Hmmmmm....I guess the Democrats are going to ask Schumer to step down now -- as it is obvious from his statement that he is unfit to be a Senator.

Or maybe the Democrats will just shut up and vote to confirm Mukasey after all.

Given how self righteous the democrats have become over "waterboarding' it is pretty amazing that Chuck Schumer, of all people, actually said the words ""Do what you have to do." with regards to using torture under certain circumstances.

I think there are probably very few people in this room or in America who would say that torture should never, ever be used, particularly if thousands of lives are at stake.

Is Schumer right? For example, are the large majority of people here or on kos supporters of torture in certain circumstances?
