Once a long-shot in the Republican presidential field, Mike Huckabee has seen his fortunes improve in Iowa, where he now trails leader Mitt Romney in polls by just 8 percent.

Follow the big corporate bucks -- and they ain't going to Huckabee.

Romney is the pre-selected "golden boy" scheduled to win the Republican nomination and Romney will -- "to everyone's total surprise! **sarcasm** -- pick currently unemployed Bush brother Jebby as his VP running mate.

Follow the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Huckabee is a tool...RP 2008!!!!!!!!!!!

CHRIS:

If Romney's the chosen one, the GOP doesn't seem to be doing much to help his cash flow. Romney had to loan his campaign $8.5 million of his own money to keep it afloat. That doesn't translate well when it comes to broad support nationally. He has a few well heeled doners (and his own money) and he's spent himself in the red in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Romney's major concern right now is looking as good as possible in the early primary states in order to generate some desperately needed cash. Iowa and New Hampshire is a Hail Mary for the Romney campaign. I don't look for him to make it much further after that.

As for JEB . . . well, he's for sale to any neo-con. I've changed my mind about him being picked as a V.P. Maybe if his brother pulls some rabbit out of the hat but at the moment the name of Bush has become synonymous. There's no doubt that JEB would still get the job of "overseer" but one with a less public profile.

huckabee seems to have always been the next one in line behind mitt and rudy...........and his support might grow as well....
fact is........a full year away, almost anything can happen.......the only thing that, at least according to recent history.....wont happen.....is a third party candidate winning.

hear that....captain?????????

Maybe if his brother pulls some rabbit out of the hat but at the moment the name of Bush has become synonymous.

Nahh, all the Drudge Righties have indicated they want nothing to do with members of the same two families running the WH again

And he's frinds with Chuck Leavell. And as governor of Arkansas he pardoned Keith Richards.

Sounds like a subversive to me.

If Huckabee wins in Iowa, all bets are off -- the GOPs will have a full fledged free-for-all on their hands going to NH and SC.

the GOPs will have a full fledged free-for-all on their hands going to NH and SC.

Scratching and biting and hitting each other with their purses? Screaming "BITCH!" at the top of their lungs?
It won't matter-they'll all go to the men's room and blow each other after the Convention anyway....
