decision! I'll bet you don't swallow, just in case you have to spit.

Vern,

You would make more sense if you pulled your head out of your ass before spewing.

Sorry, Coyote, but I read the article. You are the slug who is ignoring the article, and the background facts.

You want to cast Bush as King of the World, and at the same time cast others as independent facts.

Like I said, make up your fucking mind.

I know that's hard. The real world does not fit a nasty partisan line like your brain. Learn to be more cynical and more reality based.

Since you base your life's happiness on politics (you pathetic fucking loser) you at least will be less disappointed.

Get a girlfriend. Learn how to kiss. Take her to a movie. Buy her some Taco Bell. There is a life outside of your mother's upstairs bedroom. You might even have your own toilet.

Good Luck, creep.

Get a girlfriend. Learn how to kiss.

Come to the Philippines!

Buy her some Taco Bell.

Vernon sure knows how to treat a lady.

It was interesting to read Johnson's repudiation of the Iraq war as a futile attempt to spread Democracy to the democracy-incompatible Islamists.

I think I agree with one of his first points: It seems better for both Pakistan and the world at large for Musharraf to impose martial law if it forestalls an Islamic Revolution in Pakistan.

Obviously, the situation has a lot in common with Iran 30 years ago. A widely unpopular oppressive regime is propped up by the United States to maintain the status quo of the hegemony in the Middle East. Ironically, this only foments the anti-American fervor which is in turn exploited for political gain by radical Islam.

Crucial difference: Pakistan has the bomb. I'll take a little dictatorship if it keeps the nukes safely tucked away.

Maybe level heads will prevail and Benazir Bhutto will take over and rejuvenate the democratic institutions, while still allowing the military a frim hand where it's needed.

And hopefully the ensuing civil strife will be contained within Pakistan and spill no further than the Afghanistan border. Otherwise, this has the makings of a big mess.

I get the feeling one well-placed bomb could start World War Three these days. The whole situation is reminiscent of a relatively meaningless Arch-Duke who was assassinated nearly a century ago ago.

Bush reply

Is ten billion enough?

What do you think Carter should've, could've done to keep the Iranians from booting Reza Pahlavi's sorry ass out of Iran?

Musharraff to Bush......If I take of my uniform, will you take off your clown suit?

I just love the suggested foreign policy,,NO DICTATORS !!!!!! OK if you are a dictator and you have a bomb, it is ok. But that is only if you are a small dictator. Also, you have to put your uniform in the closet.

What do you think Carter should've, could've done to keep the Iranians from booting Reza Pahlavi's sorry ass out of Iran?

As Johnson pointed out re: Iraq, we could have slaughtered a whole lot of them and then they'd love our "tender ministrations".

I'm still waiting for Reagan's response to hezbollah blowing up all those Marines in Beirut.

I mean, not the Beirut Bugout and selling arms to Iran responses, the manned-up Fighty Righty response.

Northguy, you'll no doubt remember that Cheney characterizes the actions of both Raygun and Boosh Pere as the sort that "validate the al-Qaeda strategy and invite even more terrorist attacks." (www.americablog.com)

******I think I agree with one of his first points: It seems better for both Pakistan and the world at large for Musharraf to impose martial law if it forestalls an Islamic Revolution in Pakistan.
SNOOFY ****

......if you look at the newscasts, he is not trying to keep Islamists from office... ..the police are fighting LAWYERS in suits, and supporters of Bhutto, who was democratically elected before Musharraf pushed her out.........

........he is fighting against democracy.......

Bush to Musharaff: Take off the uniform. Calling yourself President AND Commander in chief is much more effective.

the police are fighting LAWYERS in suits

Anyone who collectively beats the crap out of lawyers can't be all bad.

Interesting irony for Bush

Musharraf to Bush

"Why don't you resign and make 3/4 of your citizens happy?

"Why don't you resign and make 3/4 of your citizens happy?"

Then you'd just start complaining about President Cheney.

REDMAN

Dam, you just cut me out from under. President Cheney? That is a nasty thought.

Rephrase

"Why don't you and your attack VP Cheney quit and make 3/4 of your citizens happy?" (and 9/10ths of the world)
